I got the full soul catback and long tube street headers exhaust. The car is much faster now that it syncs up with the softronic tune, but the exhaust is way too quiet for my taste. I should’ve gone with the competition headers and saved some money. For $8000, I was hoping for a little more noise.

MidwestPhotowerks I've heard it before, it's sounds similar, just not as loud and less backfire. Although they clear out the majority of restriction. Headers are more of a performance aspect in my opinion, so if that's not a major desire VS sound, you'll still have a more engaging drive due to the exhaust note being less muffled. It sounds great yes, but you should've done a before/after Dyno test. I don't even care if there's no performance gain. As long as I'm not loosing any just to sound good

They have some kits out for Boxster's and Caymens. Not cheap by any means. Not worth it either unless you have a really nicely painted valve cover or other noticeable mods.
varunjolly the weight reduction will slightly help, there’s a nice low-mid power Boost. Low gear high rpms it’s real Snappy. A tune will really improve on that. Also if you have the .2, a tune will work even more wonders

I own the 3.4L S, the 2.9 Base will sound EVEN BETTER with this exhaust, ultimately I'd advise to go with whichever the better deal is at the time - both great choices.
Definitely going to go with the 3.4 if i can find one for a good deal. I don't think i could go to a car with that much less hp. Considering I've got a dual pulley s4 that makes around 440awhp, I'd have to go 3.4L. But anyways. That exhaust sounds nuts. And ill definitely be buying this one.
Good eye lmao the seating position in this video was just me chilling plus they moved it around when installing the exhaust and getting the car on lift. I ride super close to the wheel normally, straight arms w wrists at steering wheel is always my go to
For some reason all store bought headers have larger primaries resulting in decreased low down power.custom headers with standard primaries is the ultimate option but expensive.

Thanks Kareem, great question. You could skip the headers and just go for the axel back + tips and get a similar sound, it will still sound much better than stock. The full Competition Package deletes all catalytic converters from the car. The factory exhaust has catalytic converters inside, but they are secondary unmonitored catalysts so you won't throw a check engine light if you delete them with our exhaust. At that point it would come down to visual inspection - and it really does depend on the shop.
I wish we could give you a definite answer, but like we said it is not that simple. You won't get a check engine light, your car will pass a sniff test (with stock headers), you will pass readiness monitors when the inspector plugs your car in, but the shop could fail you on a visual inspection due to removing the factory exhaust. We recommend contacting your local emissions station / performance shop and asking about their experience in your area.

Any CEL warnings deleting the cats?
Nope! Wasn't sure at first because of the steering wheel causing a CEL from steering angle sensor, now that that's off we are CEL free

The full Competition Package deletes all catalytic converters from the car. The factory exhaust has catalytic converters inside, but they are secondary unmonitored catalysts so you won't throw a check engine light if you delete them with our exhaust. At that point it would come down to visual inspection - and it really does depend on the shop.
sorry please explain now in layman's term. Lol If I were to get the exhaust will I be able to pass state inspection in Texas?
I wish we could give you a definite answer, but like we said it is not that simple. You won't get a check engine light, your car will pass a sniff test (with stock headers), you will pass readiness monitors when the inspector plugs your car in, but the shop could fail you on a visual inspection due to removing the factory exhaust. We recommend contacting your local emissions station / performance shop and asking about their experience in your area.
dang...:( ive never done this type of mod but i been deciding between borla and this one if i can pass the inspection is all i need to confirm.
