For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to run across a country. So, we decided to try and run 48 miles (77km) across Wales in one day. Starting in Anchor, we would run an ultramarathon through Llanidloes, the source of the River Severn, Pumlumon Fawr, Nant-y-moch and end in Aberystwyth. This is a video about that adventure.
Thank you to everyone involved in this project.

This was a mad adventure, thank you if you've taken the time to give this video a watch, and if you enjoyed it, give it a like: it really helps the video out. Thank you.
Very ambitious, really well done. And that average pace across 77km through all that different terrain, simply incredible.
🧡
Da iwan chi....very well done in Welsh...I believe!!!
Diolch Gary
This is just fantastic. Anytime you’d like to run across my country I’ll be happy to help out. 🇦🇺
Come to Aus! We'd help out too
Love the comment and thank you
I remember doing my Duke of Edinburgh along the eastern border of Wales. Even there it's really empty. We barely saw anyone for 3 days.
Yup
Brilliant ultra run in tough conditions, that includes the weather. Congratulations to the Jog On Team 🏃♂️👍
Thank you
This is easily the best video about running across Wales I’ve seen. Fantastic work Harry and crew 💪🏼 great video
Thank you Mike, it’s appreciated and cheers for always supporting what I make.
@@thisisjogonThe quality of your content is extremely high (in my humble opinion) and sets the bar for other YT creators. All the best 😊
This video hit home hard for many reasons. A proud Welshman here and I recently signed up for my first ultra next year. This video was entertaining, beautifully filmed and as always inspirational . Well done jog on team what an outstanding achievement.
Thank you for your support Chris - best of luck with the ultra
Incredible achievement, guys! Interesting to see the source of the Severn, a river I run alongside most days in Worcester.
Quality capture and edit really took me along for the ride. I appreciate the enormous effort involved.
Congrats! - Mack
Thanks very much Mack, really appreciate you watching
The drone footage is always so beautiful. Well done on your run! Poor alex looked so broken.
Thanks to Matt for flying the drone, it brings the challenge to life so much more
So impressive! Well done guys! Harry, it never fails to amaze me how you can continue to present to camera so effortlessly during a run, especially a 77km run!
Cheers Mike, we were pretty dead for a few days after this
If i chose to run across a country i would go to Andorra. Great effort.
🇦🇩
Will watch after parkrun. Going for under 23 for first time in 4 years. Nervous!
22.43. Buzzing!
Brilliant - well done!
i live in aberystwyth and your a mad lad well done. i loved how you captured wales beauty. this really hit the heart
Many thanks Yory
Inspirational
Thanks Jake
would love a route of this. The bit you start at, the Kerry Ridgeway, is a great place to run/bike along, nicely isolated but with great views out west. And Hafren forest is one of the hidden gems of Wales, the entire UK really. Usually not that busy, but lovely trails through the forest, up to Plynlimon and the source of the severn and Avon rivers, and if you are lucky you can see ospreys over Llyn Clywedog. Its a really lovely place.
Couldn't agree more about Hafren forest and up to the source of the Severn. It was beautiful.
I agree, Wales is a beautiful country to explore by foot
I still can’t get over how much of an achievement this is Harry! My favourite run you have recorded. England is the next challenge!
It was a heck of a challenge. Thank you
More to come
H
What a legend
Cheers for supporting Jack
Well done chaps, what a great film, thank you. I was looking for inspiration as I’m coming back to running after a couple of years of enforced absence (due to injury, not prison!) and I found it here. Bless you, you have a new subscriber.
Awesome great to read, thank you and welcome 🙏
Great video as always! Nice and sort of surreal to see you pass through my beautiful home town of Llanidloes.
Ah, what a place, mid-Wales was absolutely extraordinary: I have plans to visit again
Thanks for watching this video
I used to know Llani (as they call it) well, as a friend of mine lived halfway between there and Newtown.
Congrats on the run, not something I'd be up for doing, any time soon. 🙂
Many thanks Toran
Good gravy you certainly gave yourself a mighty task. Well done!
Thanks for watching Lisa
I guess you wont be visiting me to run across Australia then? Epic filming of a lively part of the world. Well done.
Might be a touch far Al, appreciate you watching this one
A fantastic watch Harry. Great run and love the updates from StatManSteve! I shall now be measuring everything in 11ths !
Maybe if I'd done it in a sprint suit I wouldn't have had the chaffing
@@Alex-uj4zf I have no words 🙃
Great to know you watched Charlie
Amazing, awesome, fantastic, tremendous, just wow!
Thanks for the support Jenny 🧡
I don't. even run but I love your vids. What charisma and talent for film making!
Thank you 🙏
@@thisisjogon I found you through your Crib Goch/Striding Edge vids; I have an idea for content for you - why don't you set a three peaks challenge marker, running up and down for the Jog On community to beat..
Ive been waiting weeks for this vid!!!
Happy to have it out finally, it took many hours of work
I Love your videos!! I am a runner here in the US and am so inspired! You make me want to run!!!!

Just a reminder Guy, to never do this

Just kidding. Tremendous achievement. Great work.
Cheers Grant
Wow, that was some run Harry!
The challenges keep getting bigger
Well done 👏 👏👏
Many thanks Chris
Heroic effort. Well done.
You might have timed the tide better. You would have completed the run faster if it had been all the way in.
Always love a David Juson comment - I can only apologise David.
Hoping that you're well.
@@thisisjogon Thank you Harry. Actually, I finished 16 days of Coronavirus isolation on Tuesday. Slowly getting back into the run, but have had to scratch from the New Forest Marathon.
Mustn't grumble, I should be fit enough to do the 10k.
What an incredible achievement, well done guys.
Thank you, it was a heck of a run
Well done!
Thank you 🧡
What a brilliant video to capture an amazing achievement. Well done Harry! Superb! You've also managed to create a fabulous promotion for Wales running through such lovely countryside captured with some spectacular and stunning video. Just one minor complaint....in the intro it should say, "Steve Morgan, Father and JOG ON Legend, and maths genius"!
Next time Tom, next time
Lovely comments Tom - I do like “maths genius”! 🤣😂
Loved everything about this video. Well done boys! What an inspiration!!

Harry needs to take on the Comrades Ultramarathon in South Africa. 90km all in one go.
I suspect I will one day Matt, I spoke to Carla Molinaro on the JOG ON podcast about it, it’s legendary
Amazing video!

Many thanks Dean - thank you for watching
hell of a job guys, welcome to Wales, glad you enjoyed the hills :D
Thanks Jowen - the hills were really tough!
Congrats on an epic run and what a beautiful setting for it. I'm Canadian but my family originated in Wales some time back. Sadly, I've never been.
Hopefully one day you get back to visit - it is a beautiful country to explore.
Fantastic video, really enjoyable to watch from the safety of the horizontal position. Congratulations to you and your team on your achievements! Only natural to do a 100km race next right?
Maybe one day - thanks for the support Paul
Amazing work guys. So good to see this documented with all the highs and the lows! Like how you kept it real rather than just focusing on the positive bits. Was this run on strava?
Thanks Craig, it is indeed. On the JOG ON Strava
As a fan that studies at Aberystwyth, it's amazing to see you finished here! It's a really nice town :) There's also a parkrun here that's good for getting a PB since it's flat the entire way. Congratulations on doing that though! 77km is insane
I visited Aberystwyth once before many years ago, I will return one day, it made for a superb finishing point to an amazing adventure
Wow, amazing! Well done! Which country’s next? 😀
Possibly Scotland
Amazing work! Such beautiful views, a route I drive often and now really want to pass on foot or by bike because of this video. If you want to add another country to your list of countries to cross, consider Malta. It’s only about 27km end to end, but the terrain could be fun!
Thank you Leanne - hoping that you're well
Hope you all had a Wales of a time, not sure if that works, let me know. Stunning scenery, great team with you there too, amazing achievement.
It works well enough Becky, thanks for watching
