Agreed, I mean what’s the most enjoyment that you will get out of a painting. To gaze & admire it, have it brighten a room in your home. A bed plays a part in contributing to how you rest/sleep, relax, your overall body and health.
The reason people spend millions on paintings is usually because they know that they can sell it for more later on. The mattress on the other hand.. not so much

To anyone reading this, don't just look at the bed like an expensive bed. You are paying for brand appreciation, the product itself is short lived. This should tell you why branding is important. You just have to sell your niche and vision to a niche market that happens to share your vision.

There's a market for everything, my grandfather in South India became a millionaire by becoming a hair merchant, so sorry to burst your bubble - Anything is possible. Also to expand on what I mentioned earlier, If you go through a collaborative experience like the one shown in the video, where you see 3 parties involved, Manufacturer, Designer, Client - They are all marketing themselves directly and indirectly.

I think this is such a stain on the Hästens brand. For me Hästens is about uniquely natural materials and artesanism. Being functional and above style. With Ferris Rafauli Hästens has descended into the land of tacky.
You don’t need a luxurious bed that cost an arm & a leg to sleep like a king especially when most commoners sleep like a log.
Some of the best sleep, I ever had, was on a bed of coal, in an underground coal mine,, you could literally sleep the whole shift away & still come out,, full of beans,, Trust me…
