Id leave it alone. Thats a mint daily ripper. Add your roof rack and hitch and set it up for your paramotor and travel Wisconsin with the old lady and maverick gliding in freedom!!!
On all motor setups you can tell if there is an intake restriction by looking at the map sensor on a data log if it will go down in Kpa so if it’s sat 100kpa at 5k and then at 6k if it’s down to say 90kpa there’s a restriction
I seen more people NOT clean the fuel line they just cut and made and didn't use a filter before the the injectors and have them clog with the cuttings...Ive been watching ya for years now...doing a great job...
I’m also not a “big” K series guys. But I have seen a stock k20 (11:1) benefit greatly from using a true CAI setup (routed to driver fender well) with 3.5” piping. Even with the stock T/B. A simple port match on the I/M to a bigger T/B would also definitely help. Might be worth a shot. Seems pretty solid as is. Survived a billion dyno runs 😎
K24 loves massive 3.5” to 4” intake/ 74-90mm TB with matching IM and big tube 3” collector header…. Snake water performance sells some damn good injectors too 🫡
Finally got my set of injectors the other week, just working out bugs now. Only met one guy that talked shit about your product or videos man. I love the content and as always can't wait for more brother.
Its airflow. When it stops responding to tuning and your fueling is good, its airflow. Intake or exhaust or both. And thanks for posting these. I’m a v8 guy but am rehabbing an 09 Accord for a winter driver so learning about the K series and tuning it is interesting.
Bone stock k24 in my 03 element gained noticable pickup, fuel economy, and top end pull with a very simple intake. 3-6" stack, bigass 6" truck filter, throttlebody was cleaned up behind the butterfly and was matched with the throat on the stock manifold. Granted this element only has 145k, and the new timing chain was only BARELY smaller than the old chain, so it wasnt one of those "maintenance" power restores. I feel it was a legit bump in power. Sounds nicer too (stock exhaust)
You can get around 260 with ported RBC manifold, 70mm or bigger throttle body, 3.5" intake and full 3" exhaust with vibrant straight through muffler and if you add in some cams, drag cartel 3.2 or skunk2 tuner 2 or 3, you will see around 270+, maybe 280. That intake manifold from the rsx flows really bad, so if you want more power take it out boss.
Mo power, mo problems, 245 am daily, have fun.. wanna go to the moon drive the s2k, thank u for lookin out for us budget guys too, we dont have a lot of money but we still love out hobbies👊🏿
Intake, exhaust and throttle body are what you need but if you look inside those ports and compare them to a k20, you will see how restrictive they are. They need the k24 long runner manifold to liven that motor up. Great vlog tho. 👍❤️🇨🇦
I don't like the throttle body upgrades. They might be good if you've got ITB's, 4-to-1 race header and no cats, porting... made for WOT runs only. For street driving the factory throttle body is good.
sounds sick I have a k24 turbo eg and a k24 Integra I would eventually like to make like 260 on the Integra its quick but can also be a little faster lol
Ok makes sense you made 246 now! You will most def make at least 255 with intake manifold and tb. But some skunk 2 stage 3 will bring that thing around 290+ on e85
My Ek sedan made 260 on stock K20/k24 setup on E85 these motors love to breath investing in a bigger TB and 3.5 intake along with a big tube header will really wake this motor up.
i have a 05 jdm k24(a2) with oil pump and vtc gear. Basic bolt ons. 3" exhaust. im using the prb manifold cuz its in my crx (hood clearance) tuned it made 240/198. held tq from like 3k rpms all the way across to 8k. Anything over 8k rpms is worthless cuz the intake manifold is the restriction. from what i remember you can benefit with up to 40* on the vtc.
I agree 💯 on what u say about the people with remote tunning ..my opinion is if your goin to get a remote tune you need to be the person who put the car together or at least can do your own diagnostics so the tuner can do what he does an just tunes
How are you tapering the cam angle? Thats a huge part of the k series. K series really needs a 3 inch exhaust. Its been proven even on a stock engine 3inch exhaust really lets it flow better. 3.5 cia set up front works amazing as well. I make 282 on my krx with a stock block k24, dc 2.2 cams, pinned 40° vtc gear, e85, set of your 1500cc injectors, magnus racing centerfeed with 90mm accufab mustang tb and a skunk2 alpha exhaust to 3 inch exit. 23° of timing oit the back
50 degree vtc or limited 40-45 degree vtc, 3in exhaust, rbc or skunk intake manifold, with 3-3.5 intake pipe should wake it up for sure. Some dc 2.2-3.2 will really make a difference depends on what your goal is
You need to clay the motor to work out piston to valve clearance. You will benefit from more vtc but it all depends on what size cams you have. Big cams dont need more vtc especially at high rpm. What cams do you have?
That prb intake manifold will restrict top end hp. I’m sure you can find a cheap rbc manifold for around $200-$250 and that should definitely help. As for 50 deg vtc, it’s not needed if you are only gonna do pulls. 25 deg vtc is enough.
I bought the same exact machine Shortly after you purchased yours and I've noticed they flow differently depending on where you place it on the rail. I test injectors on 1,2,5 and 6 and the outside injectors typically flow more than the inside ones. I tend to flow them individually to get a better result. Do you get the same problem?
I test using the medium flow rate test and set pressure at 42.5 with dr injection fluid and I don’t get variance but I had some wiring issues where some of the pigtails were not connecting as well so wired on my own pigtails and always make sure machine is completely full of fluid.
Dude just put a j series in it an wallah !! Problem solved - I might even subscribe then - I think the k series are just over hyped anyway. You’re saying that you wanna tow with it then your going to need some torque as well - and just a quick tip e-85 does nothing to n/a cars in terms of hp gains go, if anything you might actually be losing hp because the quality at most pumps these days are watered down and have way less ethanol then what you think- #jswaptheworld
Is it worth it to try and track down and probably over pay for a y8 or z6 head? I have a d16y7. I plan on boosting for 250-300 whp. I’d like to have vtec but I’m just looking for the easiest and most effective route.
@@HunterTunedthat’s what I was thinking. I’ve read plenty of forums just wanted to hear it from the horses mouth. I’m surprised E 85 didn’t pick much horsepower up. I was expecting atleast 30. I know with the 5.0 Coyote engines, E85 really wakes them up.
Should go back on pump gas.. what a waste of injectors 1000cc on e85 only add up 3hp 😅.. you need to upgrade your drive train with 3.2 cams and maybe be add rbc intake manifold should put you 270-280whp on E.. anyways I made 260whp 190tq on stock k24 k20 head unported with rdx 410 cc stock prb cams 70mm tb on rbc manifold with a shitty restricted header.. pump gas..
Kristine knowing the DET times was epic.
Make that a YT short please.

Maybe I’ll make a video on that
So that's saying the map will read volumetric efficiency
Your injectors worked great with me bro! Let ppl hate , i made 520whp stock k20. Will purchase again
I seen more people NOT clean the fuel line they just cut and made and didn't use a filter before the the injectors and have them clog with the cuttings...Ive been watching ya for years now...doing a great job...

RBC intake manifold, 3.5" intake and a full 3" exhaust would be perfect for this
I was just about to say that 😂
That’s the same setup I have on my k20 lol 💪🏼
Agreed 3" exhaust even with my h/f series....k needs a 3".
K24 loves massive 3.5” to 4” intake/ 74-90mm TB with matching IM and big tube 3” collector header…. Snake water performance sells some damn good injectors too 🫡
Hunter you’re doing gods work 😉

Thanks for the video sir. I really like your transparency when tuning and not gatekeeping with knowledge.
Ive tuned multiple cars with your injectors an they work great
It must to suck to live somewhere where we're not having rusted out Quarter panels is a flex
The sound is wonderful :) I love it
Everyone needs a Kristine ! 🎉

take us on the gas station trips brother!
Still rocking the decapped injectors in my 99 civic, B18 non vtec. Best bang for the buck. IMO

Nice! Got a K-swap in my near future. Still lookin for the 5-speed awd trans. On the fence if I boost it out the gate.
i have a 05 jdm k24(a2) with oil pump and vtc gear. Maybe try just dropping the exhaust off the header to see what I would do with an open header just to make sure it’s not plugged somewhere.
I agree 💯 on what u say about the people with remote tunning ..my opinion is if your goin to get a remote tune you need to be the person who put the car together or at least can do your own diagnostics so the tuner can do what he does an just tunes
Grab yourself a set of 08 k24a2 cams and a skunk2 ultra race manifold, should see a noticeable bump in power
FUEL RETURN LINE!!!
Don't worry, be happy😜. Pump gas and add a bottle for special occasions.
Ripper vidya comin soon mint

Rbc intake manifold, 50 degree vtc. 3.5in intake. 3in exhaust. And type s oil pump to really bring it up to the 9000rpm.
50 degree vtc or limited 40-45 degree vtc, 3in exhaust, rbc or skunk intake manifold, with 3-3.5 intake pipe should wake it up for sure. Some dc 2.2-3.2 will really make a difference depends on what your goal is
Definitely need a good intake manifold/setup with that compression. seems choked up for sure
It would be cool to see the comparison
it's weakest link with pumping losses, most likely the exhaust or air filter. A nice 2.25 to 2.5 should open it up plenty.
I feel like you'd gain some more power if you got a CAI and routed it further away, maybe behind the headlight and put a heat shield around it
You need to clay the motor to work out piston to valve clearance. You will benefit from more vtc but it all depends on what size cams you have. Big cams dont need more vtc especially at high rpm. What cams do you have?
I love the car and that color… been trying to find one for my next build… also in Tennessee lol
50vtc will work .. light weight exhaust cam gear … type s oil pump .. and rbc manifold or skunk2 ultra if you want top end power
Maybe it's time for a "little" spoolie boy, or some NO2...
I think this set up would love a good skunk 2 intake manifold or maybe an rbc
you can make it to do live tuning debating on which version you have.
Man u underrated
Beautiful car!
What cams are in it? Put some drag cartel drop ins or 06 tsx cams and rbc with 50vtc and she's going rip tater chip!!
Drag Cartel makes custom VTC cam gears, check'em out !
Hunter tuned one day: damn where is my paper with my dead times
Wifey: hold my beer an pass the lap top ..
I think a k20a2 head with some drag cartel cams and a jackspania intake manifold should net like 280
K series love to breath. Better IM, bigger intake, and 3in exhaust will wake it up
Needs I/H/E (3 inch). I guarantee air flow is the restriction. You can up the throttle body and port match with a nice intake manifold. Bet she'll rip
That prb intake manifold will restrict top end hp. I’m sure you can find a cheap rbc manifold for around $200-$250 and that should definitely help. As for 50 deg vtc, it’s not needed if you are only gonna do pulls. 25 deg vtc is enough.
My stock k24 rbb sid 243whp that manifold is killing you run a rbc or rrc
I bought the same exact machine

Aftermarket cam full 3in exhaust rbc intake and youll gain alot
Rbc manifold and 3inch exhaust
Do type s pump 50 degree vts pin it at 40-45 some dc 3.2 with a good intake manifold and thats a 300 whp set up
Do a type s oil pump, k24s with stock 24 oil pump dont like to rev passed 7600.
Hunter how much u think my stock 2007 k20a with a 6262 on e85 would make?
Are you done taking customers in for dynos?
Dude just put a j series in it an wallah !! Problem solved - I might even subscribe then - I think the k series are just over hyped anyway. All the money and work for 250hp😂
4 real 😂 🤣
What's the name of that beat you played in the video.
Been trying to find out it for a while now. Would appreciate it if you can let me look know.
Sheeesh good shit❤
34th from the 7th season in the UK
Hell yeah
? What do your 1500cc injectors flow rate cc??
Needs 3” exhaust for sure. And what cams are in it?
Stock cams
Intake manifold
What camshaft you have that thing?
I always thought on e85 air fuel was supposed to be between 8-10:1
I use gasoline scale
What size injector for h23 stock engine
Is it worth it to try and track down and probably over pay for a y8 or z6 head? I have a d16y7. I plan on boosting for 250-300 whp. I’d like to have vtec but I’m just looking for the easiest and most effective route.
Need Vtec head doesn’t matter I’d prolly go with y8 on the y7 block

Gas just leaking all over the place 🥹
Was the Mfactory LSD in the Barney civic a good purchase ? did you continue ripping on it?, current;ly purchasing the same mfactory lsd
Yea I liked it
I thought the wavetrac was worth the extra dosh, but my buddy has the mfactory and it works fine. I remember him having to shim it or something.
Bro how do I download the honda knowledge from your brain to mine lolol
Do the 24/20 With a new intake . Why not
needs 3inch exhaust
Weird, almost like vtec isnt working fully...
E85 should (maight) be another45bhp
🤙🤙🤙
50hp more
I'm super jelly. I have 1 the same color but it's a straight shitbox
Should go back on pump gas.. what a waste of injectors 1000cc on e85 only add up 3hp 😅.. you need to upgrade your drive train with 3.2 cams and maybe be add rbc intake manifold should put you 270-280whp on E.. anyways I made 260whp 190tq on stock k24 k20 head unported with rdx 410 cc stock prb cams 70mm tb on rbc manifold with a shitty restricted header.. pump gas..
260 hp
263
