I'd go with the Pixel 9 for a few reasons. No 120 hertz is garbage in late 2024. Then iPhone keeps putting out the same phone year after year. No innovation. And the biggest deal breakers for me on iPhone are iOS 18 immediately causing me to lose 2 percent battery health, battery health on iPhones being a scam and despite their "customization" in iOS 18, iPhones still feel limited. Pixels aren't perfect but year after year they keep innovating and refining their new phones.
Different skin tones, details in zoom, colors of the photos where iPhone has warmer and greener. Sound of the mic, the angle of cameras. Mam where do you see the same phones ? 🤣🤣🤣
I know the double tap gesture to the back of the phone can be mapped to any application. The power button can only be mapped to the assistant as far as I know.
No way, using a 13 Pro and Nothing Phone(1), i could buy an iPhone 16. No 120hz in 2024 means ⛔. Also, this new Pixel design is great, the display is nice too, AOD of course and most Android features i need. Pixel 9 is not perfect but i will never give credit to a 60hz smartphone.
I normally do get the new iPhone every year. But this year I went with Google Pixel. I have no regrets and no issues with my Pixel 9. I’m enjoying it. And I’ve been with iPhone since iPhone 3GS.
I switched from the pixel 7 Pro to the iPhone 16 Pro because I wanted something new but the only great thing about the iPhone is the iOS is not flat and straight like the pixel. Pixel has more useful features mostly with auto. Great thing that you can install Google app and get some of the AI features from the pixel.
Yea that’s my issue there. There’s not a lot of features with the iPhone. For the price you play with the iPhone you would think it does better I have both and it’s better to have features than having a dull phone unless you make content
In the uk the Pixel 9 is like seriously considerably cheaper on a phone plan than the iPhone, currently the pixel 9 is cheaper than the pixel 6 at launch on sale.
"Check your family, is your family on iOS..?" Maybe in America, but for some of us the question is, "is your family on WhatsApp..?" At which point, it's whatever phone bro
Not even a comparison, the processor means jack when the display is still running at 60hz. I can't believe that people still run out and buy that garbage anymore.
Does it really make that big of a difference? I have an older Samsung with just a 60 Hz display, my wife's phone has 120 Hz and I can't tell a difference.
iPhone so far behind, and this review doesn't touch on why, instead opta for dragging viewers in the mud with basic information a child can understand. Understandable for viewership... But nothing I want to see.
Hey, nice video. I just have a question: How is the spatial audio working on this new pixel, in terms of audio quality? Would like to get me a pixel, I think it has a better camera. I also consume a lot of apple music: this is a deal breaker for me.😊
iPhone is a little better. Sound quality is better. Pixel is great I owned 3 of them but they are not reliable when it comes to damage. You can drop the iPhone and still work, pixel one drop and it stops working
Have to disagree my iPhone 14 pro I dropped once it shattered the screen and I couldn't use it whereas my pixel 8 pro even my pixel fold never had a problem. I've dropped them. Never broke a screen on them
That's all anecdotal at best, any device stands the risk of no longer properly working if dropped on the wrong spot. I had a Pixel 6 Pro and dropped it plenty of times without a case and it functioned perfectly well the entire time.
I still own all my old iPhones and they all still work. All 3 of my pixel phones do not work. Not a slight against pixel (I’m a pixel fan and prefer to use it) but it’s just the FACTS. All had phone cases (pixel phones) versus iPhone with no cases
@jevonsims900 Really? How the hell isn't anyone complaining ... I thought I was coming back to Android for good ... but wait it's working fine with Google Assistant so it can't be that high.
My Samsung Google assistant has become useless... Can't call people, can't use Google maps to change my route anymore... It's really sad. I was hoping it was because my phone is old, but it sounds like maybe it's not it's age?
@@rossallen738 nah man I’m getting same thing with Gemini and google assistant .. seems like maybe Apple sued them and took away that feature from them .. but just saying that seems like TH-camrs are getting paid to not bring it up cause I haven’t heard anything about it . Apparently it has been happening for more than a year.
do creators think asking ppl to subscribe midway through the video is a better grab than in the beginning? either way, people will not subscribe unless they want to, no matter how many times & ways you ask.
Just as I can't conceive that, by the end of 2024, an $800 smartphone will have a 60 hertz display, just as, I find it even worse to have an $800 smartphone with a mid-range processor that tries to hide this by selling the lie that its processor is specifically designed for iA, which is absolutely false, even the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Apple A16 generation processors are more powerful than the Tensor G4 in ML and Ai tasks 🤷🏽♂️
Nah 60hz is just garbage in 2024. Regardless what you think about their mumbo jumbo speak, the real world performance speaks for itself. It works. The performance difference is not noticeable unless you are side by side. It very mucb is noticeable the hz difference
iPhone takes warm and green tones. Pixel takes color that your eyes see - natural but not always, sometimes pics are vibrant, sometimes don’t. Same with iPhone. I would pick Pixel. Cheaper price, photo quality like iPhone 15.

60 hz on the iPhone for 800-900? No thanks
I made my mind the second I knew that.
you’ll live
@@Ueidheiruskakyd yeah, I'll live without the iPhone lol

At this point most of the phones are the same. It solely depends on your choice which one to buy.

He forgot to mention the fact that the power button on the Google pixel can be remapped to whatever you want, just like an action button.
I know the double tap gesture to the back of the phone can be mapped to any application. The power button can only be mapped to the assistant as far as I know.
Nope, I don't think so.
Gemini isn’t the only “AI” stuff on the Pixel.

Saw many people complaint at this during leaks but now they love it 🤣 honestly it’s a fresh design I love that. iPhone is boring every year.

Pixel 9 FTW

Gemini live is on a whole different level and it’s awesome!
Can I ask what do you use it for. What do you talk about?
great video
Pixel dominanted with its noise abatement for misc background

There is no co relation between the processor and having a 60hz display

Best phone picks
1.s24/pixel9 depending on software preference
2.iphone 16
3xiaomi 14
Or use the pixel watch I have had both of them and my pixel watch is amazing a lot better in every way than the boring square apple watch everyone has
i have a macbook and i am still trying to choose between the google pixel 9 and the iphone 16
Double Tap the back of a Pixel phone for custom shortcuts
same for iphone
11:43 you said Pixel is the king of the portrait photos but just look at noises around the object - Pixel has more noises.
Pixel got my vote!
What from the start a 60hz display on a $800 right of the top would make it a no go.
If Apple put 120Hz on every single iPhone people would say "it's about time" then ask for 144Hz cause obviously 120Hz is old in 2026.
@jevonsims900 a $800 shouldn't have a 60hz refresh rate in 2024 you can get a $250 Android phone with 120hz refresh rates
Does it really make that big of a difference? I have an older Samsung with just a 60 Hz display, my wife's phone has 120 Hz and I can't tell a difference.
@@rossallen738If you can't tell the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz and then there's something really really wrong happening.

drop my pixel multiples times but the quality is still good. case really help especially thick ones absorb impact very well
Nobody brings up the fact that pixels have a major bug . Voice commands such as call so and so can't be done unless you unlock your screen first 😢
That's not just Pixel that's 95% of Android phones running Android 13 or later. Google keeps taking away good features from Android.
