The Corgan family seems like it has a very interesting history. Thanks for sharing your story. In a way it kinda gives a little more insight to the songs you have written Billy.
I'm so glad I fell in love with the early work of this man. I may not find all he's done as relatable as I once did but I am always enjoying his journey and his intellect. For us, at the moment some 700 or so, that enjoy these little windows into more it is warming and moving in a way similar to growing over many years. Not easily quantified or described, just a warmth found in observing a soul in time.
I saw the pumpkins on lollapalooza in 94 and loved hearing Gish and Siamese Dream! Both records are pure HEAVEN! Billy, James, Darcy, and Jimmy doesn’t get better than that! I’m not gonna lie: I REALLY MISS DARCY BEING IN THIS BAND 💔
I wholeheartedly agree. I just caught their show in Seattle this past Saturday. Even though it’s great seeing them perform, it just isn’t the same without D’arcy in the group.
So profound, thank you Billy for doing this. I saw a parallel with my own family with fatalism. I didn't even know this word until this video. I appreciate you sharing your family with us.
Same here. The parallels with my family. I had heard the word way in the past but it was used to describe something else. Though, yeah, I guess it is fatalism. I had always called it a curse on the family and thought it emanated from my dad's side.
these episodes, clips, and performances really do brighten my day each day. Thank you for sharing all this with us ❤ its really cool and endearing to see/hear about all the influences that helped in shaping you to be who you are.
Love, love this one (episode?!) This history of family is always so interesting to me. I hope Billy continues in the strong direction his Grandma set forth of opposing the idea of their fate being marked - don’t settle! 💜
I am really enjoying these. It stinks that You were only like 35 miles away from me when you were in Brownstown Illinois, and i didn't know it. I appreciate you sharing this with us. Thank you, Billy. :-)
what l can see happens too often with bands l like is that they mellow out once they've reached a certain level of success and the financial reward that comes along. Most were people who lived a life of sorrow, scarcity, rejection whose talent, emotion, and hunger for success led them to make the beautiful art we enjoy today. Once money has brough in peace the hunger goes away and we get frustrating results. As a fan l understand and l'm perfectly fine with that. All it takes is placing yourself in their shoes
I'm doing these in order, best one so far, as far as I'm concerned. I've enjoyed the others, the places and the people. But hearing BC have an actual conversation is great. Some of the other chats he's having with people seem to get cut short before they get interesting.
This is a wonderful installment..You're Aunt Sue is so charming! You resemble her greatly at times. Thanks for letting us share a part of your family history. This is what makes you such an amazing man!💗
Your Aunt seems like a wonderful person. How nice to spend time with your grandma. Long life, wow. I took my Dads photo albums home. Like the ones your aunt has I had to screen shot most of them because of the glue on the back. Precious memories with those photos.
At 00:40, you see those restaurants? Those are literally less than a mile away from my house. Feels kind of weird in a cool way to see someone I respect so much in my hometown.
For some reason I'm remembering (perhaps incorrectly?) either album art on inside cover of Siamese Dream, or one of the singles releases off that album, that had some older photos that resembled some of the ones from Billy's family album. I wonder if there's any connection between older Smashing Pumkins album art and Billy's family photos?
...........las fotos del álbum familiar........me han recordado...........el interior del librito de tu cd Siamese Dream...........muy original y bonito........con las fotos rodeadas por las letras de las canciones..........ah pongo el modo subtitulado..........y entiendo algo más las conversaciones..........y sí............tienes una gran familia.......que se quieren entre todos............yo.......ya sabes.........prefiero ni hablar........que me pongo triste...........Good night Billy.........th-cam.com/video/kOT4i9feKHE/w-d-xo.html...........
OH MY WORD! This was like stepping into my own family's house. Seeing the 1960/70's photo album with all the earlier family photos. You realize that everyone's the same, just different people, different lives. Then I noticed out of all the chairs, his aunt had one metal chair, and thats the one she sat in. My grandmother does this too. Not sure the reason his aunt does it, but my grandmother does it because it's the least comfortable and reserves the better chairs for company.
This is such a great series. Is Billy vegan by any chance? I had trouble finding any vegan restaurants in the south too, and ended up buying a lot of stuff at grocery stores like he's doing in the video.
Billy, there is something going on in me since I've been watching your 30 days videos. I feel like something is lost nowadays and I constantly search for it. Thanks for helping me continue to find it.
Thanks for the reply. I am from Alachua County (High Springs). I've been to Boulware springs / Paines Prarie and I've seen that huge population of gators. We are all big gator fans like your mom. My wife and I and our parents all graduated from UF. In addition to that, I've been a big fan of your cousin Will for many years (since the 90's). At one time or another I could play and sing all of his songs.
Billy Corgan early work has aged so well..some alternative music did not age well...a lot of stuff I listened to when I was a teen is not..well...good. Anyway smashing pumpkins is still relatable, sounds fresh, always amazes me that some songs are so intricate. songs like disarm or Drown sound different on ever listen in a way...like I can hear something in there I didn't hear on my 20th listen. STP and Veruca salt and the breeders still sound good to me also...
7:31 "theres always someone out to get you " - in this guys case some of his band members too. His need for validation makes him chase after people who will likely reject him. like his bass player who criticized his singing talent but he still wants her back.
That's my mom! I'm the one in the story that could hear her singing in the crowd at my graduation.
She's so cute! Loud and proud. lol
How fortunate -- she's a treasure!
Oh really?
The Corgan family seems like it has a very interesting history. Thanks for sharing your story. In a way it kinda gives a little more insight to the songs you have written Billy.
Everyone has this perception of him being so different or odd! He's just like everyone else and this shows it! WPC keep doing what makes you happy!

This day/video definitely stood out from the rest so far. Was great to see Billy with his aunt.
So profound, thank you Billy for doing this. I saw a parallel with my own family with fatalism. I didn't even know this word until this video. I appreciate you sharing your family with us.

I could hang out with Bill, the guy is so down to earth. Thanks for sharing your story ..
PJ Neslo with all respect to billy, he's anything but down to earth haha
Billy's aunt reminds me a lot of my grandma! It's interesting how the same generations have so much in common.
Love, love this one (episode?!) This history of family is always so interesting to me. I hope Billy continues in the strong direction his Grandma set forth of opposing the idea of their fate being marked - don’t settle! 💜
i wish these were LONGER! really cool.

Love the intimacy, thank you for sharing.
Don't settle. Good advice. And now I understand where you get your determination from, William. 😉 it's in the genes...
God just fell in love even more with William Patrick corgan. X
It seems as if you are achieving your objectives for your journey. This looks about as American as can be! Happy for you!
:D
Ooh that food looked so good
Beautiful!! ✌️💙
I also have a grandmother named Lillian. She’s in her 90’s now and has outlived all of her 11 siblings; It must be a good name.

Fascinating insight. I wonder what Billys dad thought then when his son went onto superstardom?
Seems like y'all are starting to find the heart of this work. Keep it up!
Love this so much!
These could be 20 minutes and i wouldn't mind.
bladerunner1b Exactly. This was my favorite video by far. Loved the visit with his aunt. She's adorable!
This was so interesting I'm glad he went to see his family
lovely personne he to be discovered
AHHHHH! If only I knew he was going to be in Columbus!
There is like a 100 plus album covers from that old photos that Billy was looking at.
Beautiful journey! you are one of the few standing strong of all the greats in 90s rock music legacy!
This is so cool
excellent video!
I'm happy for Billy
Thank you for sharing such personal things. I pray for safe and happy travels.

Yup you're right. He mentions this in his online confessions, which is a really interesting read.

Great.
we all have negative people in our lives that influence us when we’re young. i think they’re jealous even when it’s parents.
Why does Billy Corgan have such a strange voice? Does his sibling sound the same ?
Aunt Sue backup vocals coming soon.
Got it!!!😀😀😀
102 years old
Wow
I love Machina II! :D
This is such a great series. Is Billy vegan by any chance? I had trouble finding any vegan restaurants in the south too, and ended up buying a lot of stuff at grocery stores like he's doing in the video.
He's a pescatarian now I don't know if he was at the time they made this
Good grief, Charlie Brown! Lol he looks like Charlie Brown all grown up! 😂

I didn’t like Billy Corgan but now i love the man i didn’t understand him as a human being i do a bit more now and he is a brilliant man.
How tall is Corgan? My goodness, standing next to them he looks 6'6"
Don't settle
Why is there duct tape on tht right rear view mirror Billy? 😂
Billy, there is something going on in me since I've been watching your 30 days videos. I feel like something is lost nowadays and I constantly search for it. Thanks for helping me continue to find it.
Funny as i watch this i am more intrigued with auntie has to say more so than Corgan... Plus Corgan has a funny patterned stripe style...
Those of us so fortunate need to thank God for our American birth !
Those poor souls in Canada, UK, Australia, oh the horror..
Nice to see that superstars have a "Real side" to their lives....Except for your Aunts dog...He was so well behaved, almost seemed like a toy lol
Billy the all american
Billy writing a movie
About his life or what would it be of
Something along the lines of music, cats, wrestling
Forgive me, is this aunt a sister of Billy’s father, or mother?
Pianist that's my language, I have a guitar bass guitar but I'm more of a piano person
Did your Aunt Sue really write a book? What is the name of the book? What is your Aunt Sue's last name?
Ray Forrester She wrote a book of poetry. It was self published so you wouldn’t be able to find it. It’s called Earth Music. She’s my mom.

I actually went to FSU, so I’m the black sheep of the family.
Leslie Douglas, I understand my mom in law has an irrational "dislike" for Seminoles :)
celebrities don't really phase me but seeing them driving weirds me out for some reason. Is that odd?
Noticed you were making a salad so sticking to your diet
Has he ever explained what happened to his hand? Burn?

Just wondering , what happened ? your Dad had Blond Hair, and you Black? was yours just dirty blonde and dyed darker?
