- Ready or Not: Home Invasion is set in the turbulent aftermath of a devastating Category 5 hurricane. The Los Sueños Police Department is dispatched to tackle three intense home invasion missions. Along with the DLC release, we're rolling out a game patch, and adding three new weapons to the base game at no additional cost. Ready or Not: Home Invasion is available now: store.steampow...
Los Sueños - STATE OF EMERGENCY: Los Sueños Police Department Chief Galo Álvarez issues an emergency broadcast regarding the City of Los Sueños response to Hurricane Antonio. Massive property and environmental damage from the record-breaking Category 5 Hurricane Antonio with windspeeds and rainfall reported to affect most areas of the county. Patrol units on high alert with stationed checkpoints. Fire Rescue Medical Triage Centers erected on perimeters of major hospitals where possible. Temporary homeless shelters set outside severely damaged areas and into the Sierra del Sueños mountains. Home invasion occurrences widespread and met with disaster response by LSPD SWAT.
Areas of confirmed looting and civil unrest:
• GREENSIDE― Catastrophic storm damage. A large portion of homeless people are seeking shelter due to unsafe conditions on the streets. Keep doors and windows barricaded. Exercise extreme caution when interacting with unknown people on properties.
• 213 PARK- Major storm damage. Evidence of gang related activity proliferating, possibility for gang related violence unusually high. Avoid any display of gang-related affiliation and beware of groups of individuals in the street. Remain indoors and away from windows or other fragile surfaces.
• REDWOOD― Limited storm damage. Organized movement of possible looters identified in region. Keep gates or any fencing closed and locked with valuables secured. Keep power generators in secure but well-ventilated areas. Activate any anti-theft measures. Maintain any private security detail on elevated alert. Monitor and submit evidence of suspicious activity to police.
Several recent shipments of FN 509 pistols, MP17s and DDM4 PDWs are now being outfitted to tactical officers to accommodate the heightened security necessary for disaster response within the zone’s close quarters, unpredictable environments.
Story of this game is getting even more serious and dark I love it lol

@nathanlesgourgues2692 I know but to take an already dark setting and still go full steam ahead is amazing to see the last time this happened it was back when COD actually pushed the envelope with stuff like black ops 1 and world at war it was super dark but that's when the franchise was at it's best it wasn't trying to glorify much of anything it was to show the true terror and grit of all the events this reminds me of that and I love every second of it

you must have stopped playing the game because they neutered the AI so hard already that I can solo run missions without flashing rooms or proper breaching

@@ArmchairTroopno it is not. arma 3 ai may be irregular and janky but as a squad or a unit they’re actually very smart in their maneuvers, but the issue being it takes them a sec to process what to do and they move in a weird way. arma ai has less insta-beaming than ready or not

I absolutely love this game with all my heart, and will continue to play it with or without the update, so please take all my criticism as constructive and not insulting as I do not mean to insult this game. But for the love of god, add these mods into the vanilla game:
Tappy, Gunfighter, Brighter Loadout Menu, In-Game Menu, and More Brighter Chemlights. These are mods that inarguably improve the QOL for players at all levels, and they should simply be a part of the game. PLEASE!!!

Aside from the tactics and gunplay, my absolute favourite thing about Ready or Not is the story the devs have weaved through all the maps. They didn't have to do it! But they did and the game delivers a richer experience because of it.
As someone who was held at gunpoint in their home for over 5 hours as a kid, im sure this mission will be memorable to play

I just wish that we get some believable scenarios, not one SWAT team against 10km x 10km map full on suspects
It's fine if the teams are small for more appropriate smaller maps, like the gas station. But maps like the one with the veterans and the Mexican border, those are the ones where you need a platoon of SWAT. But the devs don't get that.
That's the main thing that bothers me about this game, some missions take fucking forever because you need like 3-5 seperate squads for the scenario lmao
Yeah because Lethal Obsession/Ridgeline is so fun when you beat it in less than 2 minutes.... Sorry, the game isnt built for small maps, it wouldnt be fun. Some people's shitty computers would take longer to load the map than you would spend actually playing it.

It hasn’t been fixed for a while. The bots will still track you for a few seconds after losing line of sight. Go play Ides of March or Mindjot if you don’t believe me

I hope this update actually fixes the bugs and/or makes the game run well
You can notice that this trailer didn't got through QA by several sections where there's clearly low FPS (hinting they still haven't optimized the game) and some NPC animations, mainly the arresting part, is also lagging. So, new maps/missions, new weapons, new skins, new characters... No new gameplay features, no bigger SWAT teams than just 5... Yeah, Void is same as usual.
I still have tons of fun in game. You aren't wrong though.
Yes, there's new gameplay features. If you look at the trailer, you can clearly see at least a few new features. Arresting part has ALWAYS been weird in multiplayer.

Does this game have AI interactions with the environment yet? Loading bags with cash, going for a piss etc.. I haven't played in a while but the AI mostly would just stand in random rooms or patrol a little bit. Be awesome if there were random scripted events/scenarios the AI could complete would bump up the immersion.
So many cool moments if the AI did things like just chilling out following the news on the sofa having a beer while you enter quietly. Goons herding some hostages into a room, on the phone to police or their bosses, arguing amongst themselves about money or drugs.
They promised immersive ai idle actions but I also haven't seen any, they said a bug caused them to do nothing but I think they just don't exist or you never see it happening so it doesn't matter
I have seen the ai do idle actions, it's definitely there. It's very visible in maps like the 4U Gas Station where the ai steals money.
As great as this looks this game still feels incomplete, why do you have a dlc for this game AFTER charging me 50$ for the base game? Suspects seem to just stand there and wait for you to shoot rather then doing what they would in a real situation (hiding in closets, trying to set up a proper ambush), they rarely hold hostages or try to trick the player by fake surrendering. It feels less like a police shooter and more like a warzone where half of the people there are off limits

yeah i agree 100%, i dont know how people can call the game immersive when the npc behaviour is so ridiculous. every single person is maniac with a deathwish, its not believable at all, and even the missions when you should be taking the enemies by surprise, they are all just standing around with guns waiting for you. imagine the crack house mission when you open the door and they are actually shocked, some reach for guns, some people freak out and you have to work out whats going on in the chaos. Not to mention almost every mission has you going againsts cartels, supervillain pedos, terrorists etc, instead of actual believable scenarios
They don't care about things like this. This isn't me trying to defend them at all - I definitely regret my decision to purchase the supporter pack.
They simply don't care and you'll never get a response from them, they don't address the issues either by verbally acknowledging or delivering patches. Ready or Not is an ambitious project that was taken on by a development team that lacked direction for a long time. Now they're busy focusing on their revenue streams while the game is still chock-blocked with bugs from day 1.

Tips and suggestions, add a mode where the criminals are real players and the swat are also real players, like that raidbox six style, but in this game it would be more realistic and incredible, more of a pvp mode, where you face 1vs1. With a partner. for quick rounds.

1.0 release was a mistake, and because it caused backlash, communication with devs became incredibly opaque.
The game is plagued with issues that have been present since more than a year prior to release.
Bugs we supporters had imagined would be rectified prior to the game having the "1.0" finished label slapped on it.
I'm not going to tell you how to spend your money, but as a supporter that feels cheated - I would take that money back if I could.
The studio I gave that supporter pledge to was one that hadn't released their game unfinished for the holiday season release window under the guise of a finished product.
Unless there are some serious fixes to the game included in this update, it will continue to be a shell of what it is trying to be.

@@harveyknguyen they could add buffs and debuffs. Make you aim slower if your gun is more front heavy with the extra accessories or something in that regard. There's plenty ways to balance it out without forcing you to use them exclusively because reality is, you wouldn't and you shouldn't.
I don't see any drastic gameplay change or improvement in this trailer, so... we'll just gonna get map DLCs from now on? No gameplay update anymore? Could really use some on AIs or how the cover system works. I liked the one in RS Vegas 2 btw, how you can stack any wall or door and interact. Would be cool if it is implemented as the same but only in 1st person.
I hope it runs alright using ue5... It ran great until 1.0 came out. I'm cautiously optimistic.
Edit: Update released. The game currently runs worse than it ever has before and I don't think I'll be able to record content on it anymore.

Where are the features people are asking for? Ability to run a light and laser device, not pick one of the two. Toggleable magnified optics, not just point shoot/passive aim with a stuck magnification...
But hey, random gen license plates and a map we have to pay for, especially those of us that bought the supporter edition, is definitely a step in the right direction...
Please come with some performance improvements. I love the game but the constant plummets in FPS to 30-40 from 100+ make it difficult to play.

My guess is that it would be boring for a game like this where realism is implied. Payday and Rainbow Six do their job well in that term
No we dont need PVP plenty of other PVP games out there play those
