Things you can equip/use to boost item discovery: Silver Tear Mask helm (+8 Arcane) Marika's Soreseal talisman (+5 Arcane) Silver Scarab talisman (+75 Discovery) Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot consumable (+50 Discovery for 3 minutes) Each point in Arcane is a point in Discovery so anything you can do to pump Arcane will help you when farming (assuming you're not already at 99 Arcane). Activating Godrick's Great Rune will net you another 5 points in Arcane. You could also respec with Rennala, dumping as many points into Arcane as you can, farming, then respec'ing back to your preferred build. Good luck, Tarnished!
I so wish they would allow us to take the cosmetics of one armor and put them on but retain stats of another. So many amazing armor sets that just don't perform that well.

Started a new game a few weeks ago and just realized through Raya’s quest line that I literally missed ALL of the Volcano manor dungeon. I thought the place with Tanith was all there was to it, didn’t know there was a whole dungeon hidden haha.
For blue silver, just ride east of the town, there will be an archer patrolling alone there you can take out, then another one is sitting by a tree, also alone. You can easily farm the set without being molested by arrows this way.
The banished knights in stormveil all drop everything, there's even one with the unaltered helm there. Got it yesterday there! Only the unaltered armor you need to get in Castle Sol :)
For anyone who loves the Blackflame monk set, I'd recommend also getting the fire prelate greaves and gauntlets as they match perfectly with the blackflame monk robe and hood, and they also had better overall defensive stats over the blackflame gauntlets and boots. My absolute favorite combo of armor in Elden Ring
The BLOODSOAKED TABARD is also one of the rarest chest armours. It can only be farmed by the horn wielding mausoleum foot soldiers near the Apostate Derelict, in the Consecrated Snowfield. IMO what makes this armour even more rare/unique/challenging to obtain is that you can NOT immobilize the magic raining mausoleum and then rest at a site of grace -- they disappear afterwards. This tabard also has the highest poise of all tabards.
You can definitely immobilise the walking mausoleum and then farm for the tabard. I did it two weeks ago after I defeated the Elden Beast. Wanted to get everything before staring NG+
@@Rhodey157 You're right! I'm on NG+3 and just downing all the mausoleums and the ConsecratedSF soldiers are still there!?!?. Absolute Madness! FROM must have patched this or I have the worst luck. After my first Elden Beast those soldiers and the Deeproot Depth soldiers all disappeared after downing the magic mausoleum and I had to wait till NG+ to get that last tabard. Thanks for the new mystery to solve and Good Luck with your next playthrough.
Also, when farming the Redmane knight, there's a grace right next to the wooden tower, and the tower has an arrow talisman for those interested. Finally the guillemots are pronounced Gee-uh-mots 😊
I don't see anyone that is farming drops mention the Silver Teardrop helm. While it doe slightly reduce physical damage output, it raises arcane by 8 (and 8% better discovery is nothing to sneeze at).
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for making these videos. I got elden ring recently after it won game of the year. I had never played a souls game before and was ready to throw in the the towel. It just seemed impossible. Your videos helped me to understand what I should be doing and know that everyone struggles.
These games are all about persevering and getting back up when you're knocked down. First time I played the original dark souls, I quit for 2 months after the 1st area because I couldn't get past some poison rats under a bridge. I came back and these from soft games have become some of my favorite games of all time.
You can get the regular banished knight helm from Farum Azula. Underneath the area where the injured dragon is, there is also an area to get the set like from the dragon church.
Pro tip for Black Flame Monk set.. if you wanna get your poise to minimum values needed to not be easily staggered.. farm the Fire Prelates Gauntlets and Greaves to wear with the Monk armor and headpiece. Aesthetically matches very well and gives you minimum poise.

So for the Black Flame Monk set, you can also farm the one down at the bottom of the Caelid Divine Tower. Took me about 40 kills on him, but hey. 30 seconds a kill. Drops the whole set eventually.
I'm still shocked that the first drop I had Armour wise that I rocked up until the ronin set was the altered banished knight set. Had no idea how rare it was

Blue Silver set easy farming you need: Unseen form sorcery Mogh's Sacred Spear (Bloodboon Ritual) Black Knife Chest piece for quiet footsteps (or the talisman with the same effect) From then on you're good to go. Happy farming
Waiting for the dlc for continue my collection. Got them all multiple times. One thing though; there is a much easyer farming spot for albinauric bow and Blue silver armour set.

This is a little off topic but you can also farm the guardian swordspear in Caelid near the northern minor erdtree. Just go to the Smoldering Church and follow the edge of the cliff over to the Minor Erdtree. You'll see a few guardians along the way. Kill them and you'll be able to get the swordspear. Can be done in the early in the game. I was able to get two in about 15 minutes.
I think you forgot the "Black knife assassin set", I missed it in my first run. It's in Ordina, Liturgical Town, under a bridge. Although not really effective, I think it is the best looking armor in the game.
For those who want the redmane set and farm in a set of three that's better then the redmane castle one Go to the smouldering wall grace and go SW, you will see a small camp with 2 soldiers and 1 knight, then run towards fort gael there is a redmane night using a great bow, kill him, clear the fort, kill the beast at the bottom and open the gate entrance of the fort, there is one more redmane knight at the top of the fort and a trap chest that takes you to redmane castel
I can't bring myself to kill the poor girl for the blue silver set. She's been through enough. I know it's silly to suffer so an npc doesn't have to die, but that's roleplay baby
The altered banished knight helm doesn't just drop from the knight outside the church in stormveil, I got mine from the Halbert weilding one by the mimic veil

Not to be "that guy", but I've gotten the Banished Knight helm (the one without the wrap) from all the other Banished knights in Stormvale Castle at some point or another. The only difference I've found in what they can drop, is their weapon / shield (they have to wield that item to drop it). Same with the Banished Knights found in Faram Azula. Now I think you ARE correct about only being able to get the helm with the wrap from the Kights near the Dragon Temple in Calid.
The helm without the wrap definitely drops in Farum Azula, I just got one the other day Terrible spot to farm considering the relative toughness of the enemies, though
330.5 hours in the game and still finding bosses I missed. I missed the Caelid bell bearing hunter. I'm pretty sure I have them all now. I'm only missing 2 puppets, and weapons and armor you need to farm for. So I gotta have close to them all, if not all, by now. I have every other item in the game other than what I already said. Just found a tower I missed in the weeping peninsula yesterday. Great game, bravo devs and team.

FYI, "Guillemot," at least according to Google, is pronounced like *GI* • luh • maat, with a soft /g/ at the start (like the /g/ in "guy", as opposed to the hard G's /J/ sound like in "George".) Also *GILL* • luh • mott is so close that it's almost indistinguishable from the actual pronunciation.
Hey Dom, I have an idea for a video that would be of use, and I can't find anyone else who's done it yet. A video of all the invisible glowing trail scarab locations. The only thing I've found thus far is a list of where they are, without even showing the locations, just saying where they are. I didn't search the hardest on web pages, but I did search harder on TH-cam and haven't found any videos other than some single locations of them. There's definitely other people searching for it I have. I know you probably went through them on your "things you missed," but not everyone is going to watch those whole videos when they only need one thing out of the video. You could probably get a good amount of views from one that's specifically those locations alone. I'm still missing 3, I have the general locations and am looking for them now, but I would have rather watched a video of yours than searching like this for these last 3. I believe there's 7 in total?
Update: I believe I got them all, at least all of them on the list I found online. Wasn't too tough using the list, but it would have been much easier with a video than just a general location area. Plus, I'd trust one of your videos that I got them all over the list I found online. I'm also not completely positive I got the last one on the list. It says it's on the top of the tallest rock pillar east of Ordina, but that was just a scarab on top of a rock. Not an invisible scarab with a glowing trail like the rest of them. So either whomever put that list together added one in that doesn't really fit the category, or I'm missing one over there that I couldn't find. I'm assuming the former because I searched that whole area very thoroughly, but you never know.
Actually, i got a banished knight helm unaltered in stormvile so one of those guys drops it, not sure which one. It definitely was to heavy for me at the time but i remember looking forward to eventually wearing it, because the scarf thing looked kinda cool.
Blue silver armor and magma blade both took me over 2 hours with 99 arcane, the helm, the talisman. I STILL haven’t got the red mane knight helm and boots. Got like 30 albinauric bows before the blue silver chest lol.
Good luck with the red mane armor it’s somehow the hardest for me even with max discovery… And in my NG+ I get a magma blade drop with like 9 arcane just questing lol smh
Instead of killing yourself and reserrecting at the site of grace for the red mane knight. Fast travel to the site of grace next to the bridge and tower. You can harvest the pengiunes for silver fowle feet... When you sprint past all the dogs and spiders fighting... When they kill each other you get their runes also... It takes maybe a mineut longer to ride to the knight... But you get bonuses!
I think the thing I hate the most about Elden Ring's farming system is that the silver scarab is located all the way in the start of the consecrated snowfield, that too on invisible platforms behind a false wall. Like I don't want to go through 90% of the game before getting a good enough drop rate for the armor or weapons that I want to farm, since I want to play the game with the armor or weapon.
I'm finding my armor set means very little to my style of playing so I've just been changing them for fashion reasons. I do wear little red riding hood for some extra vitality.
I didn't realize the Redmane knight set was rare, I literally have had the whole set shield and all for a while. That spot in general is a good spot, you get about 7k runes just running around
I did some "almost" AFK rune farming there for a bit. Had some work to do, so just set up my computer in the basement and stood on the rocks. when the fights were over, I just ran back to the grace and reloaded the area, then went back to work. Each battle takes several minutes, and you can pick off the weaker enemies with long range attacks from relative safety. Then when just a few are left (if you're strong enough), just go clean them up if you're being more active in the farming to get all the runes. If the spawns work in your favor, the Rotten Strays will also kill the Redmane Knight even and do the equipment farming for you.
@@joshedenfield3761 absolutely! I was tracking time but since I couldn’t actively play at the time it didn’t matter. Ended up with almost 100k runes by the time I finished with that little bit of work. And it’s nice cause it’s relatively risk-free.
Just got all the Black Flame pieces last night finally. I am terrible at feeling like I'm "wasting" items (and haven't nabbed the Silver Scarab Talisman yet), so, like the idiot I am, I refuse to use the Silver Fow's Foot items. So yeah, this took me like an hour and a half to get all the pieces to drop.
Im on my first playthrough and got the redmane armor. I didnt know it was rare. Its over 10 pounds so untill i leveled endurance it put me in heavy, so i only used it for necessary places. But ive been wearing it now a while because all the other armor that looks good has no protection. The redmane looks awesome, and the only thing that goes with my stupid cat imp head ive had to wear forever too. Lol. Im int/ dex build, only just got past stormvail, and was wondering why all the armor ive gotten so far sucks. Out of 15 different chest peices, that redmanes i found way early in the game is still the best and best looking so far. Just weighs a lot with the cat head too. Over 18 pounds together
Not that I like wasting larval tears but the easiest time I had farming this stuff was to switch to an arcane build but that may be silly for most people

Just to be clear, 99 in arcane is just 199% discovery (100 base and 99 in points). If drop chance is 0,5% you just boost it to 1%,

There is a Redmane west of the Fingerreader near the Caelem Ruins. That one is easy to farm as well.
10:54 The helm actually looks pretty decent with most knight sets, I'm using it with the Bloodhound set for an executioner theme

Dom, the silver tear mask also raises your arcane by quite a bit. Combined with all the other buffs you should be golden. Or silver I guess.

Oof. I managed to collect all these except Latennas set & Erdtree bloom just by playing through my first time. No idea they were rare!

Black flame monk set is better farmed at base of Divine Tower in Caelid, before Godskin boss room. He is metres away from site of grace.
quicker walk, but you can backstab the one in volcano manor, which makes the fight easier. I can see either one being "correct"

I got 2 pieces of Black Flame I use with whatever chestpiece (usually Scaled) and generally no helm to make room for more kill

I'm still missing 3, I have the general locations and am looking for them now, but I would have rather watched a video of yours than searching like this for these last 3. I believe there's 7 in total?
Update: I believe I got them all, at least all of them on the list I found online. Wasn't too tough using the list, but it would have been much easier with a video than just a general location area. Plus, I'd trust one of your videos that I got them all over the list I found online. I'm also not completely positive I got the last one on the list. It says it's on the top of the tallest rock pillar east of Ordina, but that was just a scarab on top of a rock. Not an invisible scarab with a glowing trail like the rest of them. So either whomever put that list together added one in that doesn't really fit the category, or I'm missing one over there that I couldn't find. I'm assuming the former because I searched that whole area very thoroughly, but you never know.

You can get the red mane set in the catacombs in Altus
You can also wear a helmet to increase your arcane. It’s a solid round looking helmet. The name of it slips my mind at the moment.
Is it the silver tear helmet?

Silver tear mask & marikas soreseal, in combination with the silver scarab & silver pickled fowl foot is the way.
Imp head (tongue) and Imp head (fang) is kind of a HELL to get either

One dropped for me in Stormveil castle. Kill the knights on the upper ramparts. The knight is along the back rampart along with another knight.
Pretty sure I got an altered banished knight helm from one of the Castle Sol knights.

You can just kill Diallos in the lakes of lernia where he discovers his dead friend and get the helm. Much quicker and alot easier.

If you want an unaltered banished helm early, there are two knights that have it in stormveil.

Actually, i got a banished knight helm unaltered in stormvile so one of those guys drops it, not sure which one. It definitely was to heavy for me at the time but i remember looking forward to eventually wearing it, because the scarf thing looked kinda cool.
Banished knight armor unaltered helm can be farmed in Dtormveil
Blue silver armor and magma blade both took me over 2 hours with 99 arcane, the helm, the talisman.
I STILL haven’t got the red mane knight helm and boots.
Got like 30 albinauric bows before the blue silver chest lol.
Good luck with the red mane armor it’s somehow the hardest for me even with max discovery…
And in my NG+ I get a magma blade drop with like 9 arcane just questing lol smh

Instead of killing yourself and reserrecting at the site of grace for the red mane knight.
Fast travel to the site of grace next to the bridge and tower.
You can harvest the pengiunes for silver fowle feet...
When you sprint past all the dogs and spiders fighting... When they kill each other you get their runes also... It takes maybe a mineut longer to ride to the knight... But you get bonuses!
A year later and still learning new things in Elden Ring. I'll be going after that high Paige set.
I'm so lucky that I got the black flame chest and gauntlets already. Now just gotta finish it
I think the thing I hate the most about Elden Ring's farming system is that the silver scarab is located all the way in the start of the consecrated snowfield, that too on invisible platforms behind a false wall.
Like I don't want to go through 90% of the game before getting a good enough drop rate for the armor or weapons that I want to farm, since I want to play the game with the armor or weapon.
9:06 i got in a little over 5 minutes with 10 arc no foul foot or scarab :)
The farm on the lithurgical town is easy if you use the sacred relic sword my man

I'm finding my armor set means very little to my style of playing so I've just been changing them for fashion reasons. I do wear little red riding hood for some extra vitality.
I didn't realize the Redmane knight set was rare, I literally have had the whole set shield and all for a while. That spot in general is a good spot, you get about 7k runes just running around
I did some "almost" AFK rune farming there for a bit. Had some work to do, so just set up my computer in the basement and stood on the rocks. when the fights were over, I just ran back to the grace and reloaded the area, then went back to work. Each battle takes several minutes, and you can pick off the weaker enemies with long range attacks from relative safety. Then when just a few are left (if you're strong enough), just go clean them up if you're being more active in the farming to get all the runes. If the spawns work in your favor, the Rotten Strays will also kill the Redmane Knight even and do the equipment farming for you.

@@joshedenfield3761 absolutely! I was tracking time but since I couldn’t actively play at the time it didn’t matter. Ended up with almost 100k runes by the time I finished with that little bit of work. And it’s nice cause it’s relatively risk-free.

Just got all the Black Flame pieces last night finally. I am terrible at feeling like I'm "wasting" items (and haven't nabbed the Silver Scarab Talisman yet), so, like the idiot I am, I refuse to use the Silver Fow's Foot items. So yeah, this took me like an hour and a half to get all the pieces to drop.
I killed *cough I meant found* dialoss at the lake. He was nice enough to give me his helmet. 😅 No quest needed.
Im on my first playthrough and got the redmane armor. I didnt know it was rare. Its over 10 pounds so untill i leveled endurance it put me in heavy, so i only used it for necessary places. But ive been wearing it now a while because all the other armor that looks good has no protection. The redmane looks awesome, and the only thing that goes with my stupid cat imp head ive had to wear forever too. Lol.
Im int/ dex build, only just got past stormvail, and was wondering why all the armor ive gotten so far sucks. Out of 15 different chest peices, that redmanes i found way early in the game is still the best and best looking so far. Just weighs a lot with the cat head too. Over 18 pounds together
I don't mind farming enemies, especially the tougher ones. It makes you better.
What armor was that when you were showcasing the octopus helm?
Not that I like wasting larval tears but the easiest time I had farming this stuff was to switch to an arcane build but that may be silly for most people

Yes but itss a regular partisan, no flame attributes. I farmed him for 2 days til I got it n figured it out unfortunately
