That's a pretty special bike u have over there I love the sound of that engine , pretty cool video I miss owning a bike . I love you rode it in the end and u did a whillie boooop booop 🤙😎
Hey Austin good video I just purchased my my daughter and 08 CRF250 and I believe it's having that same starting problem the valves are a little on the rough side, it only started on a pull start that I know that's bad. I've done other valves jobs on 4-stroke so it should be pretty easy anyways I hit the Subscribe button thanks for your video. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos🇺🇸🇺🇸
Need advice I have an 08 crf 250r it's hard to start when I checked the clearance the intake side is fine but exhaust side is tight and I noticed that the shims sit lower than the retainers on the intake side and exhaust. Intake shims are 1.70 and exhaust is 2.20
Hey Austin, whats the machine shop you took your head to for the work, im thinking about doing valves in mine and probably need a shop to cut the seats, so pretty much the same thing you did. And how much did it cost to have the machine shop do the work. Thanks.
This is called been there, done that before. I am watching this thinking there is no way I would no what to look for and would never get this thing put back together... good on u bc you know what u are doing and can borrow tools.
I have a 06 crf250. The cam chain is Tight up and down it doesn’t have any slack but it wiggles back and forth on top of the sprocket. The sprocket it’s self is tight but the chain seems to be wiggling on top of the sprocket making a ticking noise at high rpm. Anyone know the problem?
Watching this video Went into my workshop I forgot I’ve got a CR500 air cooled engine ! Why? not really sure, maybe I need the bike to fit the engine in!!
ya that honda is the exact same thing that i can tell except the yamaha has double over head cam. Even the trasmission from what i could tell looks the exact same. to a t.I got an older yamaha 2004 450 the frame is steel so its probably just a little easier to work on but basically everything is the same.
Love your channel. Check out 'Fab Rats' as well, his Tacoma is pretty sick. He's also connected to 'Matt's Off Road Recovery'. Like minded channels helping each other out is the way to go!

It was well worth the time watching your video. Quick and efficient. What state do you live in? Curious of what mountains you ride in?

At the beginning of the video you put the shim to far in your caliper. That could really screw up your measurements!
