Tiana's closet should definitely include your pictures on the website ❤
🤣 it’s a nice idea! Thanks
This is so beautiful, I'm gonna make it a bit longer .
Tiana's closet patterns are real perfection, and your sewing tutorials are perfection as well ❤
Thanks so much. I did not modify the pattern at all and I am 5'0. 😁 Hope this helps as you customize your length.
@@Sew-Happy it helps a lot ❤️ 🤗
I'm 161cm I think it is 5'2 or 5'3 I'll lenght the skirt at least 15-20cm or 6 to 8 inches
It is nice as it is on you and I really love that length but somehow lately I love skirts that are bit below my knees .
When I lengthen it, it is easy to make it perfect to my desire length.
Thank you ❤️🤗
@@Renata.Renee. wonderful. So nice to be able to customize everything. 🤗
@@Sew-Happy it is ❤️ and to have beautiful wardrobe made by our own hands. It is priceless. i decided to make my own and to wear most of the time "me made outfits" with your guidance and Tiana's patterns it started to have " shape " and I am so so happy ❤️
@@Renata.Renee. I love that. I am the same -- mainly completely me-mades. I don't ever get tempted to buy clothes. 😂
That yoke is very slimming ❤
I agree -- and its high waisted, which is flattering, too.
My 19 year old would love this!!
Excellent -- perfect present 😊 🎁
This is a very flattering skirt. I think I wanna try it now. When I first saw it on the website I didn't like it but you've changed my mind. Beautiful zipper installation by the way
Thank you!! Glad you're gonna make one, too. 💕
I agree! It looks better here than I'd realized. I will lengthen for my purposes but change little else. It is perfection. :)
As someone with a very boxy shape I like this style that's come back, although I see it as more of a classic silhouette myself I'd wear anytime. Oh, meant to ask you, I love how simple, direct and easy you make putting in invisible zippers. I've really been making note lately.
I was wondering if this is part of the pattern or just your preferred method, steps, order of operations, whatever you choose to call it, your way?
Yes, I love this style, too. 😍 I usually do follow the pattern instructions -- but fill in all the gaps. Typically, I will enclose the zipper in the facing (as I did with the Camille and Marysia dresses), but with this skirt I changed it up, sewing a little faster by installing the zipper on top of the facing. I take little liberties here and there. 😁
Would you mind sharing what size you made? It would be very helpful as I am trying to figure out the sizing of Tiana's closet in the REAL vs. perhaps just the listed inches. Thanks!
I always sew the size XS with her patterns. My measurements are 32-25-34. 💕
@@Sew-Happy Wow, so helpful! Others have said her sizing sometimes runs large.... I will bear that in mind, as I tend to think of myself as not as small as an x small, but this would be the proper size for me. Thanks! You've been incredibly enlightening.
First! Olé 💃
I want a skirt like this but I still don't have the foot for zippers 😂
🎉🎉🎉
I just use a regular zipper foot -- did one come with your machine?
@@Sew-Happy just one that is half foot, not the one with the little two squares. I am not sure how to use it 😅
I also want to learn how to change the zipper in a pattern and put a button plaquet or something. I have tons of buttons, collected by a couple of generations of the family. It would be nice to use them 🙂
@@nuria.l-l-9827 good idea. I'm sure you have beautiful buttons! You could take a button placket from an existing pattern you own and sew it in place of the zipper (pay attention to the seam allowance, in case they are different).
Thank you ❤
🥰
Have you made the Katty tie back blouse from tiana closet
Not yet 😉 😁
