Not sure if you’ve heard it in game or not, but there’s some funny voicelines if you’ve got Wyll, Laezel and Shadowheart in your team together when you’re wandering around. Spoilers: Basically Wyll is flirting with Laezel, who then shoots him down in a very Laezel way, so then he tries his luck with Shadowheart, who says to him something like “maybe try your luck on someone who didn’t just hear you flirting with Laezel” 😂

What's the bet that Astarion and Vincent weren't originally planned to know each other, but since Neil decided he was fond of Vincent and wanted to get sentimental about the ring he wore, and the DM decided to yes-and him and play it up, making up that entire epilogue on the spot
I don't know whether Astarion knowing Vincent was planned or not, but if it wasn't, Neil asking if he recognizes the head in question definitely started the DM down that road, and Astarion deciding he was fond of Vincent sealed the deal.
Thanks for bringing that up. For days now I've been wondering if this was made up on the spot or if I was just a really bad fangboy who missed something obvious.

It's so hilariously awesome that so many of the VA's have gone so all-in on the D&D, even though some were completely unfamiliar. And you can tell it's not just for publicity, they're also having fun.
Also it’s a pun of what we do in the shadows about a group of vampiric friends, where most of the time they are pretty drunk and get into trouble that feels like the trouble in this one-shot
I just can't get enough of this. Not just because they're such a fun bunch and the BG3 cast, but because they're new players, and new players always come up with the most wonderful/cursed ideas during DnD 😂 They're all being so patient and nice to each other too, DM included! Great fun 😂
Agree with the overall sentiment, but Sam and Neil aren't new players. Sam has talked about playing 5e online, and Neil is a forever DM who started with AD&D, iirc

I love playing with new players, and sometimes even kids, they always surprise you. My friend is DMing for his children and one is playing a druid who befriends a Kobald, he just stays shape shifted into a lizard and tells the Kobald what he thinks it should do. But when a fight breaks out or someone threatens the Kobald he shape shifted into his half-orc and fights. Like...so unique and cool.
God... when the whole final scene happened, literally everyone around where I was sitting had tears in their eyes. I love how these One-Shots have genuinely added a surprising amount of development to these characters.

Wyll was accidentally introduced as a Tiefling when he is technically a devil. For the purposes of the game we were using Tieflings' stats. An edit was made.
@@DNDWizards Hm... technically Wyll is still human. Mizora's curse gave him devil horns and some other cosmetic alterations, but not devil powers. He's definitely not a "fiend" (which would be an Outsider in D&D terms, a being from the Lower Planes) after the curse, at least I don't remember his stats radically changing in-game.
@@TF2CrunchyFrogAs far as I remember, Wyll's stats don't change in game, and in fact, his exact punishment is included in appendix A of the adventure Baldur's Gate Escape From Avernus (which is essentially a prequel to BG3) and it doesn't confer any mechanical changes beyond registering as a fiend in detect good and evil

Do it. I used to speak fast when DMing because I was so excited to get the story out but slowing down allows the players to take everything in & better visualize things so they can contribute & play their parts We had far more improvisation going on that I felt really enhanced the experience for everyone & made for a better game & story
This is so much fun to watch! Loving Devora's outfit! A bit sad at the end of the story cuz Astarion managed to make a perfect plan to cure his friends from temporary vampirism while he himself could not be cured.

@@rosenrot234 Astarions whole thing is he wants to feel safe and free, and so he thinks that by having more power (aka becoming ascendant) he will “be safe and free” finally. Only it doesn’t really work like that, and even when he becomes ascendant he still doesn’t truly feel safe or free, he will always still be trying to twist others to doing what he wants, trying to gain more powers, more followers, etc. so that he can feel “safe and free”. Also all of his worse traits become amplified as ascendant, so instead of healing his trauma, he basically becomes the new Cazador (just as Cazador became like his master). If you romance Astarion he gets to finally feel at least part of what he truly wants (safe), even if he cannot have freedom (cannot walk in the sun). However he does come to terms with living in the dark again, and he seems to enjoy the freedom that darkness can bring (to not have all your actions seen), and he also seems to enjoy living in the Underdark leading all the spawn (especially if he is with his partner). Also according to D&D lore, vampirism can be “cured” using a scroll of true resurrection as long as they haven’t been a vampire for more than (I think it was) 100 years. However Astarion had been a vampire for over 200, so there is no cure for his vampirism (but the newer vampires - like the Gur children - could be “cured” if they could get a true res scroll for each of them).
@@rosenrot234 why not? Astarion keeps talking with great negativity towards vampires. He hates the blood hunger, losing self control and monstrous nature. However given he cannot be cured under the circumstance, being a vampire ascendant allows him to live like a mortal, almost “alive”, while having all the vampire power. It’s kind of like the evil way of curing his vampirism. Actually I think it’s the point of his story, that he’s still able to choose to remain a vampire spawn although ascending could kind of cure him. In fact it’s the same for Cazador too. If you investigate further you will find even Cazador doesn’t want to be a vampire. Escaping the eternal curse is often the theme of vampire stories.

I really cant downplay how much Larian Studios put people onto DnD. I played DnD online when it first came out as a kid, and i just didnt have the money to pay it but holy moly is BG3 worth all the money and more. Now, i can enjoy amazing roleplay as an adult and not feel alone in it 😂
I find it infinitely funny that the two party members that arguably get along the worst in the game are the two passing the braincell between eachother and being the most compassionate towards eachother
My favorite part has to be Drunk Lae'zel randomly going "I love you all!" while Astarion is freaking out about something being horribly awry (moment starts at 26:29). That got way less of a reaction from the crowd than it should have XD.
Thanks so much for hosting this and uploading it! This cast is so lovely and get along so well. Even though Theo is on the quiet side, he carried the team where it counted in true Wyll fashion. Neil is charming as ever and Sam and Dev come in with amazing ideas. They all gel so well together comedically and I sincerely hope there is another all cast DnD session like the high-rollers one in the near future! DM was fantastic too, allowed them to have their ideas and ran with what they wanted while still wrangling them in (just like Mark from highrollers). It was a perfect balance with a great story and a very touching ending!
I love how Neil/astarions first reaction to the people around him being inebriated is to stop ❤❤ this man and his focus on consent in all regards ✅✅✅✅✅

All the hugs, cuddles, and kisses was such a nice little gift to the audience (and it looks like the babes enjoyed it too!) and idk if the lighting or the camera angles or what was extra special and glowy but everybody looked supernaturally Gorgeous at this liveplay. thank u to Jeremy for being such a lovely storyteller, and thank you Sam, Theo, Dev, and Neil for giving us this hilarious, sweet little story for the characters all of us love so much

We need a tv show of this , either of the actors themselves or the characters of bg3 themselves, while tav is away . Live action or animated, either way , and either way the actors have to play as the characters, wont work without them

Neil can only be described as an absolute darling. Samantha seems to just have way to much fun playing her character. Karlach and Astarionare just sisters of unhinged trouble. Devora is just way to cutely unknowing but giving her all. And Theo is quiet but everything he says and does has so much more impact. God I love the BG3 cast xD
Watching this was an absolute joy that I definitely needed and it's amazing to see that they're all such great friends whilst playing, even if some are less experienced than others, and that ending made me a little teary eyed like Astarion. Neil is such a fantastic actor, especially at the end, and Dev, Theo and Sam were also amazing in their RP and interactions :)

I just can't get enough of this. Not just because they're such a fun bunch and the BG3 cast, but because they're new players, and new players always come up with the most wonderful/cursed ideas during DnD 😂 They're all being so patient and nice to each other too, DM included! Great fun 😂
Agree with the overall sentiment, but Sam and Neil aren't new players. Sam has talked about playing 5e online, and Neil is a forever DM who started with AD&D, iirc

I love playing with new players, and sometimes even kids, they always surprise you. My friend is DMing for his children and one is playing a druid who befriends a Kobald, he just stays shape shifted into a lizard and tells the Kobald what he thinks it should do. But when a fight breaks out or someone threatens the Kobald he shape shifted into his half-orc and fights. Like...so unique and cool.

God... when the whole final scene happened, literally everyone around where I was sitting had tears in their eyes. I love how these One-Shots have genuinely added a surprising amount of development to these characters.

and me, I guess? I think I've seen.... 5 or fewer crit 1s from Astarion in 600 hours of game time. Oo
I've seen a good few cast one shots and Neil usually has pretty poor luck on his rolls
Except for when Neil rolled against his own character being literally thirsty, while playing BG3 LMAO! That was hilarious!
And, as someone else stated, he doesn't usually roll this well in general. He might've just saved his luck for this event. 🤣
Love how this whole video was basically Karlach getting drunk and hugging everything and Neil playing his usual Loot Goblin as Astarion :p

Wyll was accidentally introduced as a Tiefling when he is technically a devil. For the purposes of the game we were using Tieflings' stats. An edit was made.
@@DNDWizards Hm... technically Wyll is still human. Mizora's curse gave him devil horns and some other cosmetic alterations, but not devil powers. He's definitely not a "fiend" (which would be an Outsider in D&D terms, a being from the Lower Planes) after the curse, at least I don't remember his stats radically changing in-game.
@TF2CrunchyFrog You're correct, his stats don't change at all and he still has all the human attributes. It's purely cosmetic
@@TF2CrunchyFrogAs far as I remember, Wyll's stats don't change in game, and in fact, his exact punishment is included in appendix A of the adventure Baldur's Gate Escape From Avernus (which is essentially a prequel to BG3) and it doesn't confer any mechanical changes beyond registering as a fiend in detect good and evil
I love how slowly Jeremey speaks! It makes me wonder if I talk to fast while I DM leaving my players confused by information overload. Definitely something I should try.

Do it. I used to speak fast when DMing because I was so excited to get the story out but slowing down allows the players to take everything in & better visualize things so they can contribute & play their parts
We had far more improvisation going on that I felt really enhanced the experience for everyone & made for a better game & story
This is so much fun to watch! Loving Devora's outfit! A bit sad at the end of the story cuz Astarion managed to make a perfect plan to cure his friends from temporary vampirism while he himself could not be cured.

@@rosenrot234 Astarions whole thing is he wants to feel safe and free, and so he thinks that by having more power (aka becoming ascendant) he will “be safe and free” finally.
Only it doesn’t really work like that, and even when he becomes ascendant he still doesn’t truly feel safe or free, he will always still be trying to twist others to doing what he wants, trying to gain more powers, more followers, etc. so that he can feel “safe and free”. Also all of his worse traits become amplified as ascendant, so instead of healing his trauma, he basically becomes the new Cazador (just as Cazador became like his master).
If you romance Astarion he gets to finally feel at least part of what he truly wants (safe), even if he cannot have freedom (cannot walk in the sun). However he does come to terms with living in the dark again, and he seems to enjoy the freedom that darkness can bring (to not have all your actions seen), and he also seems to enjoy living in the Underdark leading all the spawn (especially if he is with his partner).
Also according to D&D lore, vampirism can be “cured” using a scroll of true resurrection as long as they haven’t been a vampire for more than (I think it was) 100 years. However Astarion had been a vampire for over 200, so there is no cure for his vampirism (but the newer vampires - like the Gur children - could be “cured” if they could get a true res scroll for each of them).
@@rosenrot234 why not? Astarion keeps talking with great negativity towards vampires. He hates the blood hunger, losing self control and monstrous nature. However given he cannot be cured under the circumstance, being a vampire ascendant allows him to live like a mortal, almost “alive”, while having all the vampire power. It’s kind of like the evil way of curing his vampirism. Actually I think it’s the point of his story, that he’s still able to choose to remain a vampire spawn although ascending could kind of cure him. In fact it’s the same for Cazador too. If you investigate further you will find even Cazador doesn’t want to be a vampire. Escaping the eternal curse is often the theme of vampire stories.

I really cant downplay how much Larian Studios put people onto DnD. I played DnD online when it first came out as a kid, and i just didnt have the money to pay it but holy moly is BG3 worth all the money and more.
Now, i can enjoy amazing roleplay as an adult and not feel alone in it 😂

Thanks so much for hosting this and uploading it! This cast is so lovely and get along so well. Even though Theo is on the quiet side, he carried the team where it counted in true Wyll fashion. Neil is charming as ever and Sam and Dev come in with amazing ideas. They all gel so well together comedically and I sincerely hope there is another all cast DnD session like the high-rollers one in the near future! DM was fantastic too, allowed them to have their ideas and ran with what they wanted while still wrangling them in (just like Mark from highrollers). It was a perfect balance with a great story and a very touching ending!
Neil once again being the sweetest human being❤️he deserves the world. Hats off to all of these amazing actors!

All the hugs, cuddles, and kisses was such a nice little gift to the audience (and it looks like the babes enjoyed it too!) and idk if the lighting or the camera angles or what was extra special and glowy but everybody looked supernaturally Gorgeous at this liveplay. thank u to Jeremy for being such a lovely storyteller, and thank you Sam, Theo, Dev, and Neil for giving us this hilarious, sweet little story for the characters all of us love so much

Watching this was an absolute joy that I definitely needed and it's amazing to see that they're all such great friends whilst playing, even if some are less experienced than others, and that ending made me a little teary eyed like Astarion. Neil is such a fantastic actor, especially at the end, and Dev, Theo and Sam were also amazing in their RP and interactions :)
