I think Ruth’s story is a Biblical Cinderella. A girl who was possibly hated and bullied by her Moabite countrymen for marrying an Israelite leaves after he dies with her sweet mother-in-law for poverty and is most likely disliked by Israelite neighbors for being from a pagan nation. Then after a situation involving bare feet, marries a wealthy man who isn’t a prince, but princes and kings are descended from them both.
