Sim forgot one summon, but it is rare to summon, so it makes sense. You need to have beaten the wasp queen and made the bard's bow and have beaten the Orchid Mantis boss to get the mutation Apex Predator. The mutation allows boss weapons when using them to activate a hidden effect. The bards' bow's hidden effect is summoning a wasp to fight for you.

I had an aphid pet, but one day he disappeared. I tried to recall him and use the repair option but he didn't return. I've tried several times to tame a new pet. I see them eat the food but then nothing nothing happens. :(
this is bc they randomly fall in the ground when teleporting I had the same issue with a red ant but they patched it so you shouldn't have it happen anymore
I don't have this issue. Me and my friend have been playing grounded for probably close to 50 hours and we havent run into this problem. He got disconnected once.
Would be cool it we could get some spiderlings for taking down the broodmother like how if we befriend the ants we get a baby ant i feel like it would be cool if we could get a spider egg sack and have it randomly hatch a per spider could be a widow a wolf or orb weaver but at random chance
Kinda sad the game has turned away from strategic combat completely. New game + 4 and above are just unplayable even on mild. They didn’t test this stuff out at all. The only way to progress is using a broken build and getting lucky. Hope they have some major tweaks. If not the games ruined.

To get the armor, yes you have to either poison or infect the queens. You can get the weapons plus a pet if you befriend them.

in a new update the black ant makes you have damage resist and the fire ant gives you +acid damage the red ant is the same as normal

My baby fire ant attacks stuff sometimes. He even pulls aggro in boss fights. I don't think he is killable.

You have to feed any ant queen poison type foods to kill her then u get her parts u scan them and craft the set

@stevenjohnson3136 You can load a save from before it died and to prevent it you can turn on pet invincibility in game settings
