I had no idea Love On Top was his song for years and years and only found out recently. He actually knows me, wtf. That’s insight. Wow.
This man broke through in an industry that doesn't let people who don't fit the mold break through.
Undeniable talent.
His story is so inspiring. Makes me not want to give up on songwriting!
SAME❤
Keep going! 🙏🏽
If your older find some young people to get your music to, Because they are looking for young talent
Do it!!
Terius Nash's pen is UNDEFEATED! I remember falling in love with his music when I was younger and then discovering he was behind so many hits! Been a fan ever since. Keep the interviews coming Noah!
Check out his album Terius Nash: 1977. It’s one of the dopest RnB albums of all time.
My fav
I still remember going on break at a warehouse job and falling asleep in the car, but woke up because I heard Shawty is a 10 on the radio and was like what is this - this different. I always check for The Dream from that night on.
I love the fact that he’s confident but nowhere near arrogant
He’s certainly shown and proven that he is who he is
THE DREAM AND. NEYO ARE THE. GOATS OF THEIR GENERATION
💯
@Music Sauna Mixing Board 2 💨 I’m talking songwriting
Just when I thought y’all couldn’t get anyone more prolific….. You go and do this.
I’m really thankful to be born in the age of The Dream. He’s a big deal.
I live for interviews with songwriters and producers. The-Dream has so much more that could be discussed. I love to hear him talk about Bey and Rih, but I don’t see enough talk about his work with Mariah, Jay-Z, Mary J and Kanye.
…and I want to understand why he changed his name.
You mean that new long name with Diamanté in it?
@@wolfsisterhowls Yes. I didn’t start seeing that name until this year.
@@virtuoso8642 same. It's a little weird but I'm sure he'll get into it at some point
He did one of B2K big records too
I was making a record at Germano Studios in New York with a new artist. Every few days this man would pull up in a Maybach and would come running out of the car up the stairs and into the studio. It seemed like within minutes he’d be making a beat and creating a song. It was just an MPC and two Roland Fantoms sitting there. He would make a beat and then immediately start playing keyboards, then he would fly into the studio and start spit balling hooks, stacking vocals and making up verses. I was in the next room wondering what the hell is this guy doing?!?! and then he would do it again and again and again. he was a legend at Germano, he probably still is. Germano is a studio that caters to the royalty of the music industry, and among them, this guy was a creative king.
I would ask the assistant engineers who he was, how he worked, I wanted to know everything. reluctant to give me information, I was just able to pick up bits and pieces here and there, but this guys legend was formed in my head.
An absolutely unrelenting work ethic, coupled with passion, enthusiasm, and an almost unlimited source of creativity. It doesn’t surprise me at all to see him nominated alongside Beyoncé and many of the greats in the industry in 2022. he’s a force of nature, a force of inspiration, of creativity, and of course an incredible inspiration for going after what it is you want with reckless abandon.
This is an amazing interview, and long overdue! thank you idea generation and thank you The-Dream!!! ⭐️🙏⭐️🙏
As a artist and writer who looks up to Dream this is his greatest interview. Definitely inspired me even more. BRB going to the studio
My favorite overall artist hands down. Most versatile.
One of the illest songwriters in the game alongside Ne-Yo, Eric Bellinger, Rico Love and Johnta Austin
He’s is such a musical genius…. His pen game is timeless!!!!! “ FANCY “ is my favorite Dream record … that song is just so luxurious ❤
u mean song :) ?
Radio Kilaaaaa…….
You're goated for getting Dream on (and for everyone else you've already interviewed)!
This man is single handily giving us the best interviews of industry moguls! These are truly inspiring for a creative coming up. I want to create a custom piece of apparel or something as tribute to what you’re doing here with idea generation🙏
hes literally the best alongside Jermaine Dupri something in the ATL water 🔥🤞🏾🤲🏾
"that has NEEEEEVER happened" lol Dream said i been THAT guy! lol too funny and very accurate! A legend can never not be hot.
Man this is long overdue! The Dream became one of the greatest in such a short period of time!!!
I love your girl been in my head all week and then this show up. Dream had some bangersss in the 2000s
Man I wish there was more on The Dream
Dream is the goat hands down!!! 🔥🤦🏽♂️🔥💯
To be around people to hear the most consistent thought is a hit. . . Need to be around more people
@25:13 thank you for the background on “Thique” ever since I saw the track list for “Renaissance” I knew it was going to be my favorite track on the album just based on the title alone. It’s honestly one of my favorite Beyoncé songs across all of her albums.
We Virgos just be on another level.
I wouldn't go that far
I got done wrong bad by a Virgo 😢
The Legend! Manifesting a an opportunity to work with him! Love this episode. So INSPIRING!!!
There’s never been songwriter of the year at the Grammys?? A freaking crime.
They finally have songwriter of the year for 2023 grammy awards next year and The-Dream is nominated 😊
Fire interview. You guys did a great job.
Let's go! So excited to hear this one! 🤘🏾
Incredible interview Love The Dream
Another greatly inspiring and insightful interview. Thanks for this!
thanks for watching!
I will always support this man! He is such an inspiration. He moves so swiftly in a way that he will be remembered forever!
wow men he is my idol and inspiration, my favorite song is fast car.. what a masterpiece. great composer
I loveeeeeeeeee that instrumental at the end it’s so soothing
Love these
Noah is out here doing God's Work with this interviews
27:38 is fascinating because I remember the HitBoy interview this very topic coming up and HitBoy regretting that he didn't have a tag at the beginning of the songs he produced - which would become some of the most seminal in hiphop, and tbh music, history - N****s in Paris, Trophies, etc. Brilliant interviews man, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels / muse outlets
His mother must have been an incredible and beautiful woman. I can't even imagine the loss he must have felt losing her. And his grandpa.. losing this beautiful daughter and having to pull it together for her and her son
GREAT interview. I’m going to be the biggest artist in the world. Can’t wait to work with you bro
Great interview...👍🏿
My favorite artist, cant wait to work with him

Falsetto is a such a masterpiece that hook damn
The King of R&B

He needs his flowers now!! But it is crazy that a man wrote single ladies. They know what we want 😂
Also he's a Virgo. Those people are built different. They got a different kind of empathy. 👑

RADIO KILLA KILLA KILLA
Oh no, BAD VIBES BYE-BYE 🇯🇲🇯🇲🕯🕯🕯
Very talented and very sexy!
A lot said nothing revealed
A lot heard, nothing understood.
What sort of stupid question was asking that The Dream wasnt 'hot'?! Did he do his research? Thats not how music or the industry works... a song can go off anytime or it might not be
I used to freaking love The Dream..though he is only good for temporary pop candy. Nothing that really lasts.
False
Huh
🔥 🔥
Word to the Wise practice is key to win in life
the sad part is that you only worth $65million all these artist youn wrote for are billionaires crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
