    Thanks for taking us on your journey! I think that's a great setup! I like having my radio on my plate carrier, it makes it a little easier for me to get untangled. There are quick release cables that negate the problem, but those are out of my price range. Excellent video! Got the noti bell rung!

    Nice lay out and shooters belt. I wouldn't use taco stuff that string fails then your stuff will fall apart. Our Police Dept. Uses Safariland Sam brown duty belts in plane black or basket weave. For SWAT we use Condor tactical belts with the Cobra belt buckle! No tacos just nylon. Our Chief is old school! When I was in the Marines 1987-1991 we used Allis gear with 1967 1970 Vietnam era gear. Nice range belt!!!!!

    The safariland ubl I believe (universal belt loop), with the qls mounted to it. I use the high and medium UBLs depending on whether I train appendix or 3 o'clock draw. Love the safariland stuff. I use their competition belt as my battle belt. They have a great system similar to the qls, but for accessories.

    Mount your tourniquet on the belt with a tourniquet pouch. The time it takes to rip away your IFAK med pouch, unzip it, and get your tourniquet out, most likely with bloody hands slipping on the zipper, and you'll be out of time.
    Mount the tourniquet on either side of your IFAK med pouch in a pouch that allows you to rip it out quickly.
    Practice so that you can get the TQ out and onto your leg or arm in about 25 seconds.
    I would also add a small "get off me knife" like a Ka-bar TDI Law enforcement blade that comes with its own sheath that you can easily mount to the belt up front next to the buckle on the first molle spot.

    That holster is a no go for a battle belt, range belt ok. That's all. If your plans are only and forever on the range then great. If you think your sidearm will stick around long in the field with that holster it wont be. You will lose the pistol. Seen it happen many times and some people went tracking back to never find it again...

    You should throw on a pouch for a handheld light. Condor makes a single mag pouch that fits smaller lights. Streamlight also has cheap holsters/pouches that come with a good amount of their smaller lights (such as the protac). If you don't care about looks, they get the job done.

    I was a Marine and now a police officer for 24 years now. I'm on our SWAT TEAM to. That's not a battle holster that is a competition holster for range to. If you use a battle belt then use a 6360 triple retention holster. I have that holster on my SWAT Condor elite Tactical belt. I have the 2nd holster on my patrol belt. My combat belt has the same holster to! Nice range belt setup and competition belt. Good video.

    Large padded belts like this are good for running over multiple layers of clothing, but definitely rigid two piece belts with Velcro liners are far better overall as they do a better job of staying in place and distributing weight evenly across you waist. A radio pouch on a belt is going to be very bulky and a lot of weight hanging off the belt. I know you mentioned a possible chest rig or plate carrier in the future and that is definitely a far better choice when you start implementing more gear such as radios or even other tools like navigation. Condor gear overall is kind of meh but it does allow you to cheaply see what you do and don't like about a belt setup

    • @Zaevia
      @Zaevia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can run a Velcro with this belt.

    @ErgonomicChair 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    lol... all 2 piece belts come as one piece ya goof!\
    I'd hoenstly say ditch condor typically... the laser stuff eventually wears out pretty badly and replacing condor with good stuff later always runs a bit more expensive. But definitely, there's a learning curve with belts. But that's the same with all gear you kind of have to try it to learn it. I am partial to Blue Alpha Molle double belt set up, or the Grey Ghost UGF. You should experiment with mid-ride, once you go mid you never go back.
    If you want to not have to tighten the T-rex holsters just apply a little bit of Blue 242 on them.
    Oh another tip have the curve of any M4 mag you put to your left side facing backwards, that way you put your fingers on your back side, grip, and when your straighten your hand your mag is ready to insert.

    I prefer the Safariland 6378 over the 6378 if I run Safariland. My go to though has been the Blackhawk T-Series L3D RDS. Very intuitive release for the hood and locking systems. If I run a level 1 I like T-Rex Ragnarok or Werkz holsters. Nothing wrong with the Condor belt. It’ll hold your gear just fine.

    Civilians are funny as hell. That is a range belt set up only! Not screwing around in the back 40 fella! For outside I use 2 nylon closed M16 Allis mag pouchess for my M-4 Carbine. My closed M-12 double mag pouch for my pistol and my field first aid kit it molly's to my Condor TATICAL Elite belt. If you go around outside with open mag holders by by green back! Your TATICAL first aid kit would fall off the first time a tree branch rips it off by by green back! A dumb pouch carries my food while hunting, Hiking or just targeting shooting. I have my plastic canteens with my steal USMC cup that is inside the canteen pouch. I purchased a set of military suspenders with the shoulder straps. I included a what we call a butt pack or rook sack! My compass pouch is on the left front strap and my MARINE K-Bar is on the right front strap. You could use a military Bianchi closed M12 field holster. You could Also use a closed TATICAL leg nylon holster but they rip! I use my low ride holster paddle system. It has the SLS KIT that would be the fork system like on my Police duty belt! I use my Safariland Basket weave 6360 tripple retention holster on my holster paddle! That's the way to go out in the back 40! HOORAH!
