My husband and I also separated when my son was 1 month. I moved back in with my parents, and honestly my relationship with baby’s father has improved my son is now 6 months and im so thankful that im now in a happy positive environment with my family. My son is so loved and im a better mom because of if. Please know your not alone and remember to let go of things you cannot control. I got divorced when my first daughter was one, so I completely understand at least some of what you’re going through. It was the best decision I’ve ever made, as I met my true soulmate a couple of months later, and we’ve now been together for 15 years (and we have a daughter now too). You have to listen to your intuition girl, it will never lead you astray. That being said, I’m so sorry you have so much on your plate, that is not an easy situation for anyone. Girl I’m so emotional watching this. We had our girls the same week, same exact weight, and now I realize our lives completely changed due to splitting with their dads AT THE SAME TIME. I’m fortunate enough that my mom took us in, I know having her 27 year old daughter and new granddaughter wasn’t ideal for her, but it worked out and I have a home. To hear that this worked out so well for you makes my heart soar for you. What a rollercoaster and to feel you are on the right path is amazing!!! You are such a great mama and I love your videos. Prayers for you and arrow during this transition time. I know how hard it is to do with a baby. I have a 5 month old and was diagnosed with cancer during my pregnancy. I went through treatment during pregnancy and after. My husband was so so supportive during the first treatment. When it came time for my 2nd treatment something shifted in him. I am back home with my family and my son. Finished my 2nd treatment and now trying to figure out life after. God made us women so strong that we can make it through almost anything. We got this girl.
Yep, no one was here for him. He didn't really add anything to her videos and I feel like half the time he was acting like a child knowing that they were about to have one of their own.
From childhood experience, it's better for a single mom to do her absolute best for her child than to try and navigate a not so good relationship that might affect what examples the child grows into. I saw my sister struggle A LOT with wanting her partner to be more involved and to this day its still not equal (in the slightest) so I believe you'll do your best and Arrow will be just fine. Stay dedicated, you can do this.

I found her on TH-cam from her birth vlog and I could not get over how little he supported her during the birth. I could tell then and there that he was nor feeling what was happening and my heart broke for her that she basically had to birth by herself even though he was technically by her side

Last week I had to move all by myself with my 3 month old. One of the hardest times of my life! My boyfriend and I had split when I was 7 months pregnant so I’ve been doing this single mom thing.. it’s hard but we are strong and capable! You got this!

@@irene9062 Whether or not she asked him to film, he was making stupid faces into the camera, saying and doing nothing to offer her support or comfort, and for the most part just stood by like a little boy. I don't care how harsh that sounds, he was being immature and unsupportive and I'm not surprised that nothing about that changed after he became a father. Honestly, I don't think men who act like that are truly fathers at all.
I completely agree. It seemed like he barely put in any effort to care for her and constantly let Brittany or made Brittany pull most of the weight in caring for Arrow and that really sucked to watch. Maybe he put in more effort behind the scenes. But my gut feeling is that that we saw him acting that way and barely putting in effort, then it was probably even worse behind the scenes because people tend to put their best foot forward when on TH-cam

I love how open you are. My ex and I separated when my daughter was 17 months. I met my current boyfriend a month later, I know crazy definitely not planned but everything has worked out. I am a New subscriber as I typically don’t watch vloggers but I am currently 19 weeks pregnant and have been looking for new moms advice on “must haves” and what not as I am totally lost in the sauce. I really gravitated towards your personality and binged watch your videos and notice your husband seemed very distant from your experience with birth and as new parents. I obviously hadn’t watched a lot of your content so I chalked this up to “probably being his personality” but I did notice it from the start. I then saw this video and everything made sense. I think you are such a wise and positive woman and giving a great example for your daughter.
I just watched 4 minutes of your hubby and you Q&A video and my heart broke from what your husband was saying about the connection with arrow and the way he felt as a parent. I think he was suffering from postpartum, you know that men can get it too. I am glad you are being so mature about it, best of luck to the both of you.
I have heard that fathers have a harder time/take longer to form that bond with their children. It's so unfortunate that it seemed (on video) that he wasn't trying to fix it. And that's no hate at all. I'm sure he loves her very much. But it felt like he just let Brittany do everything, so it's natural that if he's not pulling any of the weight, he wouldn't be getting any of that connection of helping provide care to his child. I hope they both do better now from this separation and I hope he is able to form more of a connection and provide more care for Arrow
I went through a separation last year, it wasn’t easy but it gets easier but it not linear so just stay strong. Stand your ground and do what’s best for you because at the end of the day when you are comfortable so is Arrow. Sending love with all my heart I am. A year has passed and haven’t regretted it at all. You’re doing great love.

hot4fi One day my husband had really terrible food poisoning and everything was shooting out both ends. I had no choice but to get him to sit in an empty bath while I hosed him down continuously until it passed. The point is...farting in front of people you love shouldn't be a big deal because, fuck...you're gonna go through some shit together in life and it isn't going to be pretty.

My husband and I also separated when my son was 1 month. I moved back in with my parents, and honestly my relationship with baby’s father has improved my son is now 6 months and im so thankful that im now in a happy positive environment with my family. My son is so loved and im a better mom because of if. Please know your not alone and remember to let go of things you cannot control. I got divorced when my first daughter was one, so I completely understand at least some of what you’re going through. It was the best decision I’ve ever made, as I met my true soulmate a couple of months later, and we’ve now been together for 15 years (and we have a daughter now too). You have to listen to your intuition girl, it will never lead you astray. That being said, I’m so sorry you have so much on your plate, that is not an easy situation for anyone. Looking back there were definitely moments where he seemed very disconnected. Like even when she tried to do matching outfits he seemed so annoyed. I’m glad you’re handling everything so well. Arrow is so blessed to have such a strong mother and role model 💖

Girl I’m so emotional watching this. We had our girls the same week, same exact weight, and now I realize our lives completely changed due to splitting with their dads AT THE SAME TIME. I’m fortunate enough that my mom took us in, I know having her 27 year old daughter and new granddaughter wasn’t ideal for her, but it worked out and I have a home. To hear that this worked out so well for you makes my heart soar for you. What a rollercoaster and to feel you are on the right path is amazing!!! You are such a great mama and I love your videos. Prayers for you and arrow during this transition time. I know how hard it is to do with a baby. I have a 5 month old and was diagnosed with cancer during my pregnancy. I went through treatment during pregnancy and after. My husband was so so supportive during the first treatment. When it came time for my 2nd treatment something shifted in him. I am back home with my family and my son. Finished my 2nd treatment and now trying to figure out life after. God made us women so strong that we can make it through almost anything. We got this girl.

Yep, no one was here for him. He didn't really add anything to her videos and I feel like half the time he was acting like a child knowing that they were about to have one of their own.
From childhood experience, it's better for a single mom to do her absolute best for her child than to try and navigate a not so good relationship that might affect what examples the child grows into. I saw my sister struggle A LOT with wanting her partner to be more involved and to this day its still not equal (in the slightest) so I believe you'll do your best and Arrow will be just fine. Stay dedicated, you can do this.

I found her on TH-cam from her birth vlog and I could not get over how little he supported her during the birth. I could tell then and there that he was nor feeling what was happening and my heart broke for her that she basically had to birth by herself even though he was technically by her side

We co parent extremely well and our daughter is much happier having two Happy parents that are not together versus us together in an unhappy home. It will be easier somedays and some not so much. @@irene9062 Whether or not she asked him to film, he was making stupid faces into the camera, saying and doing nothing to offer her support or comfort, and for the most part just stood by like a little boy. I don't care how harsh that sounds, he was being immature and unsupportive and I'm not surprised that nothing about that changed after he became a father. Honestly, I don't think men who act like that are truly fathers at all.
I completely agree. It seemed like he barely put in any effort to care for her and constantly let Brittany or made Brittany pull most of the weight in caring for Arrow and that really sucked to watch. Maybe he put in more effort behind the scenes. But my gut feeling is that that we saw him acting that way and barely putting in effort, then it was probably even worse behind the scenes because people tend to put their best foot forward when on TH-cam

I love how open you are. My ex and I separated when my daughter was 17 months. I met my current boyfriend a month later, I know crazy definitely not planned but everything has worked out. I now have a 3 month old daughter with him and we’re super happy. I’m still going through a divorce, almost done.

I am a New subscriber as I typically don’t watch vloggers but I am currently 19 weeks pregnant and have been looking for new moms advice on “must haves” and what not as I am totally lost in the sauce. I really gravitated towards your personality and binged watch your videos and notice your husband seemed very distant from your experience with birth and as new parents. I obviously hadn’t watched a lot of your content so I chalked this up to “probably being his personality” but I did notice it from the start. I then saw this video and everything made sense. I think you are such a wise and positive woman and giving a great example for your daughter.
I just watched 4 minutes of your hubby and you Q&A video and my heart broke from what your husband was saying about the connection with arrow and the way he felt as a parent. I think he was suffering from postpartum, you know that men can get it too. I am glad you are being so mature about it, best of luck to the both of you.
I have heard that fathers have a harder time/take longer to form that bond with their children. It's so unfortunate that it seemed (on video) that he wasn't trying to fix it. And that's no hate at all. I'm sure he loves her very much. But it felt like he just let Brittany do everything, so it's natural that if he's not pulling any of the weight, he wouldn't be getting any of that connection of helping provide care to his child. I hope they both do better now from this separation and I hope he is able to form more of a connection and provide more care for Arrow
I went through a separation last year, it wasn’t easy but it gets easier but it not linear so just stay strong. Stand your ground and do what’s best for you because at the end of the day when you are comfortable so is Arrow. Sending love with all my heart I am. A year has passed and haven’t regretted it at all. You’re doing great love.

hot4fi One day my husband had really terrible food poisoning and everything was shooting out both ends. I had no choice but to get him to sit in an empty bath while I hosed him down continuously until it passed. The point is...farting in front of people you love shouldn't be a big deal because, fuck...you're gonna go through some shit together in life and it isn't going to be pretty.

I don’t think people say it with malice. Just pointing out that his disinterest and lack of support has been observed from an outside, third-party perspective. For all you know, her hearing that might be helpful for her.

@@DiplomatsDaughter22 whether or not they say it with malice, it is pretty disrespectful to say and doesn’t really offer anything to her. it’s essentially like saying “I told you so” when someone makes a mistake.
Girl, you’re very strong. Especially to be public with all of this. I went with my mom everywhere when she went through her divorce. It was tough, I was really young, but I’ve always supported her. She was nearly completely alone, and went through a lot but we were both strong together. Thank you for all your videos both personal and informative. It makes everything so real.
