Ive binge watched two seasons and im hooked on it. All that i hope is that this doesnt go down "The Walking Dead" route. I would rather see an explosive finale in season 3 and for it to come to a conclusion than see season after season of drawn out storylines going nowhere. Its one of the best series ive seen in a long time and hope the producers do it justice. Roll on Season 3.........

"The Leftovers". Same trippy, same excellent production values, and knew where it was going, got there, and said "The End" after three seasons. Superb. Whoever is doing From thought so too, because they pulled a lot of the structural elements of that show into the construction of this one.
Exactly. Donna told this detail when she recounted how her sister died. The monsters kill for sport. They torture. It's not a velociraptor speedy type of kill. They leave the head intact to make their victim suffer long. Not sure why it seemed the monsters took particular detail killing the guy with dementia. That's what's disturbing. I hate those monsters.
The show FlashForward was awesome, it was a mix between lost and 24. Was really upset when they canceled it after one season lol. Totally worth a watch
This series really reminds me of the backrooms and scp lore, it is super good so far and i think they do a good job of building tension and making think about the mystery of this place
i don’t get the hype. i tried to watch seasons 1-2 and it was really boring, every time there was an important scene giving clues or info, it will be cut and jump to another scene. the story will just lead you to rabbit holes lol what a waste of time, more of the drama than horror tbh

I wanna be clear, i love this show, fuck whoever made it so hard to watch it though, especially for people outside the US. If i deadass wanted to watch it casually, i need to first, buy a prime subscription, then an Mgm+ subscription, then since its outside the US and the episodes are no longer available to European services, pay for each episode individually or the whole season. 3 SEPERATE PAYMENT PLANS???? Oh, i also forgot to mention i needed to buy a VPN subscription just to be able to do any of this. Its a mess. It hurts that the easiest way for me to watch it is just pirate it because i genuinely want to support the people that made this show and hope that season 3 is the finale.

Me and my fiancee are almost wrapping up season 2 and holy shit have I enjoyed this show so far. It's like they took the mistakes from Lost, gave it a decade so people forgot then just remade it in a horror setting. I love it. Not been gassed for a show like this in a while.
The more I watch it, the worse it gets. I will stick out the end of S2. Sarah scared, Boyd not. All of a sudden, Boyd scared, Sarah not. Tabitha scared, Victor not. All of a sudden, Victor scared, Tabitha not. Boyd helping Martin...Wtf Whining Julie and stupid Brother in season one. Poorly written. Could be better.
Just found the show and haven't finished season 1 yet but completely agree... the first few episodes are them setting up a premise that I think is not easy to sell, but they pull it off and turn it into a really gripping narrative. Also, whoever does their camera work did a freaking amazing job.

I thought this show was weak. It started off good and then went stale when it became over dramatic. I feel they could have focused more tension and horror into the story than all of the nonsensical fighting amongst each other. It left me annoyed and wanting all of the characters to die! I could only make it through first season and the finale didn't even leave you on a decent cliff hanger. The acting is miserable, none of the characters are interesting and the cookie crumb story telling leaves a lot to be desired. There's so many things that don't make sense. Why would anyone wear a work uniform day in and day out in that situation?

It's a good show. The actors are good. The atmosphere is tense. The gore is good. The monsters are scary. I got hooked from the first episode. Episode 2 kept the action going, and the rest of the season is like a runaway train.

The acting is horrible. The show is slow and almost unwatchable. It has such high reviews and ive tried really hard to watch it because I like the concept.
They did themselves a disservice by starting off as a horror series. When it turned out it wasn't a horror series - the monsters are almost never in it - I wondered what I even came to watch it for in the first place 🤷 Definitely not the characters. I wanted the monsters and I wanted the gore that they put on display aplenty at the start of the series.
Also, the promotional art looks like the owner of a liquor store being freaked out by a meth head who’s trying to convince him to open the door after hours.
I just binge watched it... its 2 seasons of nothing. Seriously no progression was made by any of the characters over the two seasons. select characters find out more about the town but then fail to share that information or act on it so the story doesn't progress. Theres alot of random and totally pointless subplots that go nowhere.
Couldn’t finish the second episode, i really hated the acting and the fact that they wont tell the new comers what’s going on. Instead they hit them and tie them like dude just tell them 💀💀
I’m definitely in the minority here but I really enjoyed the first season of the Scream series. The only reason I didn’t like the second season is it seemed rushed so they weren’t able to wrap the story up properly

I'm surprised by all the positive reviews. The show had an incredible premise, and an original idea. The spooky factor and the mystery was really fun. But what ruined it for me was the WRITING. Oh my gosh, this show had some of the worst dialogue and poor acting I've ever seen 😭
I watched From because I've read an article telling that it was too scary. Imho it's like Nickelodeon level scary. I've wasted 10 hours of this. Damn that article. If you want scary films go watch insidious , the conjuring, the ring, the grudge, it follows, etc.
I would personally call From far scarier than The Grudge or The Conjuring. But it's more inside your skin scares rather than bubble gum jump scares. That's just for me though.
Mike! Dude, I heard about From like one other place, and didn't realize that was the name at first but it sounds interesting, gonna try and check it. Also, off topic butt, listening to some past live streams, I got around to watching the Evil Dead series after having seen Rise first. Man what a time Bruce must have had acting almost entirely alone in Evil Dead 2 until that couple comes to the cabin. Finished Army of Darkness which, was fun. I can definitely see influences from past installments of the series on Rise I'm pretty stoked to see what they do in the future.

I'm on the third episode of season 1. The only thing keeping me watching is the mystery. Poorly written characters (so far I only really like Jade, the boy and the weird guy), dialogue, non-sensical rules meant to "keep the town together". It's a very woke show too, kind of wish I hadn't started it because I want to punish Hollywood for pushing their agenda. I'm a sucker.
