    Tomorrow will be my first time flying on Jetstar from CHC-WLG, thought i'd try another airline for a change., rather than just the usual norm. If i like what i see then i will consider a trans-tasman flight later this year 2024 I enjoyed your flight review as alway's!.👍

      Just remember that they’re a budget airline, so you need to follow the rules, and it’ll be fine. I’ve flown a few budget airlines and they’re pretty basic, but they get you there, and generally at a lower cost. I hope your flight is awesome tomorrow!

    As crew for Jetstar, VGA is 186 seats. There is only about 3 in the entire NZ/AU fleet that have the old 180 config, all of which (I think) have a ''Q'' in the rego.

      All that sleuthing, and all I need to do was ask you and I'd have known the truth immediately! Your comment is very validating, and so I really really like it - thanks!

      VQE, VQF, VQM, VQP, VQQ, VQR, VQW, VFY, YXQ, YXS, YXT, YXU, YXV, YXW, XNJ, XNN, XNI, XNP and XNW are all configured with 180 seats. 180 seats are the older seats, (which in my opinion are more comfortable), and they are callled the B/E Aerospace Pinnacle 1017029 & 1017030-series. Whereas the newer ones, the JetStar A320s that have 186 seats are made by Recaro, and are the BL3530 series. I find the newer seats to be more uncomfortable as they are more thin. I've flown on JetStar multiple times, and two of those times I was lucky enough to get one that had the 180 seat configuration (VQF and VQR). It is more comfortable than the 186 configuration from my experience.
      Hope this helps the confusion a little. :)

    Haha! There's a restaurant chain in America called Church's Chicken. Guess NZ has Christchurch's Chicken?

      Hahaha! I don't even know what that comment was about - I think is was on a review of a flight in Romania a few years ago. I'm guessing it's related to my Kiwi accent, but who can say? I can solemnly swear that I've never ever seen a chicken in an airport in all of my life, but I'm always going to be on the lookout from now on...

    i can agree that Jetstar need some more planes. i was meant to go to Queenstown with them in 2020, the flight was cancelled and the next day we had to fly up to Auckland then down to Queenstown :/

      You were a day late, which sucks, but you did get two plane rides for the price of one! I hope they didn’t lose any of your luggage.

    Hi I love your vids could you please tell me your editing software?

    • @SupersonicKiwi
      @SupersonicKiwi  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's so kind of you, thanks! I use Premiere for the edit, and I think (hope) I'm getting better! There's a little bit of After Effects (for the information panels on the planes in Wellington), but I'm very new to AE, so this took we waaaaaay longer than I thought it would!
      I also think they're getting better because I have more video to choose from and more in-flight audio (of announcements). The next one will be an international from about 4 years ago (because I miss flying in other parts of the world) and I'm struggling because I have so much less footage than I get now - even just to track taxiways and stuff. I'm also learning more about how airports and commercial flights work, and am trying to get that into the videos as well.

    • @SupersonicKiwi

      It certainly has that over Auckland. I'm based in Wellington and in the before times, when we could visit other countries and then return home again, it was definitely easier to transit between domestic and international in Christchurch than in Auckland. Although if I'm honest I had started transiting in Sydney and Melbourne more frequently as I find it quicker to do customs and passport control at the very beginning or very end of my journey.

    • @SupersonicKiwi

      I quite like A320s - I feel like they have slightly more headroom than the 737 or other narrow body aircraft, and certainly more stable in the air than turboprops. I'm not a Jetstar fan, although a few times I've been able to have holidays further away from home because of their much lower price point, and the crews are generally friendly enough. Anyway, thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment, I truely appreciate it.
