i was at the point of throwing away my notebooks after getting discouraged for not having a college degree and settling. imposter syndrome has struck me hard and this roadmap solidified my belief in myself. I too have only been learning for intensely for a few months and thought it wasn’t enough time to have credibility. Today I officially finished designing and developing my website. I’m so thankful for people like you, Rachel for making this type of knowledge accessible for people in my situation. To anyone on the fence as I have been for the past few months, please please please do not give up. Even small steps every day will add up, keep track of your learning in case you start to doubt yourself so you have something to look back on to realize how far you’ve come. I believe in you and i believe in me and i believe in us!!!

This is literally a gold of a video, since i’ve watched this video I’ve been following this exact methodology to self learn UX with little experience and I have landed a UX job at a big consulting firm in 2 months.
Thank you so much for making UX so accessible!! I have been struggling so much with money I had no funds to attend bootcamps and this pushed me to go forward and just be confident with the information I absorb! I absolutely love your channel please keep making content like this 🤧💛

This is the best video ever. I've been in this tough place for the last few years of wanting to pursue this career, but not feeling like I have the skills or ability to handle it. I already have tons of visual design skills, some program knowledge, and some experience building mock websites for fun, but still never believed in myself. While I have a lot of work to do on everything else, this made me want to commit to making this my career. I'm still stuck on where to go from here, but this helped a lot.

Your videos are so helpful and encouraging, thank you! I’m looking to make the switch to UI/UX after being in digital marketing + graphic design roles and it’s always intrigued me! I moved abroad and it’s been quite difficult to get into my fields without being fluent in the native language (German 😮‍💨). Please people running away from boot camps promising jobs in 3months or 6 months after the course, they've no link with the companies, you will be doing courses that doesn't give you real world problem to solve after paying hug amount of money, especially if you are new to tech industry😢it won't help you. Have learnt my lesson in the hard way.😢

Thanks for this on Rachel. I just began my UI/UX journey 5 days ago and I know next to Jack. So this video is of great help 'cos flying without a roadmap or an organized way of learning is stressful.

Hey that's a very nice and informative video. Wish I had the money to buy the roadmap, but it's all good. You're awesome!

I just want to say I'm so happy I stumbled upon you. I'm a neurodivergent/adhd mom making a drastic career change now that my daughter is in University. Working in finance/healthcare admin never felt natural, it was always a struggle. I'm naturally an aesthetic person and love technology, ... but I'm not the most technical person .... Yet I'm still very interested in becoming a UI/UX designer! You seem like a younger, more focused version of me which inspires me! LOL. I've subscribed to you on youtube and your website. THANK YOU! 🤗

Hello. I'm a front end developer and now I'm working on a project based on car sales, I do the front end and my friend does the backend of the site, just because we need a designer to help us make the pages more beautiful. If you have the desire to help us with this project that can be a start up for you and once in the future this project will also bring us money, leave a reply please

Got the roadmap! I am self-teaching myself in UX field as well and was overwhelmed by how diversified the skill set is. This comes at a good timing to assess my efforts. Thanks for the great content as usual! :)
