    Is it only going to be one image per package (then you must re-load it in a darkroom)?? Or will it be assembled light fuji product where I can load it in the field and have XXXXX amount of images before I open another box? Also what will be your source for the positive paper when the polaroid stock runs out? Doing a school project on this--- please reply, thank you!

      ONE INSTANT is a SINGLE SHOT peel-apart instant film. Supplied to you in a sealed, pre-loaded, lightproof eco-friendly paper cartridge (this is of essential importance because only a hand loaded single shot cartridge can be produced without the need of crazy machines and millions of pre-investment). You can purchase 3, 6 and 18 packs on supersense.com/oneinstant
      The P7 ONE INSTANT edition is just the very first material we plan to load our new paper cartridges with: we have several super promising potential partners who can supply us with breathtaking photo-sensitive materials in the very near future.
      For any further questions please write directly to service@supersenes.com

    Does your team think this project is going to take as long to match the original product (or as close as current technology will allow) as the Impossible Project did to make a reasonable replacement for Polaroid stock? At the price point this is being offered I'm not feeling strongly inclined to invest given what I'm seeing here (very few of these shots even fill the entire frame) though I supported the Kickstarter the second it landed in my InBox. I only recently read the pricing information properly and realised it will cost about the same per shot as the old Fuji stock cost for a pack of 10! Still wish you every success, mind...

      The shutter on the camera is on the lens itself, the wire going from the lens to the handle on the left of the camera means you can use the button on the handle to fire the shutter :)

    That is beautiful! Why is there a yellow frame around the photo?

    • @supersense695
      @supersense695 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Replicating the extremely clean frame from the Fuji & Polaroid products turns out to be one of the most difficult things for us to achieve with ONE INSTANT. We could of course say that we simply like it the way it is (which i s true!), but honestly it is beyond our capabilities at the moment to avoid this yellow frame, which is caused by excessive concentrations of processing chemistry at the interface between mask and positive receiver sheet.

    Homemade "instant" film?
    I heard several years back the Fuji Films was making instant film for one of the Polaroid formats but it was only available in Japan. Anyone have any more info on this?
    Polaroids were used by a lot of professional photographers in the past to set up the shot and have an instant preview of what were shooting.
    From what I remember Polaroid even made a positive / negative film, Type 665, that would provide one a black and white image as well as a negative for the photo. The negatives emulsion however was quite delicate. There was a way to harden the emulsion however that is lost in time for me.

    • @entity9742
      @entity9742 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would like to retract that idea since ive had more time to work on pods and films like this
      It seems this pod would work better in a pa-45 holder (4x5 packfilm) given its larger than the rollers length to properly break the pods

  • @JeffDvrx
    @JeffDvrx 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I so wished they could make new film for land cameras... It'd probably be super expensive though because demand would be so low. But as for it being possible, wouldn't it be essentially the same emulsion and chemicals as for SX-70 film? I mean if they have the formula necessary and the suppliers... It sounds possible 🌈

    • @JeffDvrx
      @JeffDvrx 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fp.3710 oh! From the previous video I thought they were only using old original Polaroid stock and once that was gone that was it, but the description on that page seems to suggest otherwise. They're making new reagent at least, but it doesn't say whether they're working on brand new positives/negatives. They write around that bit very carefully lol

    • @thomasboesgaard
      @thomasboesgaard 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The machinery for producing the film packs unfortunately don't exist anymore. Otherwise that might have made it possible. With the impossible project, they still had the machines for producing 600-, spectra- and 8x10-films.

    • @JeffDvrx
      @JeffDvrx 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thomasboesgaard I'd guess manufacturing integral film should be way more complicated that peel apart... With enough resources they should be able to reproduce those machines at a smaller scale, after all they're making this "one instant" batch from individual components
