I hate 9-5 corporate bs. I will be pulling the plug soon - I've been planning for years.

Seven weeks ago I resigned from my 26 year career in banking! I didn’t want to do it anymore. Too much crap to deal with day in and day out. So resigning cut our household income in half. I’ve been job searching but mostly trying to figure out what I would enjoy doing! I have appreciated your timely wisdom!!

This is motivation. My wife and I recently had our fourth kid so I got to spend some extended time at home and it was an eye of not wanting to go back to that 9-5. I am back to it because I have a family to provide but the mental has shifted and I think that's the start.

I can say that I have been on this treadmill for a long time, going nowhere in life making the people I work for rich while I struggle financially. I appreciate the video we all need a kick in the ass from people other than our friends and family. Time for change.

At 76 I still work 2 1/2 months of the year doing taxes, I’ve worked from myself since the late 90s because I can’t stand to work for other people. But now I just do taxes and have my other retirement income.

Gabe, Thank you so much for posting this video (and many others). It really resonated with me and gave me some renewed motivation. I was in a job just like that for almost 12 years. Quit and started working on my business and pursuing other income sources. It's been just over 14 months. I have had my ups and downs. Staying motivated is certainly difficult. However, now I make about 2/3 of what I made previously and have an incredible amount of freedom and time to do the things that matter to me.
I appreciate you, your journey, your story, and your wisdom.

Your channel is one of a handful that really inspired me to take the steps & make the effort to start building to break away from the ‘normal’ life setup. I’m so sick of it.
Started making moves 2-3 months ago, now I’m almost at 500 subs on youtube (a different channel), getting my design skills up to start getting freelance work in the next 3-6 months, and will be buying a property to rent out early next year as I’ve got things in place to do that now. Thanks again man - your journey & progress really showed me it’s possible & that you don’t have to accept a regular lifestyle.

You could invest in stocks, start a side business, or focus on advancing your career. It's important to set goals and make a plan. Remember, wealth can mean different things to different people,One thing i can say that helped me in life to reach my first million was starting early, i got curious and informed i became open to passive income, investments in equities , etfs and the likes. Also sought help to handle my portfolio which was my foundation. i'm ever grateful to Susan Kay Mack my FA.

I never comment on any of your videos but I enjoy listening not necessarily mean I agree with everything you say. However you inspire me. I found you after I bought my house and I had zero furniture for months. As a single month for two t, and now with one child on college the decision was scary as hell. But the main trigger was That I switched jobs with better opportunities but that meant to Start from zero again in my life. I’m so glad and I can honestly tell you I’ll do it again if is the best for me and my girls. Eventually I would like to be more financially independent but slowly working my way that direction. Any little counts toward that goal. Please keep up with your videos. I find them extremely motivating. This video hit home to me cause it reminded me how I left an abusive relationship over night and I see my life back and I’m so much happier now.

You have to take into account that some people stay in 9-5s due to their work pensions. If they have been paying in for some years and the company has a matching contributions scheme then if they leave their job they lose out on a pretty substantial amount as the company will withdraw their contributions and cash you out. In a sense they are trapped by their retirement eligibility.

I’m on this journey right now. Failure is not an option. It’s not even about money. It’s about personal freedom and independence. I know with everything inside of me that a 9-5 M-F work schedule is not for me. I’ve known this for a while but have failed to act on it.
There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them.

What you're addressing is the least understood part of our Bill of Rights, "The Pursuit of Happiness". I'm glad that you described the main component your pursuit had to have; ownership.
Most people never even think to analyze what would make them feel jazzed about their lives; then wonder why achieving their dreams doesn't feel as exciting as they thought it would.
    Keep on keepin' on, Gabe.

There are other legal ethical ways to live and not live simply or become homeless and I’m glad I no longer buy that atheist delusion and instead just embrace what God says.

To make other people rich? That makes no sense because that’s exactly what you’re doing by renting your home Gabe. People all over the Internet condemn other people for what they are doing then do it themselves. There’s nothing wrong with people renting the homes they themshelves buy to a Point. But when someone has 8000 homes I feel it’s not right. I do t feel properties should be takin but at some point there needs to be limits on land & homes. Paris Hilton has like 30,000 hotels & stores it ridiculous
