Nice video. Sorry about your Si's fate. Tip: if anyone does this mod and the boot rattles on the shifter (mine did), use black electrical tape and wrap the shifter where the boot ring meets the shifter. It works great!
Very helpful video! Thanks for the upload! I purchased the same Skunk2 shift knob on my Integra, but I replaced my 2000 Si knob with the original leather one from the dealer. Can't beat the feel of it and the red stiching on the knob. I was wondering would you ever consider selling your Si? Looks like you have good taste and I bet it's clean!
Yoiu changed the shift boot but it still doesn't connect nicely together with the knob like the stock one. Is this how all aftermarket knob and boot setups are? They never connect?

Nothing like the look and feeling of the original shift knob.
nice nice.. i love your si.. i just upgraded my shift knob to a s2k one. i drive a '13 6mt accord sport.
Wow, I have the EXACT same shift knob and shift boot in my 1998 EX Coupe.
The stock shift knob now sells for about $180.00. I would love to find one.
Wow!
I can't find the plain black shift boot on ebay for 96-2000... They all have colored stitches...
Looks very nice, I prefer naked with no shift boot though.
do u still have to oem shift knob
How long have you had your SI? Original owner? Reliability? Gas mileage? Thanks..
Where could i get those floor mats? My stock ones are to light and move all over the show
Yeah, that's not true. Under the shift knob is just the shifter going into another rubber boot affixed to the metal floor of the car.
Modding bug suddenly bit you huh?..Lights, shifter, exhaust. Nice little upgrades.
Would be cool if you could do a video sometime reviewing your civic si in it's entirety as a car
how did you get the old one off?
I could do that but then there would be a big empty space there and it would look odd and in a state of disrepair or something.
I was under the impression that under the boot is a precision cut metal grid-type block that shows your gears and whatnot, but I'd probably be wrong.
Dope hey I have 2013 civic lx . By any chance do you know if it's a 10x1.25 or 10x1.50??

It certainly was, but has since been totaled by a hit and run drunk driver...

I'm not sure. I no longer have this car.
Can you please send me the link to this shift boot
What shift boot is that
Where did you purchase the boot for the car? I'm looking for a boot with Red stitching
Ebay. The one with Red stitching is actually more popular since that is the 'Type R' look.
Ah, I gotcha. Thanks for the info, going to do this for sure. Finally got my 96 civic running again and doing some fixing up on it. =D
Nice color knob...
send link shift boot plss, thanks!
Is that a dual bend shifter? Or single?
This is just the stock shifter.

Just search eBay. That's what I did.
