Even though it was probably just created as a fun reference/idea, the Maulkiller appearance from Force Unleashed 2 has Lore which I think was canon prior to the Disney takeover which established that Vader attempted to create a clone that was half Darth Maul and half Galen Marek... as expected the clone went very insane.
Then there was the joke story by Timothy Zahn written for the end of Legends, saying the original Luke Skywalker was who was killed by Mara in "The Last Command", Luuke had taken his place this whole time, and a bunch of other characters had been cloned, some numerous times :D
The dantoine darth Vader clone is the one I find the most insane. Theoretically those machine should've been able to create an undamaged body of anakin but they went the extra mile of replicating the cybernetics too. Like what kinda horrific turn of events was that? Do you think they just cloned the body without limbs and organs? Or was the clone completed fully and they damaged it afterwards to for the look? Perhaps the force itself only allowed the clone to be as complete as the true sith lord was and withered away otherwise. Food for thought...
I feel like rather than doing that it's just a normal looking Anakin in a Darth Vader looking suit. Cause if the armor and lightsaber are just fakes made from scrap and leftover materials then I can't see how they'd be able to make some half decent prosthetics.
@@DarkVaati13 i feel like the cybernetics would be the least complicated thing to replicate compared to the cloning part. Darth vaders cybernetics were very much outdated afterall, especially in the original eu.
@GreaterGrievobeast55 Vader is a tinkerer. Even if his prosthetics were outdated when they were implemented (a silly notion), he would have replaced, upgraded, and modified them like he did his original.
How could you forget the single greatest clone ever created, the hybrid clone of Starkiller and Maul so dangerous that Vader had it killed, Maulkiller?
Thank you for reminding us about the whole "Clones use the same name plus a vowel" thing from the Thrawn Trilogy, because I think it's important for fans to remember that this series is full of hokey 80s cheese bullshit that we *should not take seriously* and this is a *feature* not a bug. *Enjoy* the cheese, do not resist it. Edit: I choose to believe that all the nonsense around "The Community" not working or making any damned sense is that the scientists behind this project fundamentally *did not understand any of that Jedi bullshit* they were just *clueless* and operating under a false premise from day 1. It's not like Thrawn's faction of the Empire had any real experts to go to besides the notably-untrustworthy Caboth. Hell, half the scheme might've been trying to eventually replace Caboth with a corp of hopefully more stable and helpful clones. Also I respect that you got through that entire Hyperspace War subplot that I barely remembered with a straight face.
People who complain about the cheesy stuff simply don't know the power of the cheesy side. The cheesy side is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be... unnatural.
It's weirdness I can stomach and keep canonically, even if certain characters may end up lampshading it to intended obscurity. Almost the same goes for the Devilworlds stuff. Nonsense like the Jedi Prince stuff, most of the Marvel 1977 comics, and the Denning-verse, on the other hand...
The deal with the Community relates to what Corey said early in the video, about how Force Sensitive clones share a Force connection to the original. So any clones of Jedi or Sith will naturally be drawn more towards the light or dark sides of the Force, notwithstanding psychosis. So the idea was to raise these clones in a controlled environment and try to push them more towards one way or the other, so that they could use both aspects of the Force. You'll note that most of the Jedi clones were those who's originals already had experience using the Dark Side.
I love the mentioning of Elite Squadron, I grew up with that game and I loved X2's story, additionally the story could theoretically fit into the overall Legends timeline. I'd also like to think that X2 would fill the empty spot left on Luke's Jedi council at the end of the legends novels since he was one of the New Order's earliest masters.
Wish we live in a universe where this game never existed, because Battlefront III became a reality though. Edit: Anyways, the game does contradict The Force Unleashed in some manner, considering Falon Grey's master is Rahm Kota, who notoriously doesn't believe in cloned Jedi in the latter.
@michaelandreipalon359 To be fair, Falon Grey was cloned without his knowledge and as an act of remembrance to his dead padawan Kota asked X2 to join the Rebellion. At the same time he still went on to teach clone Starkiller in the second game and as we saw plenty of force sensitive in fashion, clones did exist but often fell into psychosis. Unless I am misremembering some stuff from force unleashed.
If there were to be a Star Wars 'What if?' series, I would love there to be an episode that explores that old fan theory from the original movie that Obi-Wan (0B-1) was a Clone. The idea was that all clones in The Clone Wars were Jedi Knights.
I want one Where the senate executes order sixty five or something like the clone wars hold out faction where a large portion of the republic refused to join the empire
@@spartanx9293 If I remember correctly, Order 65 was the same as Order 66, except instead of claiming the Jedi were traitors and instructing all clones to shoot on sight, it said the Chancellor was a traitor and instructed all clones to shoot on sight. If the Senate enacted Order 65, shit would have been wrapped up pretty damn fast since Palpatine has clones stationed outside his office, and there's clones patrolling the entire planet, and lots of Star Destroyers in orbit. Doesn't matter how badass he secretly is when there's unlimited blaster bolts coming his way from every direction all at once.
Since Multiverse Theory is a thing, by all means, this better become a reality somehow. And besides, if it means having the perfect excuse to use "borrowed and imported" Zaarin-made TIE Defenders (so to differentiate from the weaker Thrawn ones from Disney Star Wars) for use as a mainline starfighter for a Multiversal defense organization that may end up keeping tabs on universes like the Gravity Falls one and the DC Animated Universe...
Kemp's books have some canonical issues, since he states that lightsabers do not have power cells and function like Frocesabers, but without the need for dipping into Rage to activate.
Cool, but they're too weird. Plus, they had the gall to severely limit the ambiguity of Jedi Academy's Jaden Korr, in a manner infamously similar to "Meetra Surik" the Jedi Exile from KotOR II.
So the clones in the EU were like clones in the Dune books but with force powers and you can have a clone alive while the original or an older clone are still alive.
Gotta admire the Dorsks. They're the closest one can get to having the endearing Star Wars equivalent of special clones still being deemed as people like Fate Testarossa, Wrong Hordak, and implyingly a bunch of characters in Macross, which include the Zentraedi alien race. Not a huge fan of those novels featuring a Light Sided human male Jaden Korr. Thank goodness they can be easily removed from the Legends canon without much headaches.
Let's be honest, Troy Denning so radically changed the personality of just about everyone post NJO, that Timothy Zahn's "An Apology" April Fools joke that they all might as well have been clones is basically the only acceptable conclusion too. Lol So add to the list: Luuuke Skywalker Maara Jade Anaakin Solo Jaacen Solo Steeern
What anyone would do so to strip away those books from the proper Legends canon, whilst slightly rewriting the Legacy comics so to remove any references of them and such.
"A level of micromanagement that would make a fast food chain blush" is the kind of line that earns a video a like.
Concurring.

This video blew my mind I knew about the clones of the old Republic Jedi, Luke and x1 and 2 but clones of a lot of Luke's Jedi order is insane to see.
13:03 Clones like Jaacen Solo?

More good reason to strip of their Legends canon status.
Damn the clones died from ligma crystals?
I loved crosscurrent and Riptide, they were weird and cool stories

Its stories like these that I prefer as simple hypotheticals. I'm just not a fan of the idea of cloning force sensitivity in general.
So the clones in the EU were like clones in the Dune books but with force powers and you can have a clone alive while the original or an older clone are still alive.
Honestly I got about halfway through Crosscurrent and stopped just cause I felt its use of clones was too ridiculous. Great video.
Where is the battle between X1 and C2 video from?
Elite Squadron, where the story is from

Does Jek-14 count?
I don't think Jek-14 is actually canon to the Legends continuity
@@tTasericisnt he mentioned in an arguably canon book?
@@k90v85 I may be wrong, but I believe that book is arguably canon to the Canon continuity, so isn't part of Legends.
He counts, but only in the LEGO alternate universes.

Obi Wan and Anakin also had clones made of themselves by the mad scientist Zeta Magnus, but they destroyed them before they could finish gestation
From SkyeWalkers?
@michaelandreipalon359 yes, I just created the wookieepedia article for them
