Unboxing Project Kics R40 Lug Nut

Got myself a set of Project Kics R40 lug nuts for a decent cosmetic upgrade in April. Build quality is not too bad and they feel definitely heavier than regular aluminium or duranium lug nuts but not quite as heavy as the OEM steel ones.
Hollow lug nuts free up some weight but also invites dust, dirt and rust in the lug nuts. Not that I am tracking the car so the little or negligible weight reduction provides no benefits. This is purely a cosmetic upgrade.

4 months down the road, thru rain, wet, dry and quite some distance travelled. The inside of some of the lug nuts began to accumulate rust. Had a chat with the rep at Project Kics and he suggested me to send in the lug nuts for inspection. Not quite gonna go thru the hassle after he says that rust is pretty common and suggested that I paint the inside or coat it with a little oil.
Not quite the outcome I wanted when these lug nuts cost quite a bit.
Cannot recommend this product.

What size is the lock i lost mine

There is a different lock nut in very box so I can't be sure if mine are the same. The are size 17 by the way

You shouldve ordered the caps for those lugs to prevent it from rusting...

Hi,
These are the classic designs and do not allow caps.
The newer ones do come with caps. I coat the insides occasionally with a thin layer of old and so far for the past 2 years, no issues at all.
