    Very happy for you all to achieve your milestone in home ownership. Glad your wife was able to help you unload. Blessings!

    In the video the end of the loading ramp was a couple inches below the floor of the truck, it can easily be moved up to the floor height of the truck by pulling the ramp all the way out then lift up to the floor height where the ramp can connect and create a smooth level walk way in and out of the truck. Helps eliminate tripping hazard and easier for the Dolly to roll in and out of the truck.

    Love these videos. These Uhaul videos help to calm people's anxiety about driving these things. I know watching a similar video helped me when I was about to drive from Georgia to Texas. Great job!

    We’re moving 400 miles away next Feb. Most videos I’ve watched were smaller homes with not nearly as much stuff as I have. I really appreciated seeing how the 26 ft truck fit your stuff. And with kids!!! I’ve got 3 and I’m stressing an ulcer lol

      Yeah, moving is a big pain. I hope we never have to do it again. Lol. We got 3 kids, too. We ended up traveling on our minivan to close and move to the new house. Then I flew back to Nashville, had a few friends help me load up the U-Haul and then I drove by myself.

    I'm getting ready to the reverse trip. From the San Antonio area to Missouri. Traffic here is terrible. After 24 years, I'm done. So I-35 North, Dallas, Texarkana, Little Rock, West Memphis, then I-35 North. Will be a 26-foot Penske. Thanks for the video. I need some confidence.

    • @CluelessintheUS
      @CluelessintheUS  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I drove through Dallas and Austin and got nervous with the heavy traffic along I-35. But as long as you stay on your lane, anticipate when you make your turns and leave ample space for turning, you'll be good.

      @Cold_Hard_Truth 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@CluelessintheUS OK, thanks, I won't get in a hurry. Correction: West Memphis, then I-55 (the double nickel), north to Missouri.

    Welcome to Texas! I have been here 50 out of 60 years, it's a great place to live, raise kids, save a lot of money. Retirement now, moving to North Carolina in the next month or so.

    Is it safe to load a car in the back of the u-hual truck without a tow dolly.If so what's the fastest you can drive ?

      On my trip from Florida to Reno Nevada I had a 72 Jeep Cherokee in the front end of a 26 ft box truck and was hauling a four-wheel drive Dodge Dakota on a auto hauler to answer your question the posted speed limit, but the max limit with a auto hauler or tow dolly is 55 per u haul. Good luck

    • @CluelessintheUS
      @CluelessintheUS  ปีที่แล้ว

      No I did not. Although this truck is big, I think it's not considered commercial truck, but more of a consumer truck. I could be wrong, though.

      They don't need to. I know this because my husband is an OTR trucker and he's also driven a ton of U-hauls over the years.

    • @katie7748
      @katie7748 ปีที่แล้ว

      @CluelessintheUS Dang that's cheap!! Before taxes and gas, going roughly the same distance as you and also using a 26ft truck, ours is going to be over $2K!!
      Edit: After gas and taxes, it'll probably be close to 3K!

    I don't understand the big deal with this. I drove the very same truck with an auto hauler on the back. From Jacksonville, Florida to Reno nevadai'm sure people have traveled all away from New York to California in these things. What's the big deal about this video ?
