Project Kics R40 DIY Rust Solution | Easter Eve Gift VLOG

So…. it’s Easter EVE, and i work on Easter. I decided to make a quick video about something that was really bugging me. EVERYTIME i wash my car, i hate seeing the orange rust from the studs staining the inside of my Project Kics R40 Lug Nuts and when it gets pretty bad, it runs down and stains the wheels. As you all know, it’s coated with Rustoleum Peel-Coat - so anything that can stain it, will stain it. I was the wheels right away, so the orange rust doesn’t stain the wheels.
Anyways, here’s a simple solution for that rust, and it creates a very subtle look for the open end R40 lug nuts if you’re not running extended studs. I wanted to share with the world, because this simple solution makes a WHOLE lot of difference!
Quick Note: I washed my car after this video, and drove around the neighborhood. The plugs did not fall off, nor did the loose plug from the locking lug nut fell off with the RTV application. Its on there REALLY snug, you have to push them out from the inside of the lug nut which requires removing the lug nut from the stud. So, it is safe to say that it is definitely going to be a permanent application for me.
