As a begginer level UI/UX designer, the things you described are really really helpful. I did the same mistake of directly moving towards UX rather then focusing on UI but when I came into game, I realized UI and UX are both parellerly important. Thanks for uploading such a valuable content Aliena!
Hi @Aliena Cai I just wanted to take a moment to say that I’m a huge fan of yours! I started my UX/UI design journey about a year ago, and your content and videos have been a huge part of my progress. I began by learning UI design, and I’m proud to say I’ve now completed that stage and am transitioning into UX. I’m even working toward a Google certification now! You won’t believe this, but I’ve completed three projects during this time, all by following your tutorials and guidance. You are truly a role model for me. While I’ve been a silent supporter and haven't commented much on your videos, I wanted to reach out and express my gratitude now. Thank you so much for your incredible content and support they’ve made a difference in my learning journey!🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This video is very helpful. And surprisingly, accountability is something very few people tell you about when giving information about design learning and such. This is personally the biggest issue I face. In my self learning journey, my biggest set back has been lack of accountability and it can very quickly pile up and become a roadblock that confuses the heck out of you! So glad you included this crucial point in your video.
Got a lot of valuable insight from this and your other videos. Being at a transitioning point in work/life right now, UX design may not be the best fit for me, i was looking into UI design career options and courses when i found these. But still actually gaining important knowledge i need to keep in mind about networking and life in general. Thanks for making these!
I’m a graphic design graduate since 2023 and have had a difficult time finding work, so I’m going into the UX/UI field and doing the google certification program this year!
Hi, I noticed a simple trick you can use to make your videos better, it many editing software’s there’s something called “enhance audio”, it clears up the air around you, makes your voice much smoother
I just started this with a bachelor's degree at asu, UNTIL NOW I finally feel like I know what skills I need to enhance to do well in this field! thank you so much for quickly and eloquently explaining everything!
You are amazing ❤ You left China, learned so much and are giving it back to strangers. Good things will come to you ❤Thank you so much for your incredible video and I will enjoy the others as well 🙏🏻
I love the straight up talk. This isn't the regular talk. This is the goal getter talk. The title is whatever your company wants it to be, this got me 🤣😅😅😅
First timer here, and I must say how amazing you are, Aliana. Even though I had just UI design alone in mind, I decided to stay back and watch till the end and I learnt a lot. Thank you so much! I don't know if there''s anyone reading this who would like to pair up and let's become accountability partners. I just started and I hope to grow with a like minded person too. 🙌
Practical and authentic content as always and just getting better. I'm so thankful my friend introduced me to your channel 1 year ago, my UX game has been much stronger since. Hope you're thriving with your business 🧡
I just finished a boot camp. It was very cookie cutter. I learned a lot more on my own via TH-cam. You also have to actually enjoy design. Even through the boring parts.
The title of UX designer vs Product Designer is wrong. UX Designer is a specialist, while a Product Designer is fullstack designer. They are not the same.
Great video, thank you! I’m currently studying UX/UI design and looking for a study buddy to support and learn together. If you’re also a beginner and want to share the journey (and challenges), let me know!
This learning pathway breakdown is STUPID valuable!!! Thank you so much for clearly outlining the steps and skills. Great tips… I’ve been floundering a little bit in my self-study and this has really helped me see a clear direction. I do wish you elaborated more on the use of AI , but this is nota criticism, it’s only because the other information you gave was so valuable that I am curious how you recommend using it in one’s workflow! 👏👏👏👏👏 thank you so much Aliena you rule
Thank you Aliena, I am looking to learn UI/UX and this video will be helpful with the tips you have shared, I actually never taught about replicating products that are out there in the world, it was a serious eye opener when you mentioned it. I only thought of replicating dribbble designs, but replicating real world products is a more effective strategy.

Hi Aliena! I find your videos very helpful and I watch almost all of them, so thank you. I just wonder though, how do you TRUELY see the future of being Product Designer in the long term and also the situation of current market globally? I just started this journey for myself and want to know if it's worth it from your sincere point of view. Thank you and good luck.
Thank you so much! ❤ This is really helpful. I'm currently on course 3 of the Google UX course, and I've been considering taking a UI course to make things easier for me. Could you please recommend a good UI course?
I am an introvert, however may i request you to elaborate a little more on the reason to the learning/understanding UI foundation before or during the UX researcher course from lets say google as a beginner, please?
Ui design is the actual designing of say websites, apps etc Ux design focuses on the overall feel of the design...basically how to make the user enjoy the product
Thank you for those valuable tips Aliena! I have a question regarding the tracing advice, where do you get the assets from? I know there's places like Google materials, but I mean in the case of TH-cam where'd you get their systems icons?
Hey guys! I need your help. I'm slowly learning about UX/UI. Currently, my university degree is more focused on economics, administration, systems, and software, but to be honest, I'm not really into that. I want to learn UX/UI, I want to work in this field. Can someone recommend a bootcamp or course I could take? Or maybe a book, TH-camr, or any resource? I just need information. And yes, I know practice is key, so I've started using Figma. Thanks a lot, and have a great day!
If you are beginner, check out this free playlist first: th-cam.com/video/D4NyQ5iOMF0/w-d-xo.html If you can follow most of it, I definitely recommend going deeper with my course: fasttrackux.com/ Hope this helps :)
Heyyyy I'd suggest you to take this free course of mine: th-cam.com/video/D4NyQ5iOMF0/w-d-xo.html Thanks for expressing your interest to my course ❤️ And I'm sure in 3 years you'll be in a place where you don't have to stress about income ever again 🤝 We've all been there.
i like your content but please don’t say stuff like “let the ocd inside you take over” bc that’s really not how ocd works! this is coming from someone whose ocd actively derails their creativity. it’s not fun :/

Hi just an update for all, the UX/UI Job market is completely broken.
🥲🥲 Junior market has been tough since the day I entered the field.
I am an introvert, however may i request you to elaborate a little more on the reason to the learning/understanding UI foundation before or during the UX researcher course from lets say google as a beginner, please?
I have a question please answer me
What the different between ui & ux
Ui design is the actual designing of say websites, apps etc
Ux design focuses on the overall feel of the design...basically how to make the user enjoy the product

what are some good sites to use for networking i live in a smaller town and theres no events ever being held where i live in canada
I often use eventbrite and meetup. If there's not a lot of networking happening in your town, consider register for more online events too 👍
I want to upskill. Do you provide any mentorship. Would love to hear from you. Thanks in advance
Hi how I can take a course from you, thank you

Unfortunately, there's no such thing as UX/UI (or UI/UX). Planting that seed in a new person's mind is unethical.
What do you mean?
What do you actually mean by that?
All you have to do is a simple job search and you can tell this guy is just yapping.
