    This is the one I've been waiting for. That riff at 1:40 is absolutely disgusting.

      I fcking agree to the fullest. Hardest hitting riff on the album. And album goes really really hard already.

    This band is so good! Flux Conduct, John Brownes soloproject is a must for more of this🤘 Thornhill also have a lot of similarities and influences from bands you love while also sounding unique, so i hopefully you'll get to them in the future. Probably dont have to say which song from them to begin with at this point😂

    Ive got the Vinyl signed by every band member. Only Vinyl I own tbh. When I heard memoirs off their old demo tracks I knew it was the sound I had always wanted to hear in music.

    Ibanez, Schecter and Jackson are some guitar brands that make some good budget metal guitars but also really nice premium ones as well if you want to spend more. For amps, consider investing in an audio interface like a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 to plug your guitar into a computer and run an amp simulator like Neural DSP which have amps and presets for artists like Gojira and Tosin Abasi. Each amp sim has multiple components like pedals, amps, cabinets and many cool effects like delay and reverb, which if you were to buy physically would cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, while each amp sim is only about 100-120 euros but all of them are 50% off right now so you might wanna quickly grab it if interested.

    1:39 yup. This is the 1st riff I heard that immediately hooked me. Groovy nasty shit like that. And It was the live playthrough on yt. I listened to it so many times. Love that shit. Really sets the tone for everything that’s wonderful about the album. And still John brown and olly Steele’s music

    I may address the elephant in the room for a bit. I've noticed your views have been dropping ever since you've started reacting to more djenty stuff over the past year. It's nothing that you're doing that's wrong, it's simply that djent is something that people generally don't want to listen to it in the realm of metal, and I find this pretty perplexing. Djent has everything you can ask for from a metal band imo, only evolved further. It has the grooves, the chunky tone, the great melodies, but it just seems like a means to end (again, something the general metal community doesn't want to listen to). I don't know if the music is too complex for people or what is the deal, it serioously is bewildering to me. Great video as always man, it's unfortunate that the metal community as a whole it seems doesn't appreciate this genre. This is something I wanted to speak about for a while, I think this is such an interesting topic of discussion. Djent has everything that a metal fan could want in a metal band, yet 99% of metal fans around the world don't want to listen to it, why is that?

    • @Abaddonian
      @Abaddonian 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I remember at the height of the Djent movement people use to say they didn't like it because all they do is palm mute. But I'm leaning toward your explanation, most people like easy listening and even for metal his is pretty complex.

    • @TundraCH
      @TundraCH 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Abaddonian That is fair, but a band such as Gojira or Tool are just as complex and have developed a cult following for their music. So its proven that complex bands can gain recognition. Djent bands arent at that point yet I guess.

      @@TundraCH yeah but the downside to that is everyone compares other bands to tool etc. The tool fanbase honestly killed it for me. They can be so elitist about music. I actually prefer Rishloo and Karnivool to tool.
