It's crazy how just sitting and actually "doing" nothing helps. The mind receives so much stimulation, it just needs a break sometimes to process and relax. Gonna try playing nature sounds, I've never tried that while just hanging out at home.
A big aha moment for me when you said" I don't have to do everything I expect of myself." For me, this is huge. Thank you. I owe you a debt of gratitude. Now If I can listen and take some pressure off.
One way I've reduced my stress is by thinking of what I can do to make my husband happy. By focusing on him while taking care of our home by cleaning or tidying up a bit, I feel happier than doing it just for myself. So it's turned mundane -sometimes stressful - tasks into something I really enjoy doing each day.
@@SimpleHappyZen I agree. I wasn't trying to imply that I don't focus on myself, too. It just surprised me by how much focusing on doing small things to make my spouse happy reduced my stress.
I am Lebanese and I live in Beirut. I have been experiencing the worst stress ever for 2 weeks due to the Beirut explosion that had happened. I have just started to focus again and recharge...after all we cannot always control what happens on the outside even if we try....but we can work on what is inside of us. Thank you for the relaxing video. Much much needed❤️

The footage and music of this video was very relaxing... I feel like my stress levels have lowered just by watching it hehe. I follow most of these tips - I also find that making a nice meal, sitting on the water, reading, and working out as effective stress relievers!
When I get really stressed or worried or sad, I write. Whether it be in a poem form, diary form, story form, it doesn't matter. Being able to get thoughts out of my head on to paper really helps. :)
For me : being organized is IMPORTANT!.. I get stressed easily if my thoughts, house or time is not organized.. thank you so much for this helpful video
Hi Vera. I meditate at least once daily, I lift weights(living in the moment as I do so),ride my bicycle(Bike tour of the Netherlands is on my bucket list!),writing in my journal, and sometimes simply being still and listening to the universe.
Personally in the mornings, i watch videos such as this, or anything with calming music, and watching someone cook, water plants, go about their daily life with a calming music in the background. That is my time to myself in the mornings.
Great tips! I’ve created a bedroom that is super minimal and so incredibly relaxing, so every night I go in there and just sit on the floor with soft quiet meditation sounds playing, sometimes it’s only a few minutes and sometimes an hour. I don’t set a time, I just let myself be there, and when I’m done, I’m done. It’s made a huge difference in my sleep. I’m working on my excessive caffeine consumption lol that’s been my Kryptonite 😂

Thank you for the tips, Vera! I really loved the visuals in this video. Something I do now that we are in Summer in Texas is take a good nap after work or for a little bit on weekend afternoons. Temperatures have been getting over 100 F degrees and I take my inspiration from our cats just to rest while its hot. I find this very helpful in reducing the stress of trying to be busy while its extremely hot outside. Thank you for reminding me to take a phone break and just slow down. Have a good weekend.

Simple Happy Zen they’re seperate things. There is the breathing technique, which is extremely beneficial for many physicial aspects, and then there’s the cold showers. I really recommend researching it, it really helps many things including stress and the great thing is that it’s backed up by science!

Hi Vera :) my way to reduce stress is a mindful morning routine. I exercise and strech, take a shower, read something motivational and ask myself - what is the most important thing to me today? Take care of mind and body. It makes me feel I'm in control.
Such a beautiful video. I try and incorporate a lot of the different techniques which you mention to help me when I am stressed out such as meditation, taking time for myself etc. But I also have an extra stress reliever, I do field archery. I find it therapeutic to be able to shoot at targets and the buzz you get when you hit what you’re aiming at is amazing. Plus the course I go to is in woodland on the side of a mountain so I get exercise and I’m out in nature, so for me it’s a perfect combination

I am a supervisor in an office, and have had to be at work every day since the pandemic caused a lockdown. We are considered essential personnel. My staff have been very stressed out, as we have to wear masks and sanitize throughout the day. I told them as scary as the unknown is, we need to find something to laugh about every day to keep sane! Seems to help us keep going with a good attitude. 😁

Whatsapp is far worse imo, as people actually expect a reaction of you, at whatever time they see convenient (for them, mostly), and on whatever topic crosses their mind for a few seconds - I'm not the only one getting messages that would only warrant the reaction, "Wtf? Are you drunk and/or on drugs?!", 15 minutes before you not want to be in bed, but actually asleep, right?? Which also makes your check the phone more often than you have cause and/or even desire for. Well, as the old wisdon goes, it's not the messenger though, rather the person who sends the message, as for me, expect consequences, my peace of mind and mental health is more important than what you might have just seen on TV. smh

Haha thank you so much! To be honest there weren't any Dutch clips in this video. :) Since I only have my camera for a short while, my clips are usually shot with my phone, therefore the quality will always be less. So I love this imagebank because it has the most beautiful clips.

Puzzles help me relax and when I get stressed lately I also use silly puddy to play with and I logged out of fb :) also what can cause stress is thyroid I have thyroid issues and it causes more anxiety so getting your thyroid checked and being on medication for it can help.

Hi Vera :) my way to reduce stress is a mindful morning routine. I exercise and strech, take a shower, read something motivational and ask myself - what is the most important thing to me today? Take care of mind and body. It makes me feel I'm in control.

Hi sis for reducing stress i always sit in a dark room and play tibetian tingsha bell for an hour it helps me....
Such a beautiful video. I try and incorporate a lot of the different techniques which you mention to help me when I am stressed out such as meditation, taking time for myself etc. But I also have an extra stress reliever, I do field archery. I find it therapeutic to be able to shoot at targets and the buzz you get when you hit what you’re aiming at is amazing. Plus the course I go to is in woodland on the side of a mountain so I get exercise and I’m out in nature, so for me it’s a perfect combination
Oh that's so interesting! Would like to try it sometime. For me, playing tennis is great. Like you said, it's outdoors and great exercise
Simple Happy Zen if you ever get the opportunity to have a go I highly recommend it.

Such a lovely calming video! Thank you Vera! I could feel my stress melting away just watching this video...and, I do agree that laughter is so important!!! I am a supervisor in an office, and have had to be at work every day since the pandemic caused a lockdown. We are considered essential personnel. My staff have been very stressed out, as we have to wear masks and sanitize throughout the day. I told them as scary as the unknown is, we need to find something to laugh about every day to keep sane! Seems to help us keep going with a good attitude. 😁

Whatsapp is far worse imo, as people actually expect a reaction of you, at whatever time they see convenient (for them, mostly), and on whatever topic crosses their mind for a few seconds - I'm not the only one getting messages that would only warrant the reaction, "Wtf? Are you drunk and/or on drugs?!", 15 minutes before you not want to be in bed, but actually asleep, right?? Which also makes your check the phone more often than you have cause and/or even desire for. Well, as the old wisdon goes, it's not the messenger though, rather the person who sends the message, as for me, expect consequences, my peace of mind and mental health is more important than what you might have just seen on TV. smh

I have just completed my artists website and am working on consistency and some other tactics I’ve been listening to on The Minimalists - those guys are great. Haha thank you so much! To be honest there weren't any Dutch clips in this video. :) Since I only have my camera for a short while, my clips are usually shot with my phone, therefore the quality will always be less. So I love this imagebank because it has the most beautiful clips.

Puzzles help me relax and when I get stressed lately I also use silly puddy to play with and I logged out of fb :) also what can cause stress is thyroid I have thyroid issues and it causes more anxiety so getting your thyroid checked and being on medication for it can help.
