Apart from the Soul exhaust, which sounds like da real deal. That white base with the Martini racing stripe is not only good for extra 1-2mph :-) It looks soooo dope! congrats to the owner!
Hi Aaron - wonderful job on the installation and thanks for doing these videos. They are a big help when working on my "04 Boxster S. A question on Becker's Cayman S - since installing the exhaust system, does the car accumulate yellow/brown residue on the bumper and license plate?
@@HelpMeDIY did you or are you going to do anything to stop it from throwing the CEL? I read ppl out in some O2 sensor spacer to fool the sensor. Not sure which one works well for 987.1
Are you supposed to use RTV/gasket make when you actually have a gasket? By the way, you are exceptionally lucky to have not snapped off any of the notorious header bolts. I snapped 3 on the passenger side of the 986. Even though they snapped flush or below, I was able to use the excellent Stomski Racing jig to drill and extract them. Then solve your future problems by using stainless M8 STUDS and copper nuts instead of bolts.
Car sounds absolutely amazing! Nice work on the installation overview as well!
Thanks! I think so too ❤️
That sound made me smile WIDE !
+Vincent Meyers same here! 😁😎
Whooohooooo! There is nothing like the sound of natural aspiration!
+Bob Fognozzle vroom vroom!
Had my headers and exhaust installed by Soul at their headquarters in Willow Grove!
+Edwin Gier nice! I’m assuming you love them too?

+ED Justice yeah I agree! I HATE white cars because they are so boring, but that totally makes up for it 😁
Love this video (watched a bunch of times!) Considering going Soul for my 987.1S. Did you ever record a follow up driving impression video?
+@ADunk640 thanks! Don’t think I ever did but I LOVE it! Gets all sorts of compliments too 🍻
@@HelpMeDIY awesome! I currently have a catted Fabspeed Maxiflow and it’s nice but not even close to the raspy soul sound

+Kurt Moore thanks! No, I’ve never experienced that
It sounds awesome! I guess it throws some O2 sensor error (P2196?) with the Cat removed?
+Vincent C. Yes that’s correct

@@vincentc.2192 we are going to flash the ECU next week. Stay tuned!

+Adam Miller SOUL said to. Seemed to work well.
I know! I didn’t have much of a backup plan in case that happened. Great idea on the studs!
Sounds nice
+Peanut Man thanks 🍻
Damn, wish I had the budget for a Soul exhaust!
+Julian Kenny I wish I had the budget for another one for my Boxster 😂
Going the extra mile for the install, should have put all new O2 sensors on!
+Brian Sturgill might be a good idea, but his still work 🤷♂️
How's the achilles?
+Cash Dollar it’s healing up, thanks! The goal is to be able to use the clutch and drive this week 😎
Where did you source that kit?
Directly from SOUL Performance
Didn’t this car have catalytic converters??
+Mark Magnusson it DID, yes. Not anymore 😉
Nice install. Sad to see it catless. SMH!
+Neil Chirico thanks!
