The footage that I used in this video for the Jesus on the cross scenes is not from The Chosen, it’s from The Two Thieves short film, made by Dallas Jenkins before he made The Chosen. I noticed there was some confusion about this in the comments, so I wanted to confirm that the two thieves here are not from The Chosen. We don’t have footage of Season 6 yet or know who the actors for them are yet. I hope that clears that up! Thanks for watching! Who do you think the two thieves will be?
I think Dallas should bring back Stelio Sevantes as one of the thieves on the cross, since Stelio was directed by Dallas& started with Jonathan Roumie in the Two Thieves. It’ll be interesting to see what Dallas does in these future seasons. Great job on the channel, Steven!! Looking forward to seeing more of your content!! Blessings to you and your family!!😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏
@ Yes, the parts were small but the roles were major, viewers would remember that they played those roles, so I think the only ones who might play multiple roles on the show will be the background actors.
I have him pegged as either one of the guys on the cross, because he told Simon Z that he would “find his own path” and that path could come be him asking Jesus to remember him, or he could be Barabbas. Barabbas was an insurrectionists and this guy is a zealot and that’s the kind of stuff they did. Another idea I have, what if Judas’ old business partner ends up being one of the thieves on the cross. He is shady, kind of a conman, which is pretty much a thief, he could have conned the wrong person, just saying that would be a good twist.
Hadad being one of the thieves on the cross would certainly be interesting! I think the Chosen will probably lean more towards zealots though, since the Jews Pilate was crucifying in Season 3 episode 6 were zealots. Great ideas!
I've been watching the background for a recurring figure who could be Matthias - who was around since Jesus was baptised (although for that I've had my eye on the one with long hair who's behind 'Zealot') I can't see The Chosen has invested quite a bit of story in 'Zealot', I can't see him not being relevant to the future. I had him down as Barabbas, but your analysis makes a lot of sense.
I was invited by Giovanni Cairo, who told me when the extra work was going to happen after a live stream...I was all prepared then it was held up...they had legal issues and after that my mother went into the hospital and from the ICU, I was watching what I would have been doing...I was heartbroken from every angle as I did extra work on soap operas in NYC... I was telling George , Noah and Giovanni that I feel like my chance was there to really have the extra part of a lifetime and had to miss it. Imagine that feeling.😢
4:16 The 2 criminals crucified with Jesus (Luke 23:39-43) has a story running parallel to it in Genesis 40:5-23, where the chief cup-bearer & chief baker are in prison with Joseph. They each have similar disturbing dreams, telling Joseph about it. (Like the “2 criminals” described in Luke, the Bible doesn’t go into detail or even mention the exact offenses.) The chief cup-bearer actually gets a favorable interpretation (& like the repentant criminal gets the ultimate pardon & restoration to Paradise), so the chief baker thinks he’s entitled to a favorable dream interpretation (like the more arrogant criminal wanting Jesus to save himself & them in Luke 23:39), but instead he was “hanged on a tree & the birds ate his flesh”. (In the movie “The Passion”, a raven even gets a head start in eating the arrogant criminal while he’s still alive on the cross, which is also mentioned in Proverbs 30:17.) Joseph in Genesis 40:14-15 reveals that he’s serving a sentence for a crime he didn’t commit, just like Yeshua (Jesus), which the repentant criminal admits in Luke 23:40. In both stories, it’s like God himself (Jesus, who is God in the flesh), & Joseph (an archetype of Messiah) is a fellow prisoner with us. Only in Genesis: 40:23, the chief cup-bearer forgets his promise to Joseph (& won’t remember it for 2 years). But we can rest assured that Jesus did not forget the repentant criminal. Showing that Adonai is faithful, even when humanity isn’t.
@@Loaturtle Brilliant insights! I had never connected the two passages before. The Bible is full of all kinds of parallels, that’s how God works! Fascinating!
Came over here after hearing about you from The Chosen Sleuth. Your videos are interesting. Just FYI - The thief on the cross with be in Season 6, not Season 5.
I hope they make this a big scene. The bystander who helps carry the cross for a while. Jesus help so many with their pain. The bystander help JESUS PAIN.
interesting comparison, BUT I do not think it is the Zelot form season 4 and the one theif on the cross on the left side of Jesus [ jonathan Roumie ] is the same actor.
The footage I used in the video is from The Two Thieves, a short film that Dallas made before The Chosen. We haven’t had any footage of the any scenes of the cross for The Chosen, so we don’t know who the actor will be.
The zealots crimes were against The Romans...so yes they hroke Roman law. As we saw in prior episodes, Pilate crucified them right outside his own window. It is very plausible that thectwo thieves...and Barrabas were zealots.
Hello, looking at the thief, he looks nothing like the Zealot. He looks just like the guy Judas was working with/for, he was a thief. If you remember when Judas went to see him while they were in Bethany he was stealing by altering some paperwork. Blessings...

I would actually love it if he made The Two Thieves Chosen canon haha!
He has already been on the Chosen, he played Moses, and the other thief in the Two Thieves played the father of Mary Magdalene.
@@annme7638 Yes, but I feel as though they were small enough roles that they could just bring the actors back.

Stelio Savantes played the thief in short film...he portrayed Moses in an earlier episode of The Chosen... I too believe the zealots will be back...
