A bad mother who is present is always going to be worse than a bad father who is absent, and many absent fathers are not absent by choice but because the mothers were spiteful. (I used the word deadbeat the wrong way in the original comment)
The damage his father's absence caused pales in comparison to what his abu5ive mother (who was "present") caused; watch the full video and pay attention to what he says.

Lady in white was trying to nod her head as if she was in agreement with what Smart was saying, however, her body language screamed how childish and rude she was. Also looking at her watch, who does that. Interview was highly edited, with many of Smart’s points removed, which was disappointing.

I’ve spoken about my relationship with my mother in this show plenty of times for my track record to prove that I don’t mind holding mothers accountable, bc at that end of the day, we all have to pay the piper when it comes down to what we do to people. Not sure why you think I’m trying to equate his parents’ wrong doings. At the beginning we clearly opened the show about daddy issues, so we needed things to relate and tie back. Remember, we are producing a show that we’d prefer to not cut up for continuity. At the end of the day, we appreciate you watching, but I’d prefer to not be mischaracterized, esp when he made us aware of the disgusting things his mother did to him. To be honest, I felt bad for him. Real pity. No one deserves that, esp from a person who birthed you, and I truly wish him the best in fighting those traumas and course-correcting. It’s quite apparent that he has a lot to overcome, so me exacerbating that does nothing for him, me, or our show. Again, we appreciate the views and comments. ❤️

At the beginning of the show the married woman said, "it's an American problem ". It's a world problem with every child who is born into a single family household. But here in America, the black community has a 75% rate of being born into a single parent household is a problem. Why try to include other demographics to deflect or distract from the reality of an issue within the community? Accountability! The black community needs to do better, women have access to sex, and men have access to marriage. Can't have a child unless a woman decides to sleep with someone out of wedlock. But because of feminism, which is the work of white supremacy, has these women enabling and being supportive of BEING single mothers, especially if they are raising boys!

Keep it real this definitely goes against most mothers. Because most children have negative traumatizing experience with their mothers. Their mothers don’t care the trauma that they have delivered onto their child, nor the harmed they cost. Most women never say I’m sorry. I will need to they don’t need it. So it’s more than most. Because as we grow and mature in life and deal with other women whether we do now or female we see the negative attributes of most women. Especially after they become mothers.

The whole interview is chopped up whenever he's talking, anyone who has actually followed Smarts career or knows him, knows that he doesn't hate black women and actually speaks highly of us in several other interviews. There was a point trying to be made hear but we can't even hear the full conclusion of the matter to see him drive it home. Why interview someone and not post the actual interview? 💁🏾‍♀️

This is a powerful message from a man who's been sharpened by the stones of life. I love the fact he stayed on topic. Never flinched. And clearly that young lady was uncomfortable with as she described his "disdain" for his mother and kept trying to bring his father into his story. Sometimes we have to acknowledge and deal with the fact there are some bad deadbeat horrible mothers out there. And that doesn't mean women in general are terrible. However too many people, this woman in particular can paint the picture that all men are bad because of possibly her father. We have to do better as a society.

I love strong men, esp those who don’t have to do a lot of talking to establish strength and respect. Everything they do and say speaks for them. I come from a family of real men, and I also wholeheartedly give respect when it’s given. Once you cross that line, it’s done. Only reason I didn’t say anything else is bc I respect my cohosts and the production team, and I’m not about to have us waste time on footage we can’t use. That’s bad business. Hope that helps you understand how erroneous your statement is, bc his presence didn’t bother me at all, esp when there were other men in the room and the men in my life are on speed dial.

Also, You’ve never seen me back a woman with whom i disagree with, bc right is right and wrong is wrong. If anything, I ask questions to understand (like I was doing in this clip) or I sit and listen. Like really, how can one have an opinion on that guys life?? I don’t know him, never heard of him, and have been fortunate enough to have never experienced the trauma he’s been through. So, yes I was sitting there and listening and trying to understand, and trying the keep the show on track with respect to the stated topic. Hell, at the beginning, you can even see me nodding my head agreeing with him. Bc i do believe that men need a space and should have a voice-also, something I’ve said multiple times on this show. But like I said, once he became disrespectful to production and my cohosts, and me, I was good on that. I didn’t have anything else to say. In my opinion, adults (real men and real women) don’t act like that, so I was fine with sitting there and being quiet until it was cut time. Thanks for being a fan of the show.

Look at how the woman on the right, looked at him when he said to all the black men “do you know how beautiful you are?” And he girl on the left was listening the entire time without switching her position or having a disfigured look on her face while he spoke

This is such an eye opening video it should be studied by the whole community. You see the truth play out as he’s speaking, one woman up there respects and loves BM, one does not,🤔🤯

The excuses we as a society make for “terrible mothers” specifically needs to be talked about more, my mom is the same way she feels like because she provided an did just didnt dessert me that I should be grateful when in reality I basically raised myself. Now I’m older with my own kids I tried to sit down and talk to my mom about my issues with her and she dismissed every word I said & even told me “I was acting like a bitch that I need to get over the past”
After that conversation I completely washed my hands with her & my sister, all family ain’t really family. I don’t give single mothers extra credit for CHOOSING to be single mothers & treat their kids like a burden I’m sorry that’s just me tho
