I also got a six-pack from the Kickstarter offering. Mine arrived a couple days ago.
Two of the instant films exploded as I was pulling the tab out. The developer was everywhere inside my camera, and I had to carefully clean it out. Before anybody asks, I followed directions to the letter.
The remaining photos were very light and the color balance leaned to the magenta side of things. I also observed the discolorations on both the left and right sides of the developed images. Those aren't light leaks. Those are caused by the chemistry.
Finally, after the images dried, they had a pronounced curvature along the length of the frame.
For me, One Instant is a good start, but I won't be buying any more.

I noticed the curvature as well. I agree it is not perfect, but at least a start.

That's cool, I have my packs that I Kickstarted, but have yet to use them, only came a few weeks back. I got my Colorpack II for Christmas 1970 and it is my go to pack camera!!!

You are brave, to use an insane expensive film on a auto exposure, plastic lens camera.. for the price of this film pack you can get a Polaroid 180 with Japanese glass lenses, full manual exposure and Zeiss focusing viewfinder.

You underestimate the Polaroid Colorpack. It may be a plastic lens camera but I got great results with it. I also have the 180 and other manual focus peel apart cameras but still prefer to use the colorpack because its ease of use.

I wonder have you used one instant recently? If so it might be worth making a video on it cause ive got a small deal going with them for a sort of last run production of color p7 roll film using their material and id like to see what changes have been made and have a image to compare it to

I haven't used them since I made this video but I have one or two of these left. I wonder if they expired?

@@erasertech16 ive kept mine in a deticated refrigerator with a few dessicant packs to prevent moisture and almost 1 year later they're still working
However now im going to try using them on some special order integral components for use with a projection film

Sorry, there is NO comparison between these two films. The Fugi film is much more accurate in color, shadow, brightness, contrast. Also paying so much for a single shot, you want the picture perfect. Yes, the chemistry is new in the one instant, but the negative positive are from old Polaroid stock from the US that was in rolls and cut to shape. There was a rumer that Kodak might produce this film again, but it never panned out....too bad....!

Yep, I agree. Nobody could ever replicate the original packfilm. Bummer.
