@@davecammhave to be super careful with tyres early and drive the car with no slides or lockups and stress the tyre as little as possible or you get lava tyres, tyre model on this car especially in these conditions is very unforgiving, you almost have to sacrifice pace at the start to have tyres last the race with consistent pace but you did well

Hi Dave, great video I just wanted to take a minute to tell you I love the replays during the race I think it adds a lot and in the future video if you could touch on how you put an image of your steering wheel on your race lab telemetry that would be awesome
Thank you for the feedback mate. The steering wheel is just one of the default ones in racelabs you can choose from 👍

That’s been my goal lately. Trying to make as few mistakes as I can. I’m always off pace with the top drivers in top splits. But have been having some great clean fun races in the just outside the top 10 group.
Thank you mate. I find it super hard to tick off the laps in the cup car without a mistake.

Yes definitely the risk puts me off entering some types of races, eg lower class races. Just had 5 races in a row where someone else’s either daft move / rejoin or simple racing error basically wrote me off and my irating has tanked from the highest I’ve had to the lowest. Almost rage quit and certainly took a break for now, but no races are casual due to irating so it reduces the number of actual races I enter, restricting to the highest classes for hopefully better quality competitors and less rampant wrecking.

Kudos to all involved. Personally I cannot drive a Porsche for the life of me. They seem to understeer hugely under braking, oversteer on acceleration and I can never get a whole lap in before I find myself in an uncontrollable slide that ends with me careening backward into a wall.

I do like this track. The two right handers that are a bit off camber are such good corners. Huge risk/reward - impossible to do it the same way twice. I’ve got a little trick that seems to work for me and be quicker than everyone I’ve raced there so far.

Second: I have a question, maybe one of you (or maybe Dave himself) in here knows the answer: I have a payed account for Racelab but after the last update my overlays are blurry en have black boxes behind them. Super annoying and not usable! Anyone any idea?
You can adjust the opacity of the background in the settings for whichever element you're adjusting. Maybe give that a whirl?
Wow Dave thank you for answering. This is the first thing I tried but this isn’t the issue unfortunately. The ‘black boxes’ also appear when iRacing isn’t running and Racelab starts!
Definitely affects my race choices unfortunately, it shouldn’t but it does. I’d love to jump into a random race but I don’t as I know what I’m going to lose and how long it’ll take to build it back.
How do you get the AI spotter to say your name? Now that im thinking about it im not even sure it is the same voice at all.

Do you have your brakes LOCKED at 80% on pedals software or is it open and you brake specific to not lock up ? Like can you brake 100% on iRacing and lock up ? I don’t like it, takes away the fun and realism. I choose immersion above competition with never locking up
Yes I can brake to 100% and it would definitely lock up if I wasn't careful. I never use any software limiter in my pedals. It's completely linear and you'll see me approaching 100% in this video even in the cup car 👍

gotcha, seems like a huge difference for Jarad 8k to 3k, and a C rating - hopefully h'e not ruining other people's races on his smurf account because 'it doesn't matter to him'.
Dave i wish i could drive the Porsche like you do. I spent several hours driving it and I just cant get to grips with it. I became too fusterated
Hey Dave! Figured you would be the guy to ask, can you make a video on how to navigate iracing replays meaning how to use it and how to change camera angles and taking pictures to post them? I see people look at incidents and they move the camera around like it’s a drone but I cannot figure it out

There are a lot of racers that aren't considered with irating and are super fast that just jump in and do a race and get wrecked out. Don't overly protect irating. I dont understanding using 2 two accounts just to protect irating. Also its for practice for a lot. Doubt its a smurf account.
