I work for a lawfirm with attorneys who make on average 250k and up. They all wear the dusty vans, chucks that are on life support etc etc. As soon as a client is scheduled, they wear Prada, Balenciaga, Hugo Boss suits you name it....If it wasn't for the clients, you would think the people walking around here (both black and white) would give two shits about the shoes they put on their feet.

What’s truly valuable can not be bought.. ie good health, positive outlook, energy, passion, success, good people around you - friends, family, and associates. I have been told by friends who have come here from other countries that they are here to get the money and then move back to their country to purchase a home because it is cheaper there than here, and this is where the money is. I think women have always been vanity driven , it’s in their DNA since the beginning of time . The difference between the past and now is , it’s a dealbreaker now . Not having trinkets and living the life of luxury is bringing on severe insecurities , depression , and or bad attitudes in today’s women . Now that comes from decades of marketing pushing that luxury in your face .

Missed the whole point. I can live here, where when I approach a woman in public, I’m weird. Something that isn’t talked about with the dudes going abroad to find women is that they are moving the goal posts in terms of the expectations of their partner. The women from abroad don’t have the same expectations as women in America because they are used to less. So it is easier for men to provide for them.
But I think men underestimate the cultural differences which inevitably make it harder for them to connect on an emotional level with those women.
