If adding a bodice to the skirt, should I add a seam allowance to the top of the waistline of the skirt or just sew it the way you just showed? A little confusing that part.
Also, how did you come up with 6 inches for the underbutt? Is that a standard? I saw somewhere else that it should be 1 inch smaller than waist-to-hip depth? Don’t understand this part, I do like that your skirt curved right under the bottom!

I added 1 inch extra to my full length that covers for the waist and hem sewing allowance.
The 6 inch is not a standard that was what I measured on my body so you can take the measurement of the person you're making the skirt for. It depends on the body type
