I am helping my daughter move soon and will be driving the same size truck and trailer. I have driven the 15footer before but not with a trailer. I’m a little nervous about finding places with room to pull in to get gas but I suppose if we find truck stops we should be ok. Tighter turns also make nervous but I suppose we will be ok. Can I ask you a question?! We are doing a move with the same combo here next week.. on the trailer it says or more than 55mph… that isn’t serious right? Because the whole way is 70mph ahaha just wanted to see how it went!
@@kennahglass8999 I started out keeping to the speed limit and going over mountains this was perhaps a safe, but not a good choice. We averaged less than 50 and essentially got so delayed we had to take an extra day. I think you can safely push it to 65 so that your average (accounting for stops, refills and other delays) is higher. The mileage apps use an average of over 70, but I think that's wishful thinking, especially towing a car.

So, is it ok to drive in the snow? I'm in North Nevada going West through the Sierra Mountains (I-80) and snow is forecasted soon. A 15' truck and Auto Trailer can do the snow? BTW good point on "gas tank" @8:40 . Unless you're just in the city, don't let your tank get low on the highways, sometimes you might push it too close.
Yes you can haul through the snow but you will be driving slow with a lot of caution, make sure to have the snow kit(can Google what it entail). If hauling your car with a 15' truck, make sure to research the weight capacity that the truck can haul compare to the weight of your car. Thank you for watching and hopefully you subscribed.
You should really cross the chains under the tongue of the trailer in doing so should the trailer fall off the crossed chains will prevent the tongue from hitting the ground

I'm assuming this was a multiday trip.... Did you do research on the hotels you were planning to stay? Did you check if their parking lot allowed for a big truck with a trailer? How about for gas stations? Could you fit in and out easily or was that challenging? Those are my biggest fears lol, thanks for the video!
