    Never see anyone do this in the gym.. Needless to say I got a few looks... Works really well and a lot better then the machine.. Defo gonna be using this more regular ... Thanks!!

    Great! Ive never seen anyone doing it, but I started doing it last week and the guys around me were surprised what Im doing :) Its actually very nice exercise :)

    Another video that show face instead of the legs
    Come on ...we want see the legs movement and position
    It's legs exercise not face exercise, so don't focus the video on his face

    Great video! i have a question about the hack squats. I tried it today and found that my upper back gets rounded as i squat down although my lower back is nice and arched. Is it a problem and how to deal with it? Thanks

    when i do this exercise the barbell scrapes my calves. Will this stop after some practice?

      You can also widen your hand grip. It'll miss your legs entirely

    Always do hack squat with low weight and high rep 12-20 for set of 3-5.I was using heawy weight but i was not feeling my quads and bar always slamed to calves.

    How do you avoid the bar heading your ankle on the way down? How heavy should I go? My gym doesn't allow slamming in the weights. I wanna work up to 3 and a half plates

      planet fitness sounds like its aweful, I would never go there, it is kind of hard not to slam the weights doing hack squats (unless I am doing something wrong as i am new to the lift)

    That's a hack Deadlift not a hack Squat, they are two different exercises.

      And how would you suggest he get the barbell to the top of the movement, aside from deadlifting it? It's like saying a Romanian deadlift is actually a conventional deadlift because you have to lift the weight up at the beginning and put it down at the end of the set.
