It's great to have quality content like this on a regular basis :) Thanks to Emily and Overtake for all you do for the simracing community!
My opinion the grass and gravel changes are the most important improvements. I hope the number of times cars get collected up and wrecked from other cars will be greatly reduced. I have been pushing some corners and previously in situations the car would do wild uncontrolled spins now slightly push you offline and slow you down and you may loose a position or more but you can get back in the game. I hope that's what happens but only time will tell.

Basic Ollie's video showed a serious fuel issue with the Porsche - it uses a LOT more fuel and if that remains unchanged then the Porsche is already dead - even more dead than the BMW is already.
It's a great new build though. Loving the content - going to be an expensive season for a lot of people!

I was hoping for another sim to challenge iRacing ( monopolies are not good) instead they are getting even more dominant.

It's crazy to think that 15 years in, we are still getting updates like this in iRacing. We are indeed living in amazing times! 😁 Even more amazing when you thin that the foundation of iRacing goes all the way back to NASCAR Racing 2003. Let that sink in...
Ugh, after a year, I really do need to get a new wheel to replace my tried and true Logitech G25 that served me for so many years... I've made do with game pad, but of course I dare not go beyond test sessions with that. I dare not subject others to that injustice, lol.
I love this update. Some good new content and some great quality of life improvements to the sim.

Good update, the grass/dirt is the one for me, hopefully no more loosing sr over someone spinning from miles away.. spotter still not crewchief level 🙃

@@chevypower22350 It's a step in the right direction but devs are already working on fixing some serious problems - exploits that have already been found - like dipping tyres into sand at corners can massively increase your maximum cornering speed.
She mentioned the 3D grass. What sand updates are there?
Grass isn’t ice anymore and sand actually slows you down

Yeh unfortantly as a owner of a Trak racer rig yes there is a ton of flex in them seats so i changed mine out for the recliner and its so much more better

...just thought I'd expand a little. I usually does not comment on TH-cam videos or much on forums.
The video is great!. It goes through a lot of the new stuff on iRacing in a calm and relaxed, but yet excited way. The mention of GT7 might trigger some but hey, Simracing is different for different people. Lets just enjoy the hobby in a way that we feel comfortable with.
We have a plethora of games/sims, each with its own strength and weaknesses and we can all chose what fits us best. I've gone around, tried most of them and found that iRacing is great for me. Tonnes of tracks, cars, great MP. Mostly what makes it stick is that it "Just Works"
I had a single screen, just worked. I had triples, just worked. I bought a VR, just worked. Bought a butt-kicker, just worked. I wanted to try oval racing, it was available. I wanted to try different open wheel, available. I wanted to try different GT3, it was available, I wanted to try GT4, it was available. I wanted to try TCR, it was available.
I know the price is a divider but I understand that development works and servers cost money and so does Licensing.
And about the price, today I had a pizza and a soda for lunch. Me and my daughter went and had a drink (beer+soda) and then 2 burgers, a beer and a soda. Not a normal day but a somewhat normal weekend day. All in all it cost me less than season 4 subscription including the things I will buy for season four.
Love the acura, by far my favorite gtp car in iracing. Wanted to love the porsche, but at least on the fixed and fixed qualy setup it feels like a brick 🤣
i dont understand it, there is one new road track. we had a ferrari gt3, we had GTP's. We had Zandvort. The only things that are fully new are Kern County and Zandvort. its not a big update

The wheel not moving in the super formula car is weird.
That is down to Em's settings here. You can Have the wheel completely off, non rotating or fully animated. - Rene
It's a game setting. Personally I find a moving wheel very distracting alongside my own wheel rim. Generally I hide the in game wheel completely but this not practical for cars like the SF as the wheel displays important information not available in overlays.
6:35 Is it faster than an Indycar?
Probably track dependent, indycar will be faster on straights but super formula faster around corners
I hope we will get Ferrari 499p.

Thanks, good review, but boring same-again car selection. Why not something different like German Touring car: 3.0CS, Capri, or E30, Merc 190?
They really need to upgrade those ancient tyre scrubbing sounds 😬 Needs better and more unique sounds for different tyres. Graphics are looking old now

Iracing a bit of a rip off, ££££££££££££££££££££££ and at end of NOTHING UNLESS YOU PAY UP, oh and the point system is destructive, more so when noobs constantly blame others,,, IRACING IS BETTER THAN ACC, BUT NEITHER ARE WORTH THE MONEY OR HASSLE FROM IDIOTS
