    Very helpful. I had a loud noise coming from the evaporator fan, figured I would be buying a new fan motor. After removing the cover I discovered that the ice buildup and the lines had built up to the point the fan blades were striking the ice. Removed ice and reassembled. Quiet as a church mouse now.

    I have this exact model so it was a great example - my center shelf support and evaporator cover came from the factory not properly attached and have to have a repair tech come out to fix - now I see what is wrong or at least what to do to see why the shelves do not set level - thanks

    Thanks, the only thing missing is how to remove the interior door panel, I'm trying to remove the little braket that holds the hinge in place because it is not aligned with the entire assembly and keeps braking the hinges. Thanks

    Have a major buzzing/humming noise coming from the back of the fridge where the water lines go in. I do have water hooked up.also, still makes noise after i shut the ice maker off. Any idea how to diagnose or fix this? (PS- it’s not the evaporator fan rubbing on ice)

    I've been watching your videos for a long time now to fix several problems on my Samsung fridge. I was looking at this one expecting to find a clue to a problem still persists....: The back cover of it is seatting too much and constantly in the upper right corner, where the ice maker is located. So much that the metal cover began to rust some time ago. I took out the water hose to the ice maker looking for a puncture or if it was out of place with no results. Everything seems to be fine. There is a lot of ice build up aroung the ice maker. I fixed it twice already but I can not get rid of the problem. Could you suggest me something to find a final solution ? I have been asking some other technicians but I had no answers. I would really appreciate yout attention and expertise on this subject. I do not want to spend more money on parts until I know what the real problem is. Thanks a lot, Ramon Perera, Miami

      Hard to diagnose over a TH-cam comment. It could be a bad dispenser switch, bad water valve, bad main control board or something else.

    The tolerances are so close, it's almost impossible to reinstall the shelves, not to mention more critical parts. Thanks for the information that Samsung is apparently unable to provide. It's not a brand I'll favor in the future.

    I have a fridge that Samsung could not fix. The technicians told me that it may be and electrical issue that they cant get to. They even changed out the computer board. Has that happened to anyone else? Sounded like they just gave up. But now i have a $2700 fridge that does not get cold. Any ideas?

    In removing the refrigerator evaporator cover, I followed the instructions to the letter, however the thing simply will not come out. Is it possible it is so iced up that this is why it will not come out?

    Is there any way to take the back off the fridge??? A connector burnt where the evaporator cover fan plugs into the little housing at the upper left. There has to be a way to replace that harness or get at the back of the connector to try and wire a new one, no???

    • @PartsDr
      @PartsDr  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the cabinet is foamed in place and it is not designed to be taken apart.

    Is it possible to fix the clip where evaporator fan connects to the back of the refrigerator. Mine was rusted and when I unplugged it broke one of the pin.

    • @PartsDr
      @PartsDr  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We do not know of a fix for this. We have heard of some people attempting to cut into the liner of the refrigerator to try to splice into the wiring.

    How do we clean the drip pan? It smells and makes the fridge smell. But appears difficult to actually remove to be able to clean it.
    Also how do you remove the glass from the shelves? There is dirt under the edges.

    • @PartsDr
      @PartsDr  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The drip pan is not something that can easily be cleaned. Check out 9:43 for this area of the refrigerator.
      The glass can be removed from the vegetable cover assembly, but the glass in the upper shelves cannot be removed from the plastic.

      I used a knife to pop up the white squares holding the glass took the glass off after I removed the entire shelf and after I cleaned it I popped the squares back on

    How can I access the refrigerant lines behind the plastic interior. Mine freezes up and I believe it is because of it going from a uncondioned to conditioned environment.

    • @PartsDr
      @PartsDr  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      2:43 and 8:18 show removing the evaporator covers to access the evaporator coils. If you are looking to access something inside the wall of the refrigerator, that is not serviceable.

  • @yorkyufan
    @yorkyufan 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    My problem is that the fan motor connector socket (the one that is mounted on the interior wall shown at 4:16) is broken (the pin inside the socket is gone). How do I replace it? Do I need to disassemble the whole back cover to have access to the wire that is connected to the socket? That seems like a mission impossible.

    • @PartsDr
      @PartsDr  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it is the connector on the refrigerator wall side, those parts are not intended to be serviceable. Everything inside the wall of the refrigerator is foamed in place from the factory which makes servicing those pieces very difficult.
