Are these springs Eibach Pro-Kits or Eibach Sportlines? Nicely done though, great to have this video out there for us Genesis owners messing with suspension.
Did you have any issues getting the Rear Control Arm Bolt Hole lined up with Knuckle? The fronts were quick and easy but the rear installation is kicking my ass. I can't get the outer bolt hole (not the one for the Shock) to even come close to lining up. When I jack up the arm it gets hung up on the knuckle and hits the shock. There seems to be a 'twist' in the whole assembly which is causing the hole not to line up. I'm scratching the crap out of the new Bilstein B8's.
I have a 2012 3.8 with the brembos on it, im assuming those rims are 18s but have you heard of rubbing or clearance issues with 19s and big brakes? springs vs coilovers im not sure which makes more sense right now
Hey, my wheels are actually 19s. And yes I have had heard of issues with wheels hitting the brakes with genesis coupes with brembos. To fix this issue you just got to get a wheel with a less aggressive offset. I dont have to worry about that because i dont have the brembo brakes on my genesis. My rear wheels have a +22 offset and my fronts are a +30. Springs vs coils is not going to make a difference with hitting your brakes. But it depeneds on what you want. Springs are a cheap way to lower your car that give you a decent ride. Where coils gives you the opportunity to go lower or higher depending on your liking along with a nicer ride but will cost you more than double the price of springs.
@@acauto7886 i don't plan on going crazy on mine, isr catback and a wider intake, thermal manifold spacer, engine mounts, sway bars, and then either springs or coilovers. I know springs will be more soft and the handling is my focus, but there's a shit ton of adjustable coilover research for me to do as well

The ride is pretty good, they are a little stiff if anything but compared to the stock suspension, they are much better. And no, i still have the springs on my car right now, with no problems whatsoever. But, i did put my stock wheels back on with a set of winter tires on👍
@@jonathanellis7758 yeah I've heard about that as well. But my struts only had 65k miles on them. So the drive quality is pretty good. Not much of a difference compared to the stock springs.

Hey, it was a bit tight. But I was able to get the bolts through safely. I remember have to use a jack to hold the lower arm in place
Do you have to use an impact wrench to remove the top hat?
No, but just be really careful using a rachet👍

Ah alright sounds good. Coilovers will be the best option if your specifically going for handling.

I didn't get an allingment because I didn't see any difference in the driving. But it is definitely recommended though

Unfortunately no, they are one setting because they are going onto the stock strut

Should this work for a bk2 genesis coupe? Or at least be a little similar for setting them up?
As far as I know, the bk2 stock struts are the same as the bk1, so you should have no issues👍

I never had any problems with the springs and tje struts were fine as well. But I'm no longer on springs, im actually on air suspension now👍
