    I'm using Viva 850 manual, almost everyday facing the same thing which is traffic jam, yes kon, absolutely true about keeping a distance so that no need to upshift or downshift the gear...anw, driving a manual is fun to drive... beauty with the pain

    I'm driving a manual in KL for a long time, no issue. Modern cars clutch is lighter nowdays

    All car owned by me and my wife are all manual transmission. Planning to get another car next year, also a manual transmission. Even my wife hates auto transmission 🤣. Yeah. We tidak minat auto transmission 👍🏻

    This video clearly shows the passenger handling the footwork so that the driver can focus on the driving itself. You cannot drive manual alone

      ​​@@KonWaiLuen hey there sir, well I have already driven an automatic car in my hometown but I am still yet to try and drive our family's manual car in KL, also our family car isn't a friendly beginner car because it is a BMW active tourer 218i (manual transmission) so i'm a bit scared to drive otherwise i'll wreck the precious car.😅 Also, I have one small enquiry about driving manual, if I want to enter or turn in a junction, should I press the clutch and gently tap the engine?

    Thanks for this . I always rest my foot on the clutch so it was really tiring . I think I need to relearn how to do the footwork correctly

      iichirotakumi restin the foot on the clutch is not a good idea. Ur clutch lining will be worn faster.

    I used to drive manual, last year switched to cvt
    I prefer to drive manual in traffic jam in the city, auto so tiring need to press the brake pedal when idling. Unless your auto car comes with auto-hold brake lah haha.
    But for 3-4 hours jam like in north plus highway due to accident or festive season, i prefer auto > manual

      Wow that's weird, most ppl prefer it the other way around. Auto in traffic, manual on highways. Wouldn't it be more tiring to press the clutch and gas in traffic though?

      @@brandonczw definitely, I switched to auto years ago for this reason, manual requires your brain to be engaged (clutch position, what gear do I need, applying handbrake etc etc), auto is simply a "go" and a "stop" pedal, so much easier physically and mentally.

    I'm still driving corolla ae92, upshift gear when reach 2.5-3 rpm also, uses equally between engine brake and normal brake. No time to play phone or do other things, good for safety on the roads.

    in traffic i barely touch my gas pedal since i prefer to roll slowly all the way even if i need to keep a 1.5 car spacing between me an the front car, rather than clutch break, clutch accelerate, clutch break

    I don't know why people are complaining about manual it's easy, the only tricky thing is the hill power play (which is easy when you get the technique)

    Hi Bobby, I have an 2007 Toyota Camry 2.4V, Recently i did an extensive suspension change of perts on my camry and now i am facing an issue with the driving. Whenever i go through some highway corner around 80km, my car corner to the left just fine, but when i corner to the right often the traction control on the left front whells turn on and it is making me feel my car is dangerous. I dont have this issue when i am cornering to the left where my car feels stable and no traction control auto braking goes off. Can you advise on what is the possible issue?

    I'm still driving manual transmission in traffic jam... I've get used to it (both manual and auto are tiring in traffic jam due to stepping brake pedal)... When standstill, just let neutral to avoid unintended acceleration...

      For a used 50k car.. Get lancer gt 2.0/ e90 325i, c200 w204 kompressor, civic fd 2.0, audi b8 1.8t pre facelift

      Aku pernah kena satu kali, main futsal, kena tackle cedera kaki kiri, lepas tu masih boleh bawa Nissan Navara manual pulang. Klac ringan, boleh bawa.
      Lepas tu balik bawa Proton Waja.... terus mengalah.

    Pelajar here, masa first aku belajar manual bende paling aku takut bila kereta tibe tibe berhenti sebab terangkat clutch cepat sangat, kadang kadang dah angkat perlahan dah tapi still kereta berhenti.

    people always told me don't rev the engine. This behavior can damage the engine. Is this true?

      Engine is build for rev, high rev wont damage the engine. Just dont over rev.

    Will only consider a manual transmission if it's a weekend car. Can't imagine living with this commuting in and out of the city.

      I drive a manual in daily traffic of KL, no problem whatsoever. Mordern car clucth are very light and forgiving , many who complaint having a tiring leg driving a manual car have never own a manual car before, or, never even driven a manual car after getting their driving licence.

      Just to add. The daily grind in the city is stressful as it is, why introduce another element of stress? Heel and toe la. Balancing la. Picking the correct gear la. Not to mention having to negotiate reckless drivers on the road. To champion manual transmission is fine. It is engaging and fun to be in control. But do consider personal preference of others. Freedom of choice, right?

      Chris Norway it’s bad for your transmission, if you downshift without rev matching or blipping the throttle. It will be unpleasant and rough, You can feel the car is struggling.

    Kon...do one video with semi auto example Mazda car where u can play with the gear when driving...then when jam just push it do auto again...I always do that way...no sure will it be good for my gearbox

      It shouldnt harm your gearbox if you dont over-rev the gears too frequently.

    i have hyperactive feet (i.e: moving around a lot) and I find manual is a lot better because I can move my foot every now and then and since modern car have light clutch pedal anyway so it never bothers me

      it's Proton Waja/Impian Campro, I'm not so sure abt the years manufactured maybe around 2009 bcs I think this is the second facelift after the previous one (2006) which uses the same engine but different exterior styling
