I had an issue and this was my solution. I had to turn on console with the junk card inserted. Then switch the settings to ROMs on sd card slot 1. Then follow the instructions in the video. Thank you

In the whole video you use back and forth on (MAC/R36S) the sd card that came with r36s (the cheap one) you flash it, add roms ect.. then on 3:08 you somehow use Samung sd card and put it in r36s.???

Can't you just erase the SD card to FAT32 and after that copy all the games directly from the backup you made when you got the console? I feel like previously creating the folder structure and after that having to copy the games into the folders one by one it's a bit a pain the ass having that much folders.

I purchased two new SD cards and uploaded the new ARKOS into the 32 GB card and transferred all the games into the 64 GB one that has been changed to FAT. I made sure to put card 2 for ROMs before I uploaded games. When I put the 64 card back in I still don't have my games :( I tried to follow the steps very carefully and could use some guidance, any idea what this might be?

I too tried to clone the stock SD card. That does not work. You have to format the new card in the way that is shown in the video and then copy the roms manually to the newly created folders.
Question: I just bought a R40S Pro and there wasn’t the 256gb memory card that was supposed to come with it, but it does have over 1,000 games, though I imagine the card would have provided me with the other 14,000 claimed. @@Blogoodf Yes Alex, the second SD card is working (Samsung 64GB Evo plus A1) It ran the same commands while installing 2nd SD card when I selected to switch to SD2 ROM everything worked fine. But not able to see emulators only a few.

i'm a kind of lost: the first step you erase oem SD with all the games? when you do a copy? after that you put SD on R36S and chose that option to use the SD2 but in my case show me other option cause my r36s already use de SD2.
@@Blogoodf I understood what happened to me: there is a situation where you put a new SD card and the system does not give the option of an SD2 card (to prepare as you said) in this situation we need to do the procedure of putting the new BIOS on the other card then it gives you the option of using SD2 and then creating the entire folder structure... my point was that I had already asked to use SD2 for the SD that came with the device. The recommended thing is to validate the gaming card first, and if everything is ok, install the new Arkos system and then carry out the procedure for the gaming card

You were supposed to copy your games on the original and card. Then reformat your new one so that you could copy the original files to the new sd card.

That's right. What is your question? Default SD card for testing and demonstration. Samsung SD card is my main SD card.

You have 3 options, store games on one of the two cards (first or second) or store games on both cards at the same time.

It seems to me that you do not understand why it is necessary to change the SD card to a branded one.
Can I use two SD to get rom? Because I know sd1 can still be really brought rom with Arkos.

Format the second SD card in FAT or EXFAT format and simply copy the folders with games to it.

Apparently you are doing something wrong or you have problems with ArkOS
tienes una opcion que pone leer las dos SD, le das y te saldran los juegos de la sd principal, me a pasado lo mismo, lo malo que si quito la segunda sd, ahora no carga el sistema

I advise you to use the second card for games, and the first one for ArkOS. So the first SD card will wear out less.

i'm a kind of lost: the first step you erase oem SD with all the games? when you do a copy? after that you put SD on R36S and chose that option to use the SD2 but in my case show me other option cause my r36s already use de SD2.
No need to do anything with oem SD cards. Buy new ones and do all the processes with them.
@@Blogoodf I understood what happened to me: there is a situation where you put a new SD card and the system does not give the option of an SD2 card (to prepare as you said) in this situation we need to do the procedure of putting the new BIOS on the other card then it gives you the option of using SD2 and then creating the entire folder structure... my point was that I had already asked to use SD2 for the SD that came with the device. The recommended thing is to validate the gaming card first, and if everything is ok, install the new Arkos system and then carry out the procedure for the gaming card

I don’t have the option to switch to second sd card for roms but when i check the roms are in the card an is the stock , by mistake I pressed read roms from 1st card and now im unable to turn back on second sd …. You were supposed to copy your games on the original and card. Then reformat your new one so that you could copy the original files to the new sd card.
Did the same, but honestly it’s just better to download the ones you like online because there’s so many games

Step 1:Check if the games list is starting with “._” (example: ._MarioBros).
Step 2:If so, these are temporary files created by a Mac and need to be deleted. In ArkOS, go to Options, scroll down to "Remove ._ Files," and run it.

Don’t use Sandisk micro SD cards for Ext 2 SD card slot - they don’t work. Only use Sumsung micro SD cards - they work fine

How do I do this with just 1 sd card, it worked great, I have the OS but no games. It’s a 128 sd card… I feel like it’ll be such a waste to use a 128 just for an 8gig OS..
Most likely, SD slot 1 does not support 128 GB cards. You need to buy 2 SD cards 👍
