This is one of the most realistic and heartbreaking end of world movies because it can happen and if this happens, this is what will take place; survival selection. And just last week, a meteorite the size of a fridge crashed in, TWO HOURS after it was discovered. Imagine that; having a party with your love ones and then an hour later, been told an asteroid is hitting the neighborhood.
This movie made me realize that me and my family will not be save because none of us have this kind of jobs that will be considered essential in rebuilding society after an apocalypse. None of us are doctors, engineers, military etc. I also remember in schindler's list during the war, they segregate people based on their profession, those who are non essential (musician, literature teacher) gets sent to their deaths.
Normally, movies never really made me scared or sad, but this scene and this movie was like taking a shot to the chest. The movie is very emotional and heartbreaking as well. This movie just hits hard and changed me after the movie. A fantastic movie, a 10/10 disaster movie.

The father made the right choice of not taking her because as the military said “ no one else is allowed with , No Exceptions “ the millitary only wants John , Allison , And Nathan and other people who are SELECTED
I love how the news reporter fumbles his words and corrects himself - that's exactly what would happen in a situation like this.
In the uncut version, the asteroid lands directly on their house, it was 17 miles wide and its center mass came down directly on their home
Is there a link or way to see this?
Actually, it landed in Europe. They explain it in the film.
That was on Blast from The Past. And it was an aircraft.
This movie Gave me ANXIETY dude this was a great movie
This movie is legit scary imagine that happening for real
They'll let the asteroid hit us while they chill in their bunkers
Doubt it
Well there's this thing called the Firmament. Therefore this film is complete fantasy.
@@Carmine_Lupertazzi tell that to the dinosaurs.fantasy my bud.it will happen for sure just we don't know if it's gonna be in our lifetime
Ikrrr
Humans: the asteroid will hit the ocean. Asteroid: THATS WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO THINK
Asteroid: I’m gonna do what’s called a pro gamer move
This is one of the most realistic and heartbreaking end of world movies because it can happen and if this happens, this is what will take place; survival selection.
And just last week, a meteorite the size of a fridge crashed in, TWO HOURS after it was discovered. Imagine that; having a party with your love ones and then an hour later, been told an asteroid is hitting the neighborhood.
Thats why study hard
When the military says no exceptions, there is no exceptions. Unless if you're the camera man of course
Gerrard Butler is great. But this movie should have come out in theaters.
It did
That scene when their neighbour begged them to take her daughter with them broke me 😭
Me too😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Great!! This is just what everyone needs to see while in a worldwide pandemic
Planned demic.
@@Johnrider1234 suuuure... By the "communists"

Even if he took the girl, the military would have denied her entry...he really wanted to in his heart, but he knew she wouldn't make it in.
6:52 is SOUND LOGIC, exactly what I was thinking when seeing this scene
i just watched this movie with my family and it was epic
Edit: wow 2 likes already in a day? thanks guys
movie?
Ron Deathsentence says: "It's fine, there is no comet. Carry on about your business"

Biden: I will... will stop the... the uh... comet.
6:35 always made me cry
0:40 "And in the beginning there was silence,"
The acting in this movie is so good
me just hoping this doesn’t happen in real life..
Reason for lockdown.
2021 isn’t over yet
It ain't started yet
@@JJ-rt9fx stfu
It could happen. Tomorrow, in a week or years.
This is one guy that never disappoints. Love every movie you have ever made. Carry on Mr. Butler carry on.
1:45 before the camera cuts, you can see the skyscrapers all tilt forward from the shockwave , nice detail.
Normally, movies never really made me scared or sad, but this scene and this movie was like taking a shot to the chest. The movie is very emotional and heartbreaking as well. This movie just hits hard and changed me after the movie. A fantastic movie, a 10/10 disaster movie.
This movie was amazing from start to finish
When you have to protect your family, you do this at all costs
I've not seen this film yet, but puzzled how the shock wave took out Butler but didn't smash any windows in the house.
Lol...and how nobody else came outside after him to check
It did though lol Windows smashed right behind him. And he got immediately up and ran into the house.
I like how the caller ID literally says “department of homeland security” 😂
Its hard to handle this kind of situation but we should save first our family. We also love our friends but we shouldn't forget that family is always first.
This movie is awesome! Great to see Gerar Butler interpreting a kind men
6:10 "DEB, FOR CHIRST'S SAKE GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!! 😡😡😡
The most scariest part about the asteriod or any disasters like these is that, it can actually happen.
This movie is a perfect example on how humanity will turn on each other in order to survive.
You can't save everyone. The faster you accept it, the better off you'll be.
the most horrific thing about this movie is that it will eventually happen someday.
Really loved this movie, disaster movies always give me such a sense of dread and I LOVE it
This film was brilliant quite scary and quite sad
6:21 KAREN DID IT LOOK LIKE YOUR NAMES WERE ON THE LIST NO EXPECTATIONS 😂😂
3:05 the QR code says, “GARRITY, JOHN A”
At least they actually made one instead of getting a random one.
The temperature be rising about 400 degrees wait for that you ain't packing no bag
This movie was amazing it a Saturday night popcorn movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat
I got selected , they gave me a QR code
RICK ROLLED BICH with only 72 suicides i think this was a successful prank
I also got a QR code. Turns out it was money off coupon for mouthwash😣
This movie was nothing but intensity from start to finish. Best mind blowing apocalypse movie next to Deep Impact.
6:02 I found it funny how Gerard's accent kinda slipped in this part of the video, i see alot of actors slip their original accents but love how they still put that effort to continue and mastering the acting voice
His natural accent was used for the entire movie.
I'll watch greenland any day of the week.
Same
Watching them panic while packing a bug out bag made me feel a sigh of relief knowing I have one ready to go.
you would not see a comet hitting because it would be travelling way too fast
That no at 6:35 broke my heart
5:42 *wait, wAiT, waiT!, stoP, STOP!!, WAIT! waiT!*
I forgot One more wait.
The shockwave blasts out the entire neighbourhoods glass infrastructure right? Cars, house windows etc... then at 4:45 you see everything in tact and no glass anywhere or any sign of a shockwave just hit.
That glass has plot armor.
the birbs are like “nah we’re out”
6:33 this movie does not release yet on my country but that part makes me sad!
Well this was really emotional. When you know however you want, you can't save someone.
excellent and very realistic-nail biting the whole time! The sad portion was about ..who got the call-many did not-I feel it is a reality one day we might have to face, as society has made it very clear who has value or not-
