Nice job going around too in order to avoid that collision, it’s not easy with what we do, that decision has to be made immediately.

Excellent video Alex. I was wondering the same thing. How do you stay cool at night in the truck. Looking forward to your video and review of how the zero breeze works. Seems like there is not many options for portable ac in a hotshot truck.

Love your videos, I am studying the way you strap.. u do it the same every time... I have it down except for how you know how far to stay away from the trailer to give you the correct length to put in the wench... Is it by the folds you do or your arms length.. you have a perfect system down and u do it every time... Thank you for sharing your adventures
Thank you! I leave enough strap so it almost touches the ground when it’s tucked in the rub rail. And that part that hangs to the ground goes in the winch.
You needed another strap on the back one and the front one. Need 2 straps within the first 4 feet on the front piece and 2 straps on the last 4 feet of the last piece. Every 10 feet in the middle
I think that depends on overall length of a single piece on your trailer and overall weight of it. As far as I know if your load is over 10 ft in length you are required to use two straps for the first 10 ft and one strap per each additional 10ft. Both items on my trailer were 20 ft each and weighed less than 2,000lb each. I had 16,000lb worth of strap securement on each. Each 4inch strap is rated at 5400lb work load. I strongly doubt I needed any additional straps.
Thank you! I can try to include that in one of the future videos but honestly there isn’t much working out going on. Only on weekends when ai do my reset. Diet is the more important part but I’ll try to talk about it in a future video.
hi man. I always watch your videos but may I missed somewhere- I ask about how much costs for you as a driver for example 1000miles, I mean about petrol/diesel, food, overnight... thanks a lot. all the best for you and your family!
Hey, thanks for watching. I don’t really count per 1000 miles but diesel is average $3.50 per gallon and my average mpg is around 9-10 so maybe that’ll give you an idea. Food I prep to take with me. I would say food per week is between $80-100. I also sleep in my truck so ai don’t waste money on hotels.
Wow, Florida drivers seem alot like Tennessee drivers. Enjoy the time off! Truck seems to hold up very well. I hear alot of people hate on Dodge, idk if its dumb brand loyalty to something else or some are bad trucks.
Thank you!!! That’s why insurance is super high in Florida. Because of drivers like this. I’m not sure why people hate on Ram. It’s a great truck. The only issues you may have are emission related like all other diesel trucks. Engine and transmission wise they are solid.
Good video driver but if you see a alligator on the road get you a load out of Port Fourchon in Louisiana😮💨 you might even see some at the port itself
It’s always different. This time I was on the road for two months. Ideally Ideally I like to be in the road for 2-3 weeks before going home but it depends how business is.

I left Newfoundland Canada last Wednesday and drove to Mansfield Ohio to pick up a roll off dumpster trailer with 3 bins it was 12000 lbs and 11 feet high the trip was 4300 miles it cost me $2100 in fuel half of that was Canadian dollar and the fuel cost close to $8 a gallon in Canada
Can’t always keep dunnage especially without a dunnage rack extra 1/2k option added to the trailer price not all trailers have the open sway bar you can strap it to either.! I have had to leave dunnage when hauling a container and to keep buying it yes it’s a cost of business but look here lol
Yes it’s common sense to keep dunnage if you are often at shippers that require it. Out of 4-5 years that I’ve been working I’ve only had one or two shippers that required dunnage. I am definitely not going to carry dunnage because of that reason. I also don’t have extra room. When dunnage is needed a broker will specify it when booking a load. Thank you! 🙂
It’s steel beams. I don’t think they will bend. There isn’t a big stretch in between the dunnage that’s under it and if you are referring to the tube on the front of the trailer, that thing definitely isn’t bending.
another cool vid. that jeep that pulled out in front of you gave me anxiety, people are so braindead when driving like we all can just stop on a dime. Enjoy those 2 weeks off alex, well deserved.
