What are the copyright regulations on this with AI? Can you be taken down on etsy for this? I just dont want to get in trouble. Do you have to say its AI generated ?
Sandra I'm going through your video for the 2nd time as a refresher. You use a lot of software which for a beginner is quite pricey when first starting out in this industry. The subscriptions and credits for most of them can become a little prohibitive especially when you also have to factor into the business advertising costs, fees for Etsy and possibly software that helps find niches and relevant keywords! It would be nice to see how you cost your output and see the net returns/profits as an example. This would give people a clearer picture of what budget they are looking at.
Word of advice to people wanting to try this: POD stickers and graphic tees are more likely to get sold. POD art on posters and canvas aren’t really sought out nearly as often, as per stats. It’s not really worth the time if the end goal is to make money. However, if you just love the idea of selling POD for funsies and expression and don’t really give a shit if your shop does well, then obviously that’s fine.

Just keep in mind that there are some fake promises made here that make your expectations really high untill you are grounded by reality. There are other TH-camrs showing you how they end up having only 20 or 30 bucks of winnings or even minus after creating 30 different low content books in the right niches, after they calculate all the costs involved. And colouring books are definitely waaay too oversaturated. So I would be careful with promises like "make 9000 $ a month", it's just how much They are making as Pros
9:07, I wonder how the quality is after printing because Digital Resolution and Print Resolution are two different things. Images for printing purposes should be 300 dpi (dot per inch). Have you printed images from this website?
So basically at this point we are heading to a world where we let Ai even think for us decide for us and create for us. It’s all amazing but doesn’t it limit our capability to create and explore our imagination
Thank you so much. Very informative video. FYI also add "--no shading" with the coloring pages so that Midjourney will not add shading to your images and will give more coloring space in your images.

Thats what people said about every invention ever. Have you ever stopped to wonder, that efficency trumps everything else? Lets take farmers for example. Back in the day, before any machinery, you were forced to work by hand/use animals to try and speed up the process. But since with modern day farming technology, farmers don't need to strain themselves as much to maintain their crops, (I'm talking physically). With your attitude. I could see you during that time period saying, Hard Work Labor by hands - RIP. Would you rather todays farmers go back to just doing everything by hand? Good luck trying to find things at the grocery store, things would be sold out quite quickly, with a long wait time for food. You might say "Yeah but thats different" and my response would be: not really. Its the same thing here. And for the record: Human Art Work Isn't Going Away just because AI is around. Just like hard work in general, by farmers, still aren't going away. Still got a tedious job to do, it just make things easier when Technology makes your life more efficent. Hope this helps.
agreed. the issue is that with the ease of everyone being able to generate art like this, devalues the skill. NO one will PAY for human created art. Does anyone remember what happened when desktop publishing and web site templates happened? Graphic designers who had work faded away. Ask me how i know. the emergent AI even more potent a force. it calls upon all the historic work of years and years of artistic history and artistic skills.
This was such a helpful video. I'm just dipping my toes into the Digital printables niche on Etsy and this video provided a very holistic overview. thanks!
So in my research about AI, they say you can't copyright an image made by a non human. So, if you allow the purchaser to say take it to walmart to have printed, how do you provide proof it is allowed to be printed, when there is no copyright? I don't understand about "commercial use" license. Do you have to buy something to give the buyer to allow printing? I don't get it.

Hi Sandra, I loved your video, but have a question regarding Kittl. Can you upload an ai image from another platform and obtain a higher resolution by running through the 300 DPI in Kittl tools? Same with resizing? Thanks so much!
Hi Sandra, great video and thanks for it. However, is it possible for you to make a video making these types of graphics with free sites rather than paid ones for beginners that do not really have money. Kittl does limit one that has the free plan. Not sure if you have made one before and if so could you send me the link.
So when we put the prints for sale, what we do say about the author of them? I mean, the artist who 'painted them. Or we say they are generated by Al, ? Can anybody comment on this.
Great overview! Idk about other countries but nothing AI generated in the US is currently eligible for any copyright (June 2023). To be legit copyrighted, it has to be human generated and the editing tools on these platforms don’t qualify as human input. Just took an AI webinar from an intellectual copyright attorney 2 weeks ago. Can they kick you off their platform? Only until someone sues them for it. They have no legal right to commercially license any AI generated artwork or text, period. While that does create a bit of a quandry for those of us who never learned how to draw, that’s where the legal status of anything AI generated stands right now. To be sure anything you post for sale is actually legally protected, the best bet is take a drawing class so you can make your own. It’s less that the cost of just one of these platforms for a year, and then it’s 100% unique. Don’t forget to sign and date them before posting the pics of them online; that’s how you know it’s real artwork. Could you digitally sign and date one of these? You’d have to be an expert at coding to strip or change all the meta data embedded in it, which is more time intensive that just learning how to draw yourself.
Is AI actually creating these images from thin air, based on your criteria or is AI simply pulling images created by other artists from the internet and serving them to you?
This was so eye opening! Thank you for sharing this. I learned a bunch! This has given me the confidence to get started creating and listing digital art on Etsy.
Why do all these TH-camrs keep lying about this? No matter how good you are with you art, AI or not, only about 10% actually make money this way and they have to spend a lot of money in ads to be able to sell
As someone who is a professional artist for the past 50 yrs, AI has degraded the value of talented artists like myself. I did see this coming with AI and it is heartbreaking to know this process has come to life. So sad that art, painting, printing has come down to this!
Hi Sandra, I started out doing Printable Wall Art after watching your videos! You are an inspiration! Just one question...I have saved my files as PDF download but would it be better to have them as 300dpi jpgs? I now have 112 listings and it would take some time to change them...also if I did need to change them, do you have a video on how to size jpgs as 300dpi? Thanks so much!
Absolutely wonderful & informative video 😁 can these printables be used on other products like t shirts, pillows and cups?? Or is it just for pictures?
Aspect ratios and cropping I find to be the most difficult part, and also file limitations on sites like Etsy, for high quality images I found you have to upload elsewhere and provide a link to the buyer as Etsy IMO has a relatively small file size limit for images.
Love seeing you use Photoshop as well. I am self taught in Photoshop and have tried an image I made in canva to add a door to a cabin, light in the window and smoke to the chimney. my question is: everybody knows about mid-journey so why do people not directly buy or take ideas from mid-journey? why are they all still buying from Etsy in the era of AI?
Knowing doesnt always mean actually putting the work. People can know about midjourney, but have no clue about turning it into something or basically how to do. Some people prefer a finished product to their liking without trying & spending time.
Thank you for this. I just subscribed as my wife and I are looking for some somewhat passive income as we enter into our second chapter of our lives (retirement) but we can't just sit back and watch the world go by. We love the idea of creating Childress coloring books. We cant wait to see the coloring book tutorial. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and ideas.
Why would somebody pay for the art when they can make themselves at a push o0f the button?Waste of time... I am a very good artist and have had my stuff up on Fine Art America for years and HAVEN'T SOLD 1! TRUST WHEN I SAY MY ART IS PRETTY TOP NOTCH FANTASY REAlism.Blended with nature, animals, beautiful sunsets ,beaches, sealife ,jungle I am VERY proud of my art.I used to just draw with pencil and ballpoint pen now I have graduated to digital art which is by far my favorite because I can achieve such a high level of success without canvases laying around and my place stinking like paint thinner. There is a lot bigger learning curve as well working digitally and finding a work flow that you can just rinse and repeat.Once you learn the tools and purchase a digital art tablet like a Wacom Intuos or the Cintique you will not hardly ever use paper to draw again.
Fine Art America sucks for selling art because it is completely saturated. If you want to sell your art, have it printed on items and sell it a craft shows. Take your art and let it inspire designs for fabric that you can have printed on Spoonflower and you can sell fabric or you can make things with fabric…it’s endless.
Great video - THANKS! Question on one of the terms of use comments at the end...'...allow you to use these images with a commercial license specifically is you are paying for a subscription." So if we pay a subscription (not a free version), then that's considered having a commercial license? That doesn't sound right to me . I'm confused, and now quite leery of using them.
I set up my shop and found that every other store was AI generated prints...Just like how everyones doing printables as well ...I have over a hundred listing with ZERO sales and after a couple months I noticed several other stores were stealing my AI artwork ... Need less say, I dropped all this AI print stuff

Hi Sandra, I am well versed in Midjourney and Creative Fabrica. I wish you would do a video on exactly how you are marketing these printables. Are you buying Google ads or Facebook ads, or what. I don't know much about Etsy, is there a way to buy ads through them? Thanks
Great video. Can you walk us through licensing please? Does a subscription automatically give you the license to sell it? Also, are AI generated images original and sellable as is? Thank you!
Thank you so much! Yes I mention in the video that every platform is different so it's important to go through the terms of use in detail. Most websites give commercial licenses as long as you're paying for the subscription
@SandraDi I was wondering if you might have templates for your printables(wall art) sizes? I have watched so many of your tutorials and i am ready to upscale my Etsy shop. This part just shoots over my head, I can't figure out ratios how many to make, jpg png etc..any help appreciated.
In the future, you should mention the fees that Etsy charges and the fact that almost all of these stores never sell anything. But get billed by Etsy for seller fees.
I'm new to Esty, and I am very impressed with this video. Great job. I do have a question, I am trying to build an Esty page to sell my friends 6 homemade Acrylic paintings. How do you list more then one painting on Esty? Thanks. :)
Love the information you shared. I have a question. What size are you making your art files? What is the average width and height that you are using? Regards :)
Thanks for taking the time to make this footage - but if i wanted to create something and sell it in my store is it cheaper to upload on to a printing company and have them sent to me or buy a printer (if so what printer would be recommended)
Have you found a way to blow up images from places like Midjourney? You showed that Kittl apparently offers different sizes for large sized artwork but what about those other services? Thanks!
Hello! I really liked your video. Could you please tell me what website do you use to research how much revenue the businesses are making? Is it paid? Thank you 🙏
I upscale it twice on Midjourney and found my images to be good. However that's why I recommend Kittl mostly because you actually customize the resolution :)
when you mention you can use with a commercial license are you talking about when you sell to an etsy buyer ? and can that buyer use for commercial sales?

I can't help but admire the excellence of your channel! Your in-depth insights into the world of online income are both informative and engaging. Regrettably, my own channel, exploring similar topics, lacks the visibility it deserves. Here's to the outstanding success of your esteemed channel
Hello Sandra. There is some AI that transforms photos into art with different styles such as watercolors, oil paintings, etc.
Thank you for for creating this tutorial. It's perfect for beginners .. all the info is 'to the point.'
The hardest part is not generating the images but promoting and selling the images.
Regards :)
I'm so glad you enjoyed this! Most of my files are 16" x 20" :)
@@SandraDi thank you so much for the information I greatly appreciate it
Thanks for taking the time to make this footage - but if i wanted to create something and sell it in my store is it cheaper to upload on to a printing company and have them sent to me or buy a printer (if so what printer would be recommended)
Can you explain or make a video of what the dpi and how you download the files to make them look good when printed?
Have you found a way to blow up images from places like Midjourney? You showed that Kittl apparently offers different sizes for large sized artwork but what about those other services? Thanks!
Hello! I really liked your video. Could you please tell me what website do you use to research how much revenue the businesses are making? Is it paid? Thank you 🙏
The issue you have is the dpi. Image quality is too low to sell for any large print even when you upgrade the image in MidJourney
I upscale it twice on Midjourney and found my images to be good. However that's why I recommend Kittl mostly because you actually customize the resolution :)
Great video! What are the dimensions of the slide you opened and used in Kittl? Thank you!
when you mention you can use with a commercial license are you talking about when you sell to an etsy buyer ? and can that buyer use for commercial sales?
Will you be doing a course?
Hi Sandra! Another class video, quick question how do you go about adding frames to your AI generated art for your Etsy shop images of the product?
Hi there, great vid!! When you use Kittl or Midjourney to generate an AI image, is that image unique or a copy of someone else's work?
Thank you Sandra. God bless you..yet another great video ❤
You're so welcome!! I'm glad you enjoyed this! ❤️
Wonderful video very informative i've always wanted to sell an Etsy!! Question for you - Where did you go in a shop's profile to see what their revenue was for the month? I can't seem to find it? Thank you!!
Nicely done Sandra! Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge. Is the intent to use all 4 of these tools in complement with one another when designing printables?
No not necessarily! You can use 1 or more! It depends on what you're comfortable with :)
Great Video! Thank you! I would like a video further explaining how to build a planner in Kittl if you are able to put something together. Thanks!
Thanks for your video! So helpful! I am just starting out and wondering what pixel count these images need to be list as a digital download. Thanks!
This was very informative & well paced. Well done!
How many plugs for your affiliations can you fit into one video.
This video is great! Where can i find instructions to transfer my designs to Etsy?
How did you get such clear images? I always get the ears cut off or too much detail that would not be able to be colored on.
From which tool specifically?
@@SandraDi oh sorry! In Midjourney.
LOVE YOUR CONTENT,LONGTIME SUBBIE!! Can you do a more in depth vid on how to do the planners thru midjourney .I have all the content i want to use, just dont know how to do it.PLEASE HELP
Amazing video!👍👏 I just began my comic book collection and found Toon Haven. They have an incredible range of digital comics for every genre, including the hard to find ones. Lifetime updates too!
I got confused when you switched from talking about kittle to creative fabrica. So.. do you need both or just kittle??
This is super helpful..I was curious about the sizing when people go to download the product. I get a bit lost in which sizes to provide and how to do that.
The best way to determine the sizes is to look at competitor shops to see what they offer :) for this example I'm using 16" x 20"
@@SandraDi thanks so much Sandra! Love love your content! Appreciate the help!
You are the best 👏👏👏
I subscribed and liked many of your videos and I'e got so much inspiration.
Thank you!!! ❤
I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos!! Thank you for your kind words :)
This is some very helpful and useful information! Many thanks for sharing and thank you for kind of walking us through how to go about doing these things. They are seemingly, very complicated on the surface. Have a fantastic day. 😊
Those were amazing ideas!!! Thank you so much for the information and time.
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching!
Man, this comment section is sus AF...
Super helpful, totally worth watching!
Another great video Sandra! Have you also covered Canva with their AI features?
Not yet only because I find Canva's licensing terms very confusing lol
Can you give me more details about the best prompts to use? Thank you... You are amazing 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Definitely had to give you a Like. Also, do we need to absolutely get a license to be able to sell these printables we create online?
Hello and thank you for your advices . I'm from South America, do you know if this works for South American countries?
It would be nice to know how long it takes to get to the first $15K month in sales. I know for some it can take very long to get their first sale.
Many thanks for the video. Is there any update for the selling result of those images made in the video? Is it in good selling? Many thanks again.
I always see creators verifying how much a shop is making but where is that tool at??
Super video! This information is a GOLD!
LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS !!!!! Quick question Sandra …. Is there a specific reason you use kittl for ai text to image rather than canva ?
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! Yes because I personally find Canva's licensing terms very confusing lol and Kittl is very clear :)
@@SandraDi ok thank you for replying ill take a look … ❤
