    I just bought this bike. After riding a road bike for over sixty years. I treated myself to the cargo bike (dual battery). This is a serious bike.
    This bike isn’t a yuppie toy to drive to the coffee shop on Saturday morning. It’s a reliable cross country bike. Great to drive to Costco on.
    It is flat out fun to drive. The kid has good taste in watches.

    I just got the expedition. Im 68 and live in rural Texas. Im giving up my mini Cooper for this bike. I got the side bags and the Orbitor with two ice chests on top. The grocery store is only a couple of miles away and everything else is close also. Its finally warming up enough to ride and im looking forward to it.

    I've got the same bike and have done 600 miles on it so far. I did a 50 mile ride yesterday in assist 3 (class 2 setting) with pedeling and 2600 feet of climbing. I only used 50% of the dual batteries. Amazing! Tires were at 40 psi and I weigh 200 lbs. I've had zero issues so far.

    You don't need to use the key to install the batteries on the bike. You just simply slide them in and you'll hear a snap as they lock into place.

    Nice video dude 😊
    I live in the suburbs of Chicago and been thinking about an electric bike, just as a back up ride / weekend toy.
    Those quick release pedals are standard? It seems extra risk of theft.always having disassemble so many parts when parking doesn't seem convenient.

    • @NickKuiken
      @NickKuiken  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the support! As far as I know, this is the only Lectric model with the quick-release pedals. I thought about the possibility of them getting ripped off when parking for longer periods of time outdoors but am not too too worried about it. If someone is stealing bike pedals that's just..... wild 😭
      I have a couple friends in the 'burbs that have the XP 3.0 that folds up nicely and can pack it in their car or bring it downtown on the Metra trains.
      But its crazy how many bikes I will see tied with multiple locks connected to each removable part and it looks hilarious

      @jerrymarin9435 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NickKuiken I am also wondering how you feel about riding this bike compared to a 26inch tire bike handling wise because I am not sure which size tire bike I want.

    • @NickKuiken
      @NickKuiken  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jerrymarin9435 It depends on what you'll be doing more of if you plan on going on any sort of offroad terrain or trails pretty often 26in tires could be a good option for sure, but if most of your riding will be on a paved surface not doing anything crazy 20in should suffice even if you occasionally want to go out on a trail every now and then

    I am considering getting the EAhora Romeo.
    Your bike looks fantastic and it has a great many features that I like. However, 20 inch tires and a small seat plus no suspension are major turn off for me.
    The Romeo has 26 inch tires. A motorcycle style seat. Full suspension. Still goes about 75 miles on a single charge. The only drawback that I can see is the price. The Romeo is $1000 more. That’s not a problem for me but it is a consideration to many others.

      Faster with the same amount of rider effort as this uses a cadence sensor instead of a torque sensor. Both will assist up to 28mph. A torque sensor ebike gives you more control over the assist provided by the motor but it requires some effort from the rider. My favorite setup is a torque sensor with throttle assist. More control but a throttle for times when I don’t want to work as hard.

    • @NickKuiken
      @NickKuiken  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh yeah I will for sure be using it all winter, I will probably get a separate set of tires and everything should be good. Only thing I have to worry about are the batteries which all e-bikes with lithium batteries do not run as efficient in colder temps but I’m not worried about it. This past winter was very average and only had a few days that were extremely cold and even then my old bike ran great

    Lectric needs to find a better solution for the kick stand.

    • @NickKuiken
      @NickKuiken  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I definitely think so too, with the weight and payload it definitely needs to be more sturdy and the part that touches the ground is too skinny so if you put it on soft ground it’ll dig into it

    • @chow-chihuang4903
      @chow-chihuang4903 ปีที่แล้ว

      They definitely used the split-ring lock washer wrong by putting a flat washer between it and the frame, completely negating the function of the lock washer. You could remove the flat washer, but I replaced both with a wedge-lock washer. The brand I use is Nord-Lock. Haven’t experienced any kickstand bolts loosening since.

    First i want to say thank you for a great video. Ive been a gravel rider on rigid steel frame and have crossed the U.S. on my oedal bike. Getting older and the hills are getting steeper. Im looking for my first ebike. Lectric is the winner now its just deciding what will me more comfortable for my next ride across the country. The Expedition or the new Xpeak. I wish i could get an Expedition with frint suspension. And 29x4 wheels tires. Minimum 26x4. I ride mostly dirt roads and two track. Anyway, i really enjoyed your video. Out of about 15 Expedition video reviews ive watched. You're the first to mention tires are pre-slimed.

      Not having suspension is the only complaint I have for sure, I’ve actually racked up just over 5,000 miles now and that’s still really the only thing that has bothered me but I’ve gotten used to it. Especially if you’re going on dirt roads and trails it would be a life saver

    Tell Levi that i have been waiting for 3 months and still no delivery and i have received comments from others with trouble getting the delivery of ebike. Very frumstrating waiting around for a delivery only to get disappointed. I know now that it is in detroit which is only 1 hour away and we are only 10 minutes from main highway. It def doesn’t not have a 150mi range. I know, I have the xpedition. The tires also suck. Wish it came with aggressive ones to go on dirt tails. In addition the bike rattles and makes a loud noise as you accelerate on the throttle.

    • @NickKuiken
      @NickKuiken  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There’s a lot of videos testing the range, granted it’s marketed as 150miles but on the lowest pedal assist level, but when tested it’s accurate within 5 miles. There’s a chart somewhere on the site that shows pedal assist level vs mileage. Do you know any bikes that claim to have a high range with just throttle that are classified as a class 2 or 3, I know there’s ones out there but are definitely more on the electric motorcycle side of the spectrum

But when you're trying to get lemmings to buy one so you can pocket a little change anything goes... including your integrity. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinions and that’s great, that’s what creates that competition and see more new models with different features and new technologies get released! What matters most is what you do on a daily basis and if your bike is capable of said things and if you are happy with it

Since you "just like their stuff" what other ebikes have you compared to them, ridden, tested, and owned? How many miles have you ridden in the last decade? Longest distance in 24 hours? Most consecutive days ridden? Highest speed? Steepest/longest assent? An opinion is great if it's well-informed and worse than worthless when it's not.
