The range claim on the Lectric Xpedition is a bit optimistic like every eBikes companies out there. If you were to use throttle all the time and ride on top speed of 28mph all the time then you’re likely to have a range of 17.71 miles/28.50 kilometers per full charge on that eBike.

Just sharing my experience. I ordered on May 18th. Soon after I saw all the comments of people not getting their bikes and the “pre-sale” notice. I was disappointed to learn (after several days attempting communication) my bike would not be shipping until June 10th, and that the next run of bikes would be June 13th. So my bike would ship on June 13th at the latest. Those days came and went. I’ve sent several emails to the person I was communicating with, he has stopped responding to me. On the 14th I filed a claim on PayPal to get my money back. They have 10 days to respond on PayPal, and so far they have not. Today at 3:07 AM I received a FB message that they are out of the color I ordered and they could ship a different color today. They didn’t even apologize. I’m done. I want my money back. I don’t trust the company or the warranty. They are still listed as in stock on the website!!! Someone else is ordering a grey ebike right now, unaware of how duplicitous the company is being.
Update: I ordered my Aipas over a month ago. After several time of “it will ship tomorrow” I started a dispute via PayPal for a bike or a refund. They offered me $20 on a $860 order. All I want is my money back, but I’m guessing they’re trying to accrue as much interest as possible. My plan for today is to report them to the BBB today. I encourage everyone to look at the FB adds comments and sort to “all comments.” Lots of people not getting bikes they ordered. This company is not trustworthy.
I like the rides on the dirt trails a little more than the road trails. But I like both. And thanks for the information on changing the speed limit. ✌✌✌
I heard Aipas manufactures the frames that lectric uses so Aipas is technically the parent company with less customer support and less accessories which is interesting like Hyundai and Kia
We are also trying our best to give customers the best products and fastest customer service. For cargo ebike, folding frame may be not a good choice, and now our A6 cargo ebike uses 750w hub motor wish you love our A6 cargo ebike
@@AipasEbike Would it be possible for your next model to install a front suspension onto your cargo bike with a (at least) 80mm front suspension fork? Cycling is one of my hobbies and I know a bit more than your average female as what makes good performing components onto a bicycle frame. I even used to work for a bicycle Corporation business back in 2007-2008 in San Diego.
Does this take all the same accessories as the xpedition? Aipus doesn't have any rear cushions, for example, and I'm wondering if the xpedition ones will fit this.... and I guess whether there are 3rd party ones that'll fit.
Other review tips that no one does, but would be awesome: 1. From stop, use single half pedal stroke in highest gear, with pedal starting at 120-135 degrees from bottom, while holding throttle for exactly one second. Then just glide no throttle. Most displays will keep showing higher speed on glide. This number is the actual 1 second acceleration from 0 on the ebike. How fast you can make a left turn. 2. Roll in at a PAS level that gives under 10mph max, pedal, throttle, and increase PAS level simultaneously for exactly 2 mississipi count, then stop everything and glide. Most displays again keep going up. This tests the combination of bike ergonomics, mid-low end acceleration relevant to rolling stop sign crossing. Could also try shifting mechanical gears while increasing PAS level for an "extreme score". These tests take very little time. One spot on your route suited would be the sidewalk before you join traffic, that also has that desert bush garden you sometimes cross.
Prefer the Lectric Xpedition, essentially same price. For a cargo bike strength & durability are more important so prefer the rigid fork over a cheap suspension fork. Also these Chinese companies are notoriously bad for customer support. (Plus you get the cool telescopic seat post.)
I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re from the same factory. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if an Xpedition 2.0 comes out soon and looks exactly like this. Not having front suspension is rough though. That makes for a very jarring ride even if it’s carbon fiber like a road bike.
I have the Xpedition. I live in the Midwest in small town and the roads are crap. The pavement is patched on top of patch. I will be looking to replace the front forks along with a front motor. likely same chinese company that makes both. I noticed that AIPAS shortened the location where the Xpedition has the extra battery. If they would have kept it the same dimensions, there could have been an option to to have three batteries.
I do like the upgrades on this bike. However are you going to get support a year after owning? Will you get a new display or controller after warranty is done like Lectric may do? Probably not. The return info/warranty info on this brand is super strict. They didnt address the kickstand issue either. Shocks can wear out after a while if they are cheap, you wont be able to buy this fork anywhere which is why a sturdy steel fork is preferred. I'd hold off till a mid drive with torque sensing is available. There is 1 service center in the entire US according to their website, and I couldnt even find a name for it in Michigan. I do like that they list the cells on this bike though, something Lectric doesnt advertise.
I agree with your points especially the suspension part, if you actually use this to haul cargo with an sort of weight your going to end up locking that front suspension anyway and it's just another thing to wear out. Good luck getting a replacement later
Have you heard of ADO 28 e bike? It’s a new bike from ADO using a crowdfunding campaign for the new bike. But has 350W motor, hydraulic brakes, the battery is in the down tube on seat post and has carbon belt drive. I know a single speed but maybe the belt drive lighter.
I mainly watch your videos for the scenery, so I wouldn't mind it if you changed up the routes a bit. My favourite video that you have done was the Aniioki long range test.
How about reviewing some of the DIY kits, both hub drives and mid drives? I’ve built a few and think they offer lots of advantages over prebuilt E-bikes.
I like your route and it does make it easy to compare against other bikes. Specifically key points like your garage incline and the California incline and sometimes beach riding. However the rest is just range, so if you wanted to vary that I think that would be cool.
I don’t know. It’s very good but the site says 1500w motor and the actual motor is 750w. It tells me they might be lying about the UL certification in the battery.
What the heck? It's a Lectric XPedition with a quiet motor, actual break light, turn signals, a horn, front suspension, and a normal seat post?!.... And I bought 2 XPeditions last summer!!! If Aipas would do the dual batteries in back like Lectric + their integrated battery (3 batteries) imagine the range!
Im considering getting this cargo bike and doing a proper review of it against my XPedtions under full load up the giant hills of the steel city. Reviewing a cargo bike with no cargo seems a bit pointless. Still a great channel but reviewers whos job it is to review products they get for free or nearly free have some bias.
I would watch it...if it would get fed to me by YT atleast...I am cross shopping this now with the XPedition, the Aventon Abound, and the Velotric Packer1...if I could afford it I would consider the Specialized Haul LT that just launched but it's a little pricey for my pocket ATM...
@@triaxe-mmb the abound is only $100 more than the XPedition and offers a lot, this Chinese clone is $100 less so savings there but they are a brand new company, with no support and likely a worthless warranty as they are not big enough to offer one you can trust. Lectric and Abound are big with support centers everywhere. I'd skip this cargo bike and only focus on the XPedition or the Abound. Heck nobody else has even reviewed this bike outside this channel and it will be another failed brand trying to build off what Lectric created
@@DestinationFawked that's exactly my concern... Honestly if someone reliable took the best features of the Lectric XPedition, Aventon Abound, and Velotric Packer1 cargo bikes and sold it for a slight premium - say $200-300 more than the most expensive of the 3 - that works - I would buy it as a preorder...that works out to a 10-15% premium over currently available prices on those 3 bikes (after the perennial discounts). My ask list is basically a front suspension fork, seat suspension with dropper post, dual battery set up with 3 amp charger, an optional 4amp charger, 26" front wheel, turn signals and active brake lights, loud horn, name brand brakes (Tektro probably at this price point), 2 Yepp childseat windows, etc... They all have some of these features - a bike with all of them would be epic in my mind...
I got the A6. I'm up for comparing performance carrying same loads on similar slopes. You can use Google maps to calculate the slope. The A6 is more powerful and a better hill climber than my Engwe Engine Pro.
Hi! I really like the bike but for kids I dont see an orbitor or similar and rack cushions (they got running board at least ) so do you know if we can adapt accesories from other brand like Lectric maybe?
the market has suspension forks for 20" (fat?) tires as much up to 100mm. This is the more appropriate travel range a bike should at least have for hard surfaces: 80mm. I would also upgrade the shifter to a trigger and the bike should also start at 8-speed cassette.
Been watching for a few weeks. Do you have a list of the bikes you have for sale? I might be interested in one next month. I live in SoCal so could pick it up if I found one I liked.
Can you try out some of cmacewheel ebike they have a dual 750 w motor bike (cmacewheel r20 max) it seems reasonably priced or if you could try get a y20 of the same brand, it's with built in indicators too

Are there other routes you can take that provide the same measure of difficulty that your current route demonstrates? Why not mount your smart phone on the handle bar alongside the e-bike's display? Then we can get a side-by-side comparison of the two. Perhaps measure different types of data or show the progress of the route as you're riding it? Is there software for your smart phone that lets it take the place of the e-bike computer? So that you can gain better features in a GUI that you like?
Hey dude, love your videos and chose Aipas for my first ebike. Unfortunately since ordering I have encountered dozens of people waiting for months for a bike that is listed as “in stock” on the website but definitely isn’t. They claim to have the bike on your doorstep in 2-5 days. People are waiting months. Some aren’t getting bikes at all. Just look in the comments of their FB advertisements. People are all over the place not receiving their orders. Any chance you can use your influence to warn people off? This company appears to be acting in bad faith.
This copy cat bike brings a possible video to mind. Load the lectric and this bike up to max weight. And test them out. I predict the frount suspension fork would become a liability. And the frame integrated battery cut out may be a possible bend point to give way under load.
Wow! seems to address the common complaints of the Lectric Expedition and is currently selling at lower price. Adds front suspension, brake light, turn signal and quieter motor. The dual battery is currently $1.8k before coupon, $1.6k after coupon. Expedition dual battery is $1.7k.
@@hackman88 Same thoughts when he pulled all those staples and I was like, just pull the bike out dude. I'll admit the front suspension is nice to have and almost 300 bucks cheaper because this company doesn't charge tax, but there is a lot to go wrong going by Lectric forums and while Lectric has the capacity to help out if there is an issue including having a service network nationwide - this company ain't got shit. The deciding factor for me is the dual batteries on the Lectric are standard and can be replaced and swapped easily. Internal batteries have a clock that is always ticking as to when you'll have to either overpay for OEM ones form the company itself (and usually at a premium) or rebuild the cell inside. The future proof option is Lectric for me, but gambles do pay off sometimes so I can see why the savings and suspension are enough to convince one to go with this Aipas.

One thing you keep leaving out, considering all the fires that have happened, you should tell us what certs. it has, such as UL, and esp. the NYFD/UL cert. the better bikes are showing in their specs. Instead, e-bikes sold in New York City are required to be certified by nationally recognized testing laboratories. You should look for symbols such as UL, ETL, and CSA on the e-bike or other mobility devices1. These laboratories test these products to ensure they meet industry standards and are safe to operate under normal circumstances1. For example, a new law requires all electric bicycles sold in the city to be certified to UL 2849, all electric scooters to be certified to UL 2272, and all lithium-ion batteries for mobility devices to be certified to UL 22712. Violators of the law may be subject to a civil penalty of up to $1,000 per violation

I like your route. You and a couple other channels are very helpful with comparisons (not to mention I had a Marina del Rey address and you ride where I rode). But doing your special side projects are also very fun. Do both. 😉
@@birdiemaker5142 You ordered it during peak bike season, during a sale.
@@jamesbrown5262I’ve bought ice cream in summer too. Wasn’t lied to a bunch and offered a $20 refund on an $800 order.
@@jamesbrown5262 but for them to not notify you if delays or reply to your emails is enough that I will not give them my money.
great review thanks. i like the route you currently take for each bike .makes it easy to compare each bike....peace out
I like the rides on the dirt trails a little more than the road trails. But I like both. And thanks for the information on changing the speed limit. ✌✌✌
I heard Aipas manufactures the frames that lectric uses so Aipas is technically the parent company with less customer support and less accessories which is interesting like Hyundai and Kia
Getting closer...all they have to do is have one that is folding and also has a mid drive motor with a torque sensor beginning at 750watts. :)
We are also trying our best to give customers the best products and fastest customer service.
For cargo ebike, folding frame may be not a good choice, and now our A6 cargo ebike uses 750w hub motor

@@StarEssences thanks, I will share your suggestion with our manager
He knows your safe word 18:17 🤣
Does this take all the same accessories as the xpedition? Aipus doesn't have any rear cushions, for example, and I'm wondering if the xpedition ones will fit this.... and I guess whether there are 3rd party ones that'll fit.
Yes, supposedly it takes all the same accessories
Other review tips that no one does, but would be awesome:
Please buy one, then make your own video. Thanks!
I've riden thousands of Mike's on Ohio & AZ and I've seen more cycles in your 20 minute video them I have in my entire life.

@@AipasEbikeWhere are you accessories for hauling kids? I’m looking for seat cushions and an orbitor. Or does Lectric branded accessories fit the A6?
@@QLaCarver I read that they do fit, and AIPAS was the Chinese Lectric factory until they stole their designs and opened own bike company lol
I have the Xpedition. I live in the Midwest in small town and the roads are crap.
The pavement is patched on top of patch.
I will be looking to replace the front forks along with a front motor.
likely same chinese company that makes both. I noticed that AIPAS
shortened the location where the Xpedition has the extra battery.
If they would have kept it the same dimensions, there could have been an option to
to have three batteries.
I would love to see you look at the zooz 1100!
Like the repeats.
Suspension, though minimal, is an improvement.
I have the Mukkpet Stepwagon.. seems very similar.
Change your route?
Okay 👍🏻
Change is the only constant 😎
Another great review and I haven’t watched it yet 😂. I enjoy watching these. Keep them coming
Yes , state park trails.
How about reviewing some of the DIY kits, both hub drives and mid drives? I’ve built a few and think they offer lots of advantages over prebuilt E-bikes.
Front suspension is a must! I like a big rack... 🤣🤣🤣
Hey dood, I like your videos on the E Bikes, but I would like to see the where the bridge that goes up more unless it is just a walking bridge @ 21:56
😆 ok, I’m going to start expanding my routes and riding areas
I like your route and it does make it easy to compare against other bikes. Specifically key points like your garage incline and the California incline and sometimes beach riding. However the rest is just range, so if you wanted to vary that I think that would be cool.
I don’t know. It’s very good but the site says 1500w motor and the actual motor is 750w. It tells me they might be lying about the UL certification in the battery.
750 continuous, 1500w peak is how I think it works.
I like the fact you do the same run, it helps us compare bikes better.🙂
Hi! I really like the bike but for kids I dont see an orbitor or similar and rack cushions (they got running board at least ) so do you know if we can adapt accesories from other brand like Lectric maybe?
Does the aipas have a shorter cargo area? Looks smaller than the lectric.
Where did you get the small rear seat ? I don’t see it on three website
the market has suspension forks for 20" (fat?) tires as much up to 100mm.
Hang on a second I thought that frame was for lectric. What in the heck. This is so crazy I’m changed 😮 I honestly thought that lectric was 🤔
Thanks for the math breakdown @2:57! 14.4AH / 2amps = 7.2hrs to charge. - The Cool Courier 🛵🟦
Sorry if I missed it in the video, but is it torque or cadence sensor?
Woooh that looks like my lectric xpedition!!!! but one battery is in the bike!!

Is this a new expedition model? It has a few extra accessories I didn't see it on before.

Can you try out some of cmacewheel ebike they have a dual 750 w motor bike (cmacewheel r20 max) it seems reasonably priced or if you could try get a y20 of the same brand, it's with built in indicators too
Can you do a video riding on a dirt road with a heavy cargo load. or with a person riding on back
HI tehre, I don't get is Aipas a diffrent or same brand as Lectric? also I don't see kids accessory in Aipas site, can I use the one of lectric? thanks in advance
I can’t get mine to go into cruise control I hold it down and the walk work comes on and not the cruise how to fix this ?
Hey dude, love your videos and chose Aipas for my first ebike. Unfortunately since ordering I have encountered dozens of people waiting for months for a bike that is listed as “in stock” on the website but definitely isn’t. They claim to have the bike on your doorstep in 2-5 days. People are waiting months. Some aren’t getting bikes at all.
Just look in the comments of their FB advertisements. People are all over the place not receiving their orders.
Any chance you can use your influence to warn people off? This company appears to be acting in bad faith.
1:22 Has to be the Stromer st7.
I like the same route for comparison but if you want to change it up and have an addition to same I would watch it!
This copy cat bike brings a possible video to mind. Load the lectric and this bike up to max weight. And test them out. I predict the frount suspension fork would become a liability. And the frame integrated battery cut out may be a possible bend point to give way under load.
The german one was 6k. How much is this one?
Ok $1600 or $1900 w/ 2 batteries
hi, we now has discount for A6-D cargo ebike, you can cilck link see more details
Wow! seems to address the common complaints of the Lectric Expedition and is currently selling at lower price. Adds front suspension, brake light, turn signal and quieter motor. The dual battery is currently $1.8k before coupon, $1.6k after coupon. Expedition dual battery is $1.7k.
BTW, the packaging appears to be the same as XPpedition (Matt just failed to open the XPpedition properly😀)
Ok bought it. Hope it's good.
Key difference is the brand experience and support for the Lectric vs. Barely known brand

The future proof option is Lectric for me, but gambles do pay off sometimes so I can see why the savings and suspension are enough to convince one to go with this Aipas.
what are the specs on the 2nd battery
Can you tell me please the app used for speed and distance. Thanks
They use Strava. Tracking speed and distance is free :D
Hey! Thanks for another solid review. The bike in question tho? Yeesh. The welds looked awful on that thing. - As far as your cruise circuit goes, man it's cool as hell and I wish i lived someplace that chill. I don't mind other routes but yeah, your standard '20 percent hill' and California Incline runs really let me compare machine performance... I'm a REALLY big dude (6'6" & 340 lbs), power is critical, and torque is KING. - I guess just keep on keepin' on, I'm fighting a bunch of anti-electric and anti-eBike crap in my home town right now, and I always love your chill. - Oh and any chance you might review the Fabulous Road Warrior X2 60v? I'd love to see more unique ebikes that AREN'T moped styled. Thanks again dude.
That was my first thought. Those welds are terrible.
I got the A6 and the welds are perfectly fine.
Did you mean 'fine' as in 'Servicable and solid' or 'fine' as in smooth and high quality... Aventon and Trek do good welds, and that's my standard. - I'm glad your A6 was good for you, but if your welds look good and all, that just suggests their internal QC is SUS. - Just my 2c, not tryna start a fight.

There should be a way to unlock the throttle only speed also. You probably only unlocked the PAS speed limit.
whats the cell phone app your using tried wave and its not doing it ....
The front suspension would be nice, but using different battery conformations in a dual battery setup kinda sucks...
I agree with several others on here that your standard route should stay, as it does help to compare different bikes. I do have to admit, I dig the rides up to the Hollywood sign, as well.
I can't find it at $19.99 Do I need a code for price.... Luv ur vds
Dang it. Just bought the competition bike. Should have waited…

I like this bike
so many left over pay as you go scooters its sad they dont have any parking stations for it
Could it carry 3 batteries and go 100 miles without charging? I get it has a spot for the 2nd.
The rear battery area is narrower than on the XPedition and cannot fit another battery.
So this is a rip off of a Letric xpedition? They just added forks. Looks like it was made in the same place.
This bike totally (almost identical), reminds me of the Lectric XPedition 3.0 bike. Speaking of that XP bike. Is it worth buying it? And is it as durable as advertised? Thank You.
These copy cats! Great review though
Ok: he just said that it "claims to have 45miles of range in a single charge.

Now im really second guessing this decision.....
depends on alot of things, I get about 14miles on one battery with the way I ride and my weight.
