My mother used to tell that when she had watched it with her friends and family in the theater everyone cried even after coming home remembering that she danced so happily and excitedly at her marriage and she became widow on the very first day of her marriage... They wanted to dance on this song during marriages but couldn't as they would start crying thinking about what happened with her even though it was just a movie.... But people were so attached.... You should watch this movie....

In this song, she is singing about how she's going to go away (to her marital home) - Rishi plays a childhood friend and she is sort of teasing him about how there won't be a need for him to come here anymore as she won't be there...it's very innocent, playful and slightly childish but you can see it hurts him. The older lady is her mother and in that verse she talks about how her mother will be left with just memories of her childhood (and so on). Definitely worth a watch 🙂

The film was released on 31 July 1982. Padmini was born on 1 November 1965. So, she was still three months short of her 17th birthday after filming and editing had been completed. She had barely turned 16 when filming took place. Her performance throughout the movie was captivating. She was the youngest to have won both best supporting actress (Insaaf ka Tarazu) and best actress (Prem Rog). She was often described as the niece of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle but I think that we would call her a second cousin. She was also a fine singer and performed the soundtrack songs in several of her own films. My favourite film of hers is Who 7 Din where she was paired with, newcomer, Anil Kapoor and top actor, Nazeeruddin Shah.

Her treatment and Rishi's relationship with her is what then becomes the story of the film. Beautifully acted. you must check out the song in the tulip farms Bhanware ne Khilaya Phool from this film. beautifully shot song.
When her mom comes from downstairs and she approaches her so emotional .. the lyrics is so emotional made me cry 💕 . I watched it long time ago I remember that the her wedding is going on .. Rishi kapoor loves her coz he doesn't have the social standing to declare his love .
I don't think any married woman can listen to this song without feeling emotional... especially women of the sub-continent some 20years back...when marriages were mostly arranged and girls married quite young

India works their daily life on the same calendar as you do. Christmas is a huge thing for Christians in India. It is only the Hindu, Jai, Sikh, and Buddhist festivals which follow a different calendar. (A bit like easter, you know!!)
