Honestly seeing Dael on the thumbnail made me lose my sh*t. I was never expecting to see her alongside these people but I couldn't be happier! She absolutely deserves to be recognised and appreciated on this and I look forward to seeing more of her in similar things in the future!
It was good of Jeremy to keep his mouth shut when Gabe used a reckless attack on a ranged attack. All of us DMs should take a page from him while playing at other's tables.
And for him to keep his mouth shut when Reckless applied to the second attack of that turn. But hey, we've all been cool to players to showcase them in their hour of triumph. Right???
@@MddnickReckless applies to all melee Strength attacks that turn, you just have to decide during your first attack. But it shouldn't have applied to either thrown attack regardless.
A rousing adventure with copious quantities of fun and shenanigans. Also dinos, direwolves, giants, castles, acorn birthmarks, runes, Professor Antoine LeClerc, and squirrels. What's not to love? (I was lucky enough to sit in on most of this live via Twitch at Gen Con, and it's eminently satisfying now to see it all straight through beginning to end finally. You guys do rock the caz, all of ya.)

I wouldn't have found this recording if he hadn't mentioned BLeeM in his recounting of Gen Con 2023. I came to this video expecting Brennan, but am staying because of Erika. Always a joy to see those two play together!
I love that that had a table and miniature sponsor and did it all theater of the mind, and they had a camera on the dice box by they were mostly using dice that utterly failed to show up on camera.
I’m gonna wait for the reprint with ai generated imagery removed if that is coming for Bigby. Honest to god if you’re gonna raise prices for the book you can at least make sure that the stuff in it was made by people
I'm also on the reprint train. Luckily there's plenty of ways to access the content until that day comes without having to pay WotC's exorbitant prices.
@@groble Not likely. Algorithmic image generation was not advanced enough at the time that the art direction for that book was happening to have been put into it. If there was any non-human imagery in it, it was overshadowed by other ongoing controversies re: the OGL.

If your party is one person with main character syndrome and a bunch of people who love playing supports this is okay but, I'm reasonable sure that friend group is toxic. I do think I just stumbled upon the right use of these. Single player D&D.

Surely there will be others fighting as well. They can deal damage too. Just don't let it kill the monster. Keep going. I'm always struck by how people post different places "My bbeg didn't even last through one round, they just piled on all the damage." Just don't let it die. If you had it set at 200hp (or whatever) just throw that number out and keep going until epic stuff happens. It doesn't have anything to do with a single player or character. You change numbers based on how many players you have, right? I play with 6-8 routinely. There's no way I can run a Beholder (as an example) at only 180 hp. It would be destroyed by a group of 8. How do you figure out how to place it correctly? I don't know, double it? Set a number at 300 or 350, and see if it feels right. If they get to 3 turns, or maybe 4, and they're getting close to that number, keep it. If they blow right past it on turn 2 but it should be a harder fight, just increase it again.

I miss the time of Force Grey, both the players and Mercer or Perkins directing, some games with a much higher quality. No intent to offend anyone in this game.
Like going into this as a fan of 3 or 4 of the cast, and knowing its constrained by the time slot of a convention panel... its OK. Its not amazing. But it can't be said to have killed the medium, that seems crazy.
